If you are looking for Dr Stansbury he can be located at TL Dental Group in Woodstock off of Towne Lake Parkway. 770−924−8848. I had to look REALLY hard to find him when his old office refused to provide any information. After 20+ years, it was worth the hunt!!! Dr. Stansbury does great work but doesn’t «make work». He’s worth the extra drive for.

I have to agree with the Craig as far as the technology and the staffing. Dr Stansbury definietly succeeds with the technology and most of his staff are wonderful people. I ran into a billing issue with my insurance based on information provided by Dr Stansbury’s staff. I was about to hit my annual maximum and asked the staff to check with my insurance before the work was performed. I was told the work would be within my maximum and covered under insurance so I had the work done. The total bill was $ 3,000+. My insurance covered $ 300 when the should have covered $ 1,300. When I called and asked about the discrepancy, Dan in billing was curt and provided very little assistance. I left a message for Dr Stansbury and had to follow up several times over a couple weeks to recieve a response. Rather than calling me personally, I received a response from one of the other doctors in the office. What should have been a personal and quick response turned into a lengthy waiting period with interference run by someone else in the office. Not at all professional in my opinion. Asking for a refund of the $ 1,000 based on very bad information provided by his office, I was offered a $ 500 credit toward future work. I’ve been with his office for 5 years since my original dentist(Peter Bain) had transitioned my account(retired). I had planned on getting future work done with his office as they are a good staff however this experience has left me very dissatified. Not only Dr Stansbury handle this situation poorly, he’s lost a loyal client and supporter as well.

I know good dentistry. Well, actually, my wife knows good dentistry and I’ve learned a lot from her. She’s been a Dental Assistant for about 25 years and has kept up with the latest technologies including LVI training. So it’s with authority that we’re giving Dr. Stansbury a high rating. He’s also been in the business quite some time, but has resisted the temptation of mediocrity by adopting evolving technology without succumbing to fads. A number of his employees have also been with him a long time. Low turnover and loyalty indicates integrity to me and is equally important as his clinical skill. This integrity was also evidenced in his consultation as he presented multiple options, discussed their pros & cons, and didn’t pressure me to select the one that generated the most revenue. Being a logical type, I would have settled for professional knowledge and skill, but he and his staff go the extra mile with a very friendly«bedside manner.» Ironically, I also got my vehicle tags the same morning and the dentist visit was a highlight in comparison. Even though he’s not in our insurance network, it’ll be worth the extra paperwork.
