LearningRx – Atlanta-Buckhead

I would never refer anyone to Learning Rx. While my son’s test scores at the center «improved,» his actual learning at school diminished significantly. As a mother of an ADHD unmedicated boy, I was looking for a solution to frustrations with homework, specifically math. I did not see ANY success with my son’s training. We were certainly hoping that the benefits of spending $ 9,000 and driving to the center four times a week might become evident at a later date, but this has not been the case. In committing ourselves to this training, he fell behind in understanding and learning basic math concepts at school. We have now had to pay for a math tutor twice a week. As an educator with 25 years of experience, she has commented on his lack of short term memory and inability to remember his multiplication tables, which Learning Rx promised had improved dramatically. Homework never became «easier» and he remains completely frustrated at being so far behind in his math class at school. The only thing that he gained from this center was a great memory of listing the Presidents.
I have been completely appalled as a parent with Learning Rx and I tell anyone who will listen to not waste their money or their time. Everyone who works there treated us very nicely, but at the end of the day we saw no improvements. They had no «solution» at the end of 6 months training but to shrug their shoulders and recommend we spend money on counseling to decrease his frustration level. Every month I pay for this and highly regret the amount of time and money we have wasted at Learning Rx.

My son has been brain training here for almost a year, and we have seen dramatic improvements in his capabilities. The staff is exceedingly knowledgeable, friendly and supportive. I highly recommend LearningRx.
