Never written a one star review before, but this experience was unbelievable. As a 7 year customer of Joann Cleaners, I recently tried to put on my clean tux for an event, only to discover the waist was 7 inches wider and length was 10 inches shorter than required… bottom line… not my tuxedo. One does not wear a tuxedo every day, so it had been a while since I picked it up. After my wife returned to the store to explain the situation and return the tux, they explained they don’t have my tuxedo. When the discussion turned to how we can make this«wrong» into a «right.» The employee, whom we have known for a long time, began yelling at her, calling her a liar and saying that she only wanted the money. She then threw the clothes back at her which she had brought for cleaning. Finally, telling my wife that they do not want her business and she must leave the store… again this is after 7YEARSOFBEING A REGULARCUSTOMER. You are probably thinking, «there has to be a catch.» Amazingly there is not one. This is simply just the worst example of customer service that you will probably ever hear. Even if Joann would not offer a settlement or store credit, this is no reason to verbally abuse someone to the point of crying. While others may cite a positive experience here, like we did for 7 years, it is just façade and a ticking time bomb when something goes wrong. There are way too many good dry cleaners who actually care about you. Joann cleaners no longer wants my business and I implore you to not give them your business.

I’ve found them to be very personable. Clothes always come back clean. Only reason I’m giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is they are a little pricey. I’ll continue to go here out of convenience and appreciate their kind attitude.

Had to change dry cleaners because the previous one didn’t appreciate my business. Joann’s cleaner so far has been a remedy to all my dry cleaner needs. They are prompt and courteous and the ultimate plus to the store is the owners daughter. She’s pretty cute. The downside to this place is the fact that I don’t see her often enough. It seems like she helps her mom part time.

I gave my shirt in for an alteration. I asked them to remove an inch from the sleeves of my shirt. I got it back 4 inches shorter on each arm effectively making the shirt unwearable. I bought the shirt for $ 90 a year ago and did not have a receipt. They argued that the shirt was old therefore will not refund me more than $ 20. I argued for an hour with them during which they insulted me with racially derogatory comments in English and Korean(I know some offensive korean words and heard them and the word for«Indian» and the Korean equivalent«indoui» are not that difficult to tell apart). They did not accept responsibility and haggled without any sense of liability about their mistake. They laughed when I told them about how terrible their customer service was and said a sarcastic«thank you». Never going here again.

Well, this used to be a good place to take your clothes, but they have now turned themselves into the«soup nazi» type of business in the blink of an eye. Yes, the clothes are reasonably priced and they come back clean and well done. However, and this is a big deal to me… the owners have hired a new person to work there and she is extremely terse and unfriendly with tons of attitude to spare. I have taken clothes in a couple of times in the last few months and she is the person there most of the time. I come in to drop off clothes later in the afternoon, let’s say Tuesday around 3pm. This means my 3 – 6 items should be ready by Thursday morning. That gives them one day. The employee never asks if I want starch or when I want it back. She prints of the little pink ticket and grumbles It will be ready on Friay after 6! I started to ask if I can have it a day early and she cuts me off and repeats Friday after 6. I let it go one time, but the second time I asked… don’t you have one day service? And she said yes… so I told her that is what I want. She went that time to the back ask Angela if it is okay and then they agreed. Totally ridiculous that I even had to ask for that. I used to always get one day service automatically, but now it is assumed you will pick up in 2 – 3 days. Slow service. Well, that is not even the worst part. Today I dropped off 3 items and the same lady was working the desk. Angela not there. A customer was in there getting one shirt… picking up. I walked into a serious arrgument between them regarding price. Apparently, the prices printed on the man’s ticket were wrong and when he came to pick up he was charged more. He argued that a supermarket would honor their orices and she basically told him too bad. He was angry and left all mad and shouting. She shouted back!!! What ever happened to the customer is always right? She told him prices change and she forgot to mention it. Geez, it was extremely unpleasant and I was very uncomfortable standing there watching this happen. I handed her my three items again today and of course… ready Friday after 6! That’s 2 days. Should be Thursday afternoon. She was very terse with me when she asked my name and I spelled out the last name. She looked me in the eye and said … That is whatbI had already. So what? I was trying to help her find it, geez. I have experienced this now three times now, so that means they are out. I am picking up these items and then taking my business elsewhere. I am paying them for a service and expect good service and not attitude. I am sure they lost that other guy too. So two customers lost in five minutes! Not good business practices. They should be careful who is representing them. I think they are too slow also, so will look for another dry cleaners. This is a free market and they aren’t the only ones out there. What a shame.
