Bryson Square At City Park

For you like Internet or cable… Think again…
When I signed my lease I was told that I could sign with AT&T so did… Fast forward 9 months and my cable and Internet is cut off without warning when I return after the holiday.
I spoke to the girl downstairs and she stated she was aware… Still no notice.
2 weeks later. Here I am with no internet and Broadstar canceled on me again today and Bryson Square doesn’t care…
The apartment itself is fine. Other than the fact after nine months they still can’t seem to figure out why my toilet is running. I would resign if it wasn’t for Broadstar…

I’ve lived in Bryson for over a year and for the most part I really like it. Our apartment is well-​kept and they all feature granite countertops in the kitchen and bathroom. The grounds are clean and most of the staff is nice (there’s a bit of turnover and I’ve encountered a few who aren’t as friendly but the ones who’ve been there for a while like Becky are very nice and helpful!). There’s only one pool (although it’s very nice!) and it can get pretty crowded on the weekend but if you like more of a «party pool» scene it can actually be very fun – many of the residents are young and very friendly. There are also several community grills (some gas, some charcoal) so it’s a great place to have friends over for barbecues.
Location wise, it’s great and easy to get to various parts of the city. You are right next to the Northside beltline and within walking distance of a couple restaurants. Like any place in the city, there are occasional break-​ins but all the units come equipped with an alarm system so that’s always given me piece of mind.
As many reviewers have stated, Broadstar (cable/​internet service) is the worst. Cable and internet are constantly malfunctioning and I pay more for crappier service than I did with AT&T at my last apartment. I am not home all the time so it’s not a deal breaker for me (I did after all choose to resign my lease for another year) but if you work from home a lot, it may be something you want to consider since I am not sure how long their contract is with Broadstar.

DO NOT LIVE HERE. I have only been here a couple months now and it’s a joke. They did not inspect our apartment at all before we moved in. The air conditioner was broken, the ceiling fan in the master bedroom was broken, nails were sticking out of the carpet in multiple places, and there were little black hairs all over the carpet. It was 90 degrees in the apartment on our move in day, which was June 6. 90 DEGREES! They worked on the air conditioner for four days before they finally replaced the whole unit. It was over five days before we had cool air in the apartment.
DO NOT LEASE FROM KERI NORMAN. As soon as we agreed to live here she stopped responding to calls and emails. All she cared about was getting her commission. They also have a contract with Broadstar for cable and Internet and their service is horrible. Before we signed our lease we were told we could use AT&T. I contacted them and found out they don’t provide service to our unit and we’re forced to use Broadstar.
The only good place about this apartment is the location, and it’s nowhere close to being worth it considering all the things wrong with it! DO NOT LIVE HERE.

I would not suggest living here until they no longer have the exclusive contract with Broadstar for Internet and cable. You have NO other option and Broadstar never works Their service went out 5 times in the past month and they won’t credit your account unless you call every time who wants to wait on hold for 45 minutes 5 times every month?) so they have it «documented.» The complex is nice and the staff are great but unfortunately that doesn’t make up for them having this contract with Broadstar. Save yourself a LOT of frustration and pass on this place. If it wasn’t for that I’d easily give the complex 4 or 5 stars.

I’ve lived here for almost 2 years now with my 2 sons and I love it. There is a mix of people who live here all whom seem to be working professionals. The community is located close to many restaurants and grocery and my favorite thing about the property is the proximity to the beltline. The staff is great. They are very friendly and responsive whenever I have a maintenance issue. The only issues I’ve had are with the cable. I don’t like Broadstar and I’ve complained but apparently they have a contract agreement with them. It seems that they are upgrading they service so I expect things are getting better with the cable. They’ve made some really nice upgrades and there is a cyber café with computers and a nice sitting area.

I would deter anyone from living in this complex until they kill their contract with Broadstar. Broadstar is by far the worst cable/​internet service I have ever experienced, and it is the only option you have at Bryson Square. I work from home and experience long periods of internet outages on a monthly basis, which is a huge inconvenience. There have been several times when the internet goes out in the entire complex and nobody at the Bryson Square leasing office or Broadstar seems to have a timeline of when it will be fixed. Besides the frequent internet outages, streaming shows on Netflix/​HBO Go is nearly impossible — it will take you twice as long to watch any show due to the slow internet. The best part is that Broadstar still charges you the price you should be paying for a good, reliable internet service. This is my third year living in Bryson Square and will definitely be my last.

The corporate apartments run by Oakwood are very nice. Security guards, gated community, well kept, with a pool and a gym. All the tenants seem to be young post-​college grads. Pets are allowed. I have only stayed in the furnished 1 and 3 bedroom Oakwood-​run corporate housing on the property, but those are gorgeous and spacious. Large walk in closets, huge bathrooms and kitchens. The 3 bedroom is a two story townhouse. Only downfall with this is it is on the first two floors of a 4 floor building. And, the person above us has their hard floor kitchen right above the master bathroom on our second floor. So the person stomping around upstairs is very loud.

I’ve lived here for a few months and I really like it. The location is fantastic. It’s like a tucked away escape from the city, yet the city and all of its amenities are extremely close. This is especially a great place for 20 somethings since that seems to be 90% of the people living here.
I really enjoy living here and the only issue I can really talk about is the speed bumps at the gate. If your car is somewhat low to the ground, it’s such a hassle to move over. I also drive stick, which sort of makes speed bumps in general really unpleasant. But that issue isn’t something major.

I will begin by saying that I never lived here so I didn’t experience any of the amenities but other reviews have already discussed those aspects. My situation differs because I was told that I was approved for an apartment and only two weeks before I was scheduled to move in, I was denied. I’m not upset about the denial but it was the fact that they had two months to tell me. To add insult to injury, they said that I won’t be getting my deposit for four to six weeks. This was after I was told that I could come pick up the money order or have it mailed on the next business day. One and a half months is a long time to wait if you need that money so you can apply somewhere else.
I called Village Green Management (248−851−9600) which is the company that actually manages the property and they never called me back. I have already found another apartment complex that’s near and has similar amenities and will be able to move in on schedule so feel free to contact me if you have any questions about that place.
TL;DR Rejected and won’t return deposit for 4 – 6 weeks.

Called 20 times, NOONE picked up the phone. Hold for 5 mins and never returned your call. WTF… The WORSE apartment office. GL

This is my second year living here and obviously signed another lease for a reason. Mgmt and maintenance staff are all very friendly. Apartments are nice and well priced for location and size. Security has never been an issue and I’ll probably live here until a buy a condo in two or so years.

It seems like getting a fair and accurate apartment review in any city is very difficult because most of the reviews are either from competing apartment communities or from residents that had something bad happen to them that is out of the control of the community.
So, here is my two cents for Bryson Square.
I lived here for two years and enjoyed my stay here. The apartments are only a few years old and have nice granite in the bathrooms and in the kitchen. They clean the carpets every year as well which is nice.
When I was leaving they were remodeling the gym so I think it’s probably pretty nice now.
The pool in the summer is very spring break like, which i really liked. If you’re older and aren’t into partying you won’t like the pool too much on hot summer days.
The office staff was always pleasant when i first moved in and when I would get packages and such.
The price was a little high which is why I left. It started under $ 1000 for a 1 bedroom when i first moved in, but jumped to almost $ 1100 on my last lease renewal. Probably a little cheaper for smaller one bedrooms and that the rental market is a little softer.
I never had any problems with break-​ins or loud neighbors. This is truly the luck of the draw. Every apartment could have loud neighbors and break-​ins.
TIPS: Try to get a pool view apartment. This is the best view, but there aren’t that many of them. Avoid any apartments that face the highway, train, or garbage. Also you should try to be on floor 2 or above as the AC units can be a tad loud.
Overall I liked it here. I stayed for 2 years so that says something.

Bryson Square @ City Park:
Hmmm, Well 1^st off let me say that I have actually lived here so I speak from experience and I am able to write a well informed and accurate review.
That being said, Bryson Square is located on Peachtree Street & 26^th Street… If you are coming from Buckhead you take a right at the Mellow Mushroom and the street deadends into home sweet home.
Nestled between Midtown & Buckhead, Bryson Square is a gated community that is home to alot of young professionals, college students, and 20 somethings.
The grounds are always well-​groomed, and the apartments themselves are fairly new… and quite nice on the whole. Our community has a great pool-​but get there early to reserve a chair-​this place resembles MTV’s spring break shows during the summers… This is a hot spot for tenants to relax, grill out, and socialize.
The kitchen is great, complete with granite counters, black appliances, and custome cabinets. Our roommate style layout allows for us to both have our own bathroom-​and maintain our privacy. The living room is a decent size, but for the price we’re paying you would think it would be a bit larger…
Our little balcony-​or «juliette» as they are called, is hardly a balcony at all. Its a little step out-​not a balcony that someone wants to spend alot of time out on. Not recommended for those with fears of heights.
Other amenities include computer room, internet café, game room, and exercise facility.
The community is beautifully designed with very upscale appearance and feel. You sort of forget you are living in the city!!!
In regards to safety… You are absolutely safe in this place, provided your car is an army tank (whose wheels can not be removed) and your home is loaded with machine guns and missiles.
There is a safety newsletter that comes to your apartment every week, indicating number of car and apartment break-​ins in the week.
The safety arm on the gate (supposed to prevent tail-​gating) usually is broken, and when it is not broken, the main gate is stuck open, and wont close.
If you want in, you’ll find a way… But I suppose that goes without saying and can be said of all gated communities.
Also, this is a perfect place if you like to wake up in the middle of the night to the sound of a fire alarm blaring throughout the entire building.
Thanks goes to some drunken idiot on most occassions… who decided randomly to break the nose of the sprinkler in your hallway.
The staff is sweet, charming, very polite but not very «with it» in most cases. They are pretty good at listenening to your problems (if they are available).
On a more positive note… On my birthday this year, our AC broke and I stayed home because I was packing to leave for New York City… I called up and explained that it was my birthday, hoping for sympathy and immediate service… within the hour, they had someone out there fixing it! That was nice!!! Because, honestly Chrissy no likey the heat!!! The maintenance guys were funny too!
My only other big complaint are the bugs!!! Ever heard of water bugs??? Its basically like a cock roach, but apprently they are coming in to look for water. Our apt is kept very clean, so there isnt any food for them to hunt down…
After having the pest control out 4 times… i think we’ve finally put an end to them. Which is great, because its never a good thing when you start seeing babies crawling around… Or when you go into the kitchen during the middle of the night, flip the light switch, and see them scatter… Disgusting!
Thank the sweet lord that they are gone. I no longer have to sleep with cotton in my ears!!!
Overall.
My rent is really high for the amenities provided, and it keeps on increasing without adding value to what we’re getting.
Sure, I have a great size room, my own personal bathroom complete with garden tub, & ceiling fan… But if i were to tell you what I paid for half of the rent. You’d probably say I need to seek help.
