Best coffee on campus! The servers are very nice and the snack selection is also very large. The iced coffee has coffee ice cubes in it which is a huge plus. If you are a Georgia Tech student or even just passing through the area, skip Starbucks, and come here.

Not really a coffee person, but everything else here is great. I love their cookies! Staff is always nice too.

I had my first date here with my Cuddly. We both got coffee and bagels. It was so cute how he meticulously poured and then stirred his cream and sugar. So it holds a big place in my heart. We also got coffee here right before he proposed to me at Atlantic & Ferst(the trolley even came by and it was annoying to have people clapping and screaming Say Yes!) Back to the actual café… The girls that work this place are nice, the iced coffee is the best(frozen cubes of coffee instead of ice = crack to me), and being next to the Chem annex didn’t hurt either. Batdorf and Bronson are the beans used and you can taste the difference. They are my other favorite spot besides Coffee Snobs.

Java World is definitely the best and cheapest coffee destination on Georgia Tech’s campus. Roasting Batdorf and Bronson coffee, there’s definitely a drink that they serve that will take you out of this world! Even though prices went up recently, they’re still far more competitive than the Starbucks, Seattle’s Best, and Coffe Snob’s locations on campus. A regular small coffee is $ 1.40, medium $ 1.70. Be sure to bring your own mug, because a fill up is only $ 1.35(super saver!) Add to your coffee one of many delicious pastries, and you’re good to go! The two qualms I have with the store are 1) the sandwiches don’t taste that great and 2) the staff has recently become a little less friendly(though there still exist the few passionate and exciting students that work there!) Regardless of these issues, Java World is definitely THEPLACE to get coffee on campus! Also, beware: Cash or BuzzCard only!

This coffee cart was the only thing that saved my freshmen year!!! For the few times that I did attend my freshmen chemistry class at 10 in the morning, I would always stop right before lecture began and picked up a late. For the few times that I did attend my freshmen computer class at 4 in the afternoon, I would always stop and pick up a freshly baked gooey chocolate chip cook and latte. This is how I became so addicted to caffeine. But I won’t complain, I passed. But really, this cart of coffee and bagels and cookies saves lives. I am eternally grateful to the owner for sticking with Tech all these years having to listen to us grumble and cry over about how horrible and unfair it all is. Oh, and I will get a picture… wait till August!

Cheap, good coffee with a chat. The coffee is strong but also fresh due to the popularity of this ‘hidden’ spot. Dave is really sound and always has time to talk to anyone worth talking to. Food-wise I’ve only tried the bagels(homemade, slightly strodgy but bang-for-buck good) and the muffins(which make up breakfast usually). I’ve never understood in Starbucks and the rest why a medium with and extra shot of espresso is more expensive than a large … why? Not here, which, on top of all, makes it #1 coffee for me.

Good and reasonably priced coffee can be found in Atlanta, and one of the most peculiar places is in Georgia Tech’s College of Computing building. The Java World Coffee Cart is a lifesaver for weary Tech faculty, employees, and students whether it’s early in the a.m. or for a quick afternoon pick-me-up. Dave(the owner) pours a mean cup of joe, but his expertise goes far beyond that. Espresso, cappuccino, mochas, lattes and more are dispensed quickly and with quality. Food choices include breakfast bagels, croissants, cookies, and even sandwiches for lunch. Luckily in the morning Dave himself is there serving. Chatting with him is one of the highlights of my day. His stories are fantastic. Stop by — you won’t regret it.
