Einstein Bros Bagels

I just left this location and they were out of basically everything. I couldn’t even order any bagel toppers because they didn’t have all the ingredients.

so awesome! love this location! waited an extra three minutes for them to fix their cash drawer and they gave me a free smoothie! awesome staff!

Not surprisingly, the Howell Mill location suffers from the same problems that the Roswell Rd and Hammond Dr locations suffer. Bad service. Not fulfilling orders correctly. Attitude from the staff. Etc. the bagels are pretty good.

Good bagels. But awful service. Today I waited in line 15 minutes and was never served so I gave up and went elsewhere. During this time I watched a customer that the staff knew by name skip the line of about five waiting pay for and receive his order.

After all of these terrible reviews, I really don’t know why the management at this Einstein’s has not remedied the customer service situation. The past 3 times I’ve been to this location, the wait has been very long. And it has nothing to do with the amount of customers, I’ve been to several other Einstein’s where there are 5x the amount of people, and the food comes out much faster. It seems like the employees have not been properly trained, and that there is only one person allowed to take orders and payment. There also seems to be a clear lack of communication.
This morning was no exception. I came in at 7 AM, only customer in the place. No one in the drive through. I ordered from one employee, then she stood there for a couple of minutes, and just stared at the cream cheese. Then another lady comes around, asks what I want, and I tell her so she rings me up. Then she tells the original girl I ordered from, who finally makes my bagel, and somehow gets it wrong (everything bagel with plain cream cheese — not hard). Next time, I will use the extra 10 minutes I wasted here to go down the road to Goldberg’s.

Came here to use a coupon for free bagel with schmear with drink purchase. Man, I love saying «shmear»…
Ordered:
1) Asiago cheese bagel with garden and veggie schmear
2) Onion bagel with salmon schmear
3) dark roast coffee
4) regular/​medium roast coffee
We asked for our bagels to be toasted. My bf and I loved the Asiago cheese bagel much more so than the onion bagel. The onion bagel was not bad itself, but we did not like the salmon schmear, but we were trying to make a lox bagel. We chose a lighter tasting schmear to go with the Asiago bagel due to Asiago’s strong flavor and the veggie schmear worked in balancing the overall taste. The ‘schmear’ amount of schmear spread here was sufficient.
We really like our coffees on the dark roast side, but during our visit, we ended up liking the regular/​medium roast coffee more than the dark roast. Neither tasted burnt, but just a bit thin.
There’s a good selection of bagels and offer the thin kind for the health-​conscious.
Plenty of parking space too.

Here’s the thing, I generally really love Einstein brothers. This is the third and last time I’ve been to this location. The first was slow, but that’s okay.
The second I sat in the drive thru for 15 minutes before someone acknowledged that I was there. Then they got my order wrong.
Today I made the mistake of trying again. The customer service is so unprofessional. They were out of everything I ordered. The soda machine was out of order. I had to pull my own receipt out from behind the register and ask different people for cups, because the girl who took my order was too busy talking with her friends behind the counter. I ended up settling for a weird hodgepodge of random crap that was left for my coworkers lunch and decided on nothing for myself, with a lukewarm coke from the cooler. I’m really disappointed. Every other branch of the franchise has been fantastic. But this one has been crap every time.

Absolutely terrible customer service. It was made perfectly clear to me that all of the people working there hate their jobs! Who really enjoys working… I mean I get it but seriously people. Sometimes you have to fake it till you make it. I will never go back to this location. If someone doesn’t do something soon then I fear all of those people will be out of a job very soon. As far as the food goes… I have always enjoyed the food even though they got my order wrong this time. But honestly I can just go get bagels and coffee somewhere a little more inviting.

Probably more of a 3-​star place in general, but totally deserving of 4 stars today. The cashiers aren’t super professional, but they sure do hustle. The same girl took my order, got my bagels & rang me up (usually there is someone different per task) but everyone else was busy making sandwiches or coffee.
Despite the lack of professionalism (& often slow service) found at most Einstein’s Bagels, they are almost always super clean & I’ve never seen them let the coffee get low or run out. Pretty important in my book.
Also — Einstein’s bagel variety kicks most other bagel joints butts. Chili, jalapeño cheddar, spinach… So good.

I have always enjoyed the food at Einsteins, however, after reading the Unilocal reviews about this location, I must admit, I was a little apprehensive about eating here. I was so hungry that I tried it anyway.
I was pleased with the level of customer service I received from Ashley. She greeted me immediately and described each sandwich on the menu. I ordered the sandwich she recommended– the Tasty Turkey Bagel. The sandwich comes with a side of either chips, potato salad, or fruit cup. It also comes with a pickle spear (that she forgot to add to my «to go» order). The sandwich was just «okay». Not bad, but nothing to rave about either. The veggies were fresh which was w bonus.
The reason I did not give them a perfect score is because the establishment itself was extremely dirty. The bathrooms were filthy and the sitting area unclean.

I’m from Jersey, so getting a good bagel down here is impossible, but Einsteins is ok.
I’m giving them 5 starts because the service was awesome. John, the general manager took my order and gave me a free drink. What a nice guy.
Service was quick and we had a short conversation. I’d come back just for the service.

Ordered a turkey sausage and cheddar on Asiago came home to a plain bacon and egg bagel. I love paying for things and not getting what I ordered. No receipt in the drive thru, either?! You have one job to do — get my order correct — it’s not even busy. Taking my business elsewhere from now on.

First of all, I only went to this Einstein’s because I had a coupon, and it is right down the street from where I live. I started out in the drive-​thru and ended up just parking and walking in because the car in front of me either had an extremely long and complicated order, there was a communication barrier, or the speaker was not working properly. I am a very patient person, but waiting 10 minutes in a drive-​thru is ridiculous.
I walked inside, and was greeted by one of the staff members who was making a bagel. I was happy to be acknowledged, but then another customer walked in and stood next to me only to have his order taken before mine. I was confused, and just let it slide because I used to work in the fast food industry and things happen.
At least 10 minutes later, I finally received my to-​go order… a toasted bagel with one of the new topping choices. I never received an apology for the wait until she handed me my bagel, to which I asked, «do you have enough employees working?» It is the obvious fix to the problem at hand… you have one employee taking orders, and two employees making the food for the drive-​thru as well as the customers dining inside. Either add another employee, or at the very least, make some serious changes in the customer service training.

Piss poor customer service. Rush hour breakfast time and no gourmet bagels ready 20 min wait for six cheese bagels. Wouldn’t stop here in a rush again especially in the morning time.

The customer service here is horrible! The attitude from the cashier was BEYOND rude and just not necessary! Honey do us all a favor and keep that stankness at home on a Sunday morning! Go to another location for friendly service… and the same old bagels!

They can get quite slow when there are a lot of people. One time I came with my friend, waited for 20 minutes for or chicken sandwich, only to have them come out and tell me there was no chicken. Had to switch to something else and waited another 20 minutes.
Good thing they have us a free meal and a free drink afterwards though so it was okay. Good place to sit and study. However I don’t know why this place smells like it is on fire all the time.

When you absolutely, positively need to have a bagel with something nice on it, you can always count on Einstein Bros to deliver. It’s a known quantity. The bagels are fresh. And the staff at this place has always been friendly to me. (And they’re fast.)
I highly recommend the bagel sandwiches. But I think my favorite thing is a poppy bagel with a salmon schmear. Good stuff. Plus, the free WIFI makes me very happy.
I’ll look forward to my next trip here. Holler if you’re coming with.

Do I have to give a star?
Terrible customer service EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Consistently, they keep me waiting in the drive thru at the speaker & have me waiting to place my order. They hardly ever tell me what my total is before I get to the window, so the 10 minutes I spend waiting in the line, I’m not getting change together or anything. Finally, when I reach the window, I’m never immediately greeted. I can recall several occasions when I sat there waving my $ 20 bill out the window waiting for someone to get the hint that I’m ready to pay. Sometimes, they even leave the window open while they giggle and laugh and ignore me sitting on the other side of the window.
Let it be known that I only return for the convenience of breakfast on Saturday & Sunday mornings before I go to work. If there was another alternative on the same side of the street, trust and believe, I would take full advantage.

This is a chain, so I won’t comment about the quality of the food.
This place has horrendous service and management. On the last 5 times I’ve visited, they have been out of everything bagels. I usually visit before work, which means they are out of a popular type of bagel before 10 am. That is simply unacceptable, and reflects poor management.
The service here leaves a lot to be desired. Waits are long, and you can hear the employees talking about customers behind the counter. Considering the number of people that there are behind the counter, wait times should not be as long as they are.
If you’re in a hurry, don’t order any of their specialty coffee drinks. I once waited over ten minutes, and when it finally arrived, the cup was covered in sticky chocolate syrup.
As much as I love bagels, I think I’ve reached my limit here.

sometimes when u open the door i think you are in a middle of a fire what is going on with all the smoke inside.
get a better air system!!!
