Was in Atlanta in May for my daughters college graduation, and this was her pick. The wait was about 5 minutes only bc they needed to get a big enough table together and it was around lunch time on a Monday. I can’t remember what all we had, but there were wings, pulled pork, ribs, spicy baked beans, mac n cheese… The food was very tasty, and the sauce wasn’t bad(there was a regular and spicy on the table). It didn’t take long for our orders to come out(it was about 7 of us), the food was well prepared and hot when it reached the table. My brother and I ordered drinks from the bar and I’m upset that I don’t remember the bartenders name, but she was a beast with the mixed drinks. When I visit Atlanta again I’m sure to have this place on my places to visit list.

So far it’s the best BBQ I have ever had, that being said we drove 5 hrs from Florida just to have it for a 2nd time during lunch. There sauces are incredible, the meats amazing. Just have it and no more words will need to be said.

Came here with a friend for dinner. About a 20 minute wait, but well worth it! We started with fried pickles which were crunchy and flavorful. Had a combo platter of ¼ chicken and ribs with sides of collard greens and baked beans. Everything was very flavorful — chicken and ribs were moist and fall of the bone tender. Taking enough home for a second meal! Can’t wait to come back on my next Atlanta trip!

Man I wish I could give more stars but here’s how it breaks down. Food — 4 stars. The brisket was incredible and the BBQ sauce is delicious but the ribs were pretty dry and the collard greens were super sweet… Typically I like collard greens salty and with that hint of smoked meat. Not the case. The frito pie however was the most incredible side ever. Service — 1 star. One single solitary star. We waited a half hie to be seated which was totally fine! We were so excited to try this staple of Atlanta. The server was just very short with our table of four. We were very patient with her. It took about 10 minutes for just our beers to arrive after ordering. Our food took almost an hour to get to our table. Pretty sure she forgot to put it in because we only ordered plates with one or two meats and two sides. We saw tables that came in after us get seated and eat before we even had our plates. She came and apologized after 45 minutes that they would be out in another 10. It the took forever to get anything else and it was just a typical dinner there– not too busy or anything. I would say you should definitely still try it. This is just my one experience but yeah, the service could have definitely been better. A lot better.

This was some of the best BBQ I have had. I use to live in st Louis and this stands up to the best out there. I got the short rib which was not short at all. It was huge! The seasoning gave the rib a great crust. I also got a frito pie side. It was served in a frito bag which was unusual but good. It kept everything contained and was delicious. My wife got the ribs. The had a sweet taste baked into them so I didn’t even add sauce. For a side she got some brisket chili. It has a ton of meat in it and I finished off what was left. The service was really good. Our server was very nice and always had a smile.

Visited: 06/11/2016 We came for dinner and it was extremely packed to the point of people waiting in the parking lot for a table. Therefore, we decided on getting it all to go. We were initially told the order would be ready within 30 minutes. However, we were really delighted that the food was ready within 15 minutes of us ordering. Ordered: Full rack of ribs with the two sides of: fries and Brunswick Stew. Ribs were delicious and we especially enjoyed how the meat fell off the bones. The complimentary sauce that came with the ribs added a perfect kick to the well prepared ribs. The fries were average and expected. My disappointment had to have been the Brunswick Stew which wasn’t exactly to my taste. It was thicker in consistency and wasn’t like how I’ve ever eaten my stews. It was certainly packed with meat and various vegetables, but I didn’t enjoy the consistency of the stew. Overall, I’m giving it a 4 out of 5 stars due to the delicious ribs and quality of service. We heard that the brisket plate was highly recommended. We might visit again to try out their brisket ;)

Finally came to see what the fuss is about. We split a three meat plate(ribs, brisket, smoked wings) with collards, spicy sauteed green beans, & mac n’ cheese. The verdict: not sure what the fuss is about. It’s good, but it’s not the best, not even close. The ribs were great — well seasoned & tender — and the collards were spot on, I slurped that pot likker right up like it was nobody’s business. The wings were pretty good, though not nearly smoky enough. But the brisket was dry and flavorless, the«spicy» green beans bland, the mac goopy & overcooked. Just too uneven for my tastes. Maybe a victim of its own success, when you’ve got a line out the door all day you’re bound to fall short sometimes.

So I came here today, a Saturday at about 12:30. It was extremely busy which was a good thing. I like to take that to mean the food is good. The wait was 45 minutes. The parking lot was full and it was hard to find a park on the street butt I was worth it. Even though it was busy inside and out the wait for the food wasn’t bad and taste delicious. I’m not a big bbq fan but I loved it. I tried their pulled pork with Mac and cheese and a side of jalapeño cornbread. The corn bread is a must try. I loved it all and will definitely be back!

What’s the best way to gain weight? Order a big dinner from Fox Bros, of course! I wanted to try a popular BBQ restaurant in Atlanta. Thankfully, one of my colleagues from Atlanta recommended this establishment! We ordered a few popular dishes for a group dinner due to working late at the office. It was my first time eating Fritos pie, Mac & Cheese and tarter tots with meat(while listening to Zac Brown in the background). Everything was delicious(refer to my photos) especially the ribs! It was so tender and juicy. Definitely a must try item. The banana pudding was also very good! I can’t describe my «southern BBQ» experience without saying you must try Fox Bros for yourself! The portions are relatively big and the prices are reasonable! As a result of this experience, I think it’s time for me to go to the gym after tonight’s dinner!

This is the best bbque in the atlanta!!! We stopped here due to reviews. The place was packed. We had a short wait but at least they had cold water for everyone waiting outside. My husband ordered the special the short rib which was humongous!!! Think Flintstone style. Plus it came with two sides. He ordered frito pie and brisket chili. I ordered the combo of ribs and pullec pork. The ribs were the best ribs that I have ever had. I also enjoyed the cornbread!!! The service was very pleasant despite the slammed restaurant.

I just happened to catch one of those Food’ie shows that displayed Fox Brother’s and the comments were all outstanding. I thought, nawww… not in Atlanta… no way. Fox Brother’s bring’s a slice of Texas to Georgia… no way. Well, I can state for a fact, they did and they do it well, very well indeed. The area off either 75⁄85&20 is not the best/safest; you know, cash for your car, bars on windows, gang markings on walls of buildings(everywhere), etc. When you get within a block or two of the restaurant, Millennials & Gen X’ers have been buying in this area rehabbing the homes. So on street parking was fine, you’ll be safe. Just don’t walk more than 5-blocks away in any direction… you’ll be fine. Three of us started off with their Texas fries with the pulled pork option minus the jalapenos. Oh my… If you don’t control yourself, you will literally eat the whole plate and have no room for your meal. These fries were off the hook! Just dip them in the provided ranch dressing and try to stop yourself. I had the brisket platter, ordered it on the fatty side with chili-mac & jalapeño corn-bread. The brisket was succulent, pulled apart with ease, extremely tender, not over-seasoned, and I lightly put their base BBQ sauce on it… WOW! I haven’t I had that taste sensation since my last trip to Austin. The brisket today was as close to Texas as you can find in the state of GA! The chili-mac was more than the name implies. It was shells & cheese, with a pulled pork mixture of chili. I could of ate a bucket of it! It was fantastic. I didn’t think it could get better until I tried the warm jalapeño corn-bread with butter. I was ready to dance. The flavors were fantastic and popping. This is a meal where you need to take a small bite of one item and add a quick 2nd bite of the jalapeño corn-bread to allow the flavors explode in your mouth. The pull pork sandwiches were also served with tater tots and again, this meal nailed the mark. The pull pork was cooked to perfection, and extremely tender too. Even the tots were served crispy, not over-cooked whatsoever. Can you tell I’m stoked? I finally found great BBQ in the Atlanta area… thank you Fox Brother’s! The hour plus drive each way was well worth the insanity of the downtown connector! Simply put… get in your car and go! Note: They give military discounts too!

My wife had a conference in Atlanta and we-me and our son, tagged along. While my wife did conference things, the boy and I explored and ate. Prior to leaving, I did some Unilocal research on Atlanta BBQ and discovered Fox Bros. I became obsessed with our impending visit. I imagined it would be some of the finest BBQ ever. And it was. We arrived at the restaurant twenty minutes before it opened for lunch. No problem. We were seated at the bar for just a few minutes until a friendly employee showed us to a great table by the window. Being railfans, we loved the view of the CSX rail line across the street. Ok, the food. My son had a full rack of ribs and fries. I had a big beef rib, fries and beans. No hyperbole, it was the best dam BBQ these Yankees have had. We didn’t want the meal to end. But it did. We brought brisket and pulled pork sandwiches back for my wife and her business partner who devoured them with gusto. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about that big beef rib. Hope to get back to Atlanta one day and visit Fox Bros. again

One of the top 5BBQ spots to try in Atlanta! 1. Food: a) The BC Plate: Great to share between two women. Men, I suggest you order your own platter. I love that the BBQ sauce was not smother on any of the meats and on the side. Ribs were great but I think it could be a little softer. The BBQ chicken was amazing, the meat was juicy and moist. The brisket was my favorite and it was really good wrapped in white bread. We got Mac and Cheese and Collard Greens, which were a great addition to our southern bbq. b) Chocolate Pecan Pie w/Cinnamon whipped cream: A must when visiting Georgia! 2. Décor: It feels like your sitting in your hipster friends backyard having bbq. Love it! 3. Price: Fair. 4. Service: There is a huge wait, but it cycles pretty fast since there are a lot of seats. Friendly service and our waitress provided great recommendations. Water was always filled.

Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q is the best barbeque that Atlanta has to offer. However, once you’ve experienced authentic Texas brisket, then everything else just makes you long for the real deal. With that said, I couldn’t have been more excited to attend a wedding catered by Fox Bros. The pimento cheese sandwiches and meatball appetizers were delicious. I should also mention that the Fox Bros. employees doling these out like cocktail waitresses were delightful. As for the main course, the pulled pork and macaroni & cheese were everything I hoped for and then some. It made for a truly delicious and memorable wedding dinner, as opposed to most weddings where the food is either unmemorable or bad. Fox Bros. brick and mortar restaurant is amazing(for Georgia) as well, but I can now say that I would without a doubt recommend them for catering as well.

The wife and I just moved to Atlanta and we’re looking for a good bbq spot. Fox Bros is your place. For the cost of a meal at chilis or Applebee’s you can get an excellent Georgia bbq meal. We both got the two meat combo dinner. I got ribs and brisket, and my wife got ribs and wings. For sides I got their brisket Mac n cheese and the chili. My wife got fried and corn bread. Everything here is amazingly delicious! I can’t wait to go back. The service is great. It gets busy here, so you have to be willing to wait 20 – 30 minutes for a table. Depending on when you go your wait will be much less. Relax, have a beer while you wait. Our waitress got all our orders correct, and checked on us periodically. It doesn’t take more than 10 – 20 minutes for the food to arrive. Again… relax and have a beer while you wait.

I’m no BBQ connoesiur, but I must say this place is pretty good. We ordered a lot of different meats and cheese fries and they were all really good. I’d have to say that their ribs were probably my favorite out of all the meats we got. I don’t like sauce, but theirs were with a dry rub and it was delicious. The meat didn’t necessarily fall off the bone, but it was almost there and I like it that way. The brisket was ok, as well as the chicken wings. The pulled pork was seasoned nicely and tender. I also really liked their dark chicken meat. Very tasty and not dry at all. Toddler loved it which is always a plus. We got mac and cheese for a side and cheese fries. Loved both of them and would order them again if I come back here. Bottom line, go here. It’s finger-lickin’ good!

BBQ taken to the next level. Hello America. Today is a brand new day with endless possibilities! You have the freedom of choice my friends, and your BBQ is personal. No one can tell you the correct way to eat it. It is your God given right as an American to have your BBQ the way YOU want it! However if it is your choice to eat someplace other than Fox Bros, you are squandering your freedom. BBQ so perfectly prepared that you do not need sauce! The Fox Brothers have a table reserved for you!(Be prepared to wait on a very long line) I arrived 15 mins after the doors open @11:15 and nabbed the last open table… By 11:30 the parking lot was full, and the wait was a dozen deep. Minivans, trucks and Übers clog the roads as if on a pilgrimage. There is a reason this beacon of smoked meat is in need of expansion… The BBQ is that good. The ribs are that elusive texture when they are so tender that it pulls off the bone with out any force. But still retains its structural integrity. Not mushy… With a dry rub with a salty sweet peppery bite that begs you to taste before slathering in sauce… The brothers know what is up. The brisket is straight outa Texas! With a perfect bark, and this dawg has some bite to-boot! I ordered both the fatty end sliced and chopped. It was smokey and juicy. The smoked wings were not the highlight… While I have no complaints. I prefer my smoked wings to be jumbo sized not baby buffalo. I also prefer my wings smoked then well done on the grill or fried… But I am a well known wing snob, so no sin committed by the Bro.‘s! The Mac and cheez is the unsung hero here! While everyone is mesmerized by the meat. Just as they are getting in their groove lickin’ their fingers and slipping into that food coma… I suggest you move in on their Mac and Chz while they are pre occupied. Creamy goodness tipped with gooey melted cheddar-jack. While most BBQ joints are asleep at the wheel on the sides, the bros do not allow any shade of inferiority on your plate. They even butter your jalepeno cornbread for you. The collard greens have chunks of ham hock floating around, and give you the sweet-sour-smokey trinity that will make you thankful for another moment of life.

Visited atlanta for few days and was looking for some great bbq. A local friend recommended here. I had read the reviews and were pretty right on. Ive never been to memphis or austin but hard to imagine better bbq than this. We went on a monday around 130. Even at that time there was a wait. Said 25, but it was more like 10 mins. Not bad at all. Sat outside. Great beer selection. The apps looked great but my experience with bbq is you are never short on food so we stuck with mains. I had the short rib. Its market price and says they serve til they run out. It was amazing. Huge piece of meat. Incredibly tender. It was very fatty but there was so much meat. I didnt finish half. The peppery rub was so good. You get two sides. I got chilli and potato salad. The chilli was light on meat but heavy on flavor. Excellent. Potato salad was also excellent. Red skin potatoes and just the right amount of mayo. The only caution is short rib was 35 bucks. But worth it Gf got the brisket. I tried it. Best ive had. Lean but flavorful. Their bbq sauce was tasty as well. Service was quick but very friendly. Fox didnt hit a wrong note. I will def be back when im in atl.

Local friends took us here during my visit to Atlanta. We waited over an hour for a table. There’s barely any parking, you wait in the heat(but they do provide cold water while you wait), and some seating… and somehow, it’s totally worth the trouble! I’ve had BBQ from all over the States, and this is probably some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had. We ate here around 2 pm on a Saturday, and it was PACKED. Beware that you’re going to be waiting, and if you have a large party like us, you just might be waiting extra long. However, once you’re seated, the food is served lightning fast. The staff is friendly and they will take care of you! Authentic southern hospitality. The table shared 2 appetizers: — The Tomninator: Tots smothered in Brunswick stew and topped with melted cheese. This was my FAVORITE of the two. The tots are crispy and the toppings give it extra yummy flavor. I am missing it now as I write a description for it. — Texas Fries: Fries smothered in bbq sauce and topped with chopped brisket, pulled pork, jalapenos and covered with melted cheese. Served with ranch. I’m not a person for surprise spiciness in my food, so I was wary of these fries. Under the melted cheese and tender meats, the fries were very starchy and bleh. But the toppings were all very good. I shared«The Everything Plate», which you can choose four meat portions: pulled pork, beef brisket(chopped/sliced), 4 chicken, ribs, 4 wings. I went with the pulled pork, sliced beef brisket, ribs, and 4 wings. EVERYTHING on the plate was DELICIOUS! I am a picky brisket person, and I loved it! Their brisket is super moist and tasty! I definitely tried to eat my boyfriend’s portion, muahaha! He really enjoyed the wings, and I liked the pulled pork. The rib meat falls off the bone, very tender and soft. Our entrée also came with 2 sides, which we chose mac-n-cheese and the collard greens. I loved the cheese in the mac-n-cheese, I couldn’t get enough. The collard greens were soft and tasty. Both added to our meal. If you can swing a visit, I highly suggest stopping by, regardless of wait time. Top quality BBQ!

I was told about Fox Bros BBQ and that it was a must in Atlanta. So I hopped off my flight to Atlanta, jumped in a rental car and drove over here like my life depended on it… I was dam hungry. It’s located outside of downtown Atlanta in a somewhat suburban area. There’s a parking lot attached to the restaurant, but it’s really small and doesn’t hold anywhere near the amount of people come to dine here. So you’re left parking on side streets in the half a mile radius surrounding the restaurant. Not cool. Once at the restaurant, there was an hour wait. Rough, but always a good sign that the food is worth it. You can grab a few drinks and have the outside, so that was cool. Once inside I had the fried pickles for app and an order of BBQ chicken with beans and Cole slaw. The food was very good. Fried pickles were what you’d expect and the BBQ chicken was very good. The beans were delicious and the slaw was good as well. Overall good BBQ, but not amazing. Definitely a good place to grab some BBQ. Restaurant has more of an upbeat bar vibe and look. Be prepared for a long wait, but the food is worth it.
