Briarcliff Day Care

This day care could be worse, but our experience is not nearly as good as the other Unilocal reviews might lead one to believe. This is for the North Druid Hills location, which suffers from being hard to get to/​from at rush hour. Inside the building it smells a bit like a doctor’s office. The rooms are crowded, with more children per room than other day cares have for the same age group. In December, this ended up (in all likelihood) leading to lots of kids getting sick. The fingerprint system to check children in or out on their Ipad often didn’t work for us, and there was often no employee at or near the desk, so it was a lot harder than it should’ve been to sign our child in or out that day. The teachers seem nice, but in general there seems to be minimal staffing, with staff members sometimes taking lunch breaks as late as 3 pm, shortly before they leave for the day, because there is simply not time to do so earlier in the day.
Also, their phone numbers for the North Druid Hills location apparently don’t have voice mail, or at least I never got voice mail when I called in off hours, which made it more difficult to communicate. (Call them on the weekend to try it?) Hopefully they will have working voice mail by the time you read this, but I am skeptical.
Overall, this center was a bit too crowded and disorganized to get a good review…

I worked at the N Druid hills location as both a teacher and later as a director for over a year and a half. I recently moved and leaving this daycare was definitely bittersweet! As a certified teacher and a strong person for what I believe is right and wrong I would have never worked there if I didn’t believe all those kids were in the best hands. It starts from the owner and her true believe of what a safe loving environment is and even having her own kids attend there to the teachers that are loving and experienced. This was one of my best work experiences and making that place feel like home to all the children and parents was my main goal. I will miss this place very much and hope one day when I have a child I could find a place as great as this! Keep up the great work ladies!

We love love love Briarcliff Daycare center. We love it so much that we drive an hour each way to take our son. Our son started at 3 months and just turned 16 months and we have never had a bad day at the center. The building is clean and bright. The people are awesome, warm, and the greatest. My son learns something new every day and the teacher is always so excited to tell me what new and exciting thing he did that date! He has really blossomed here! We started looking at Daycares when i was 6 months pregnant and everywhere we went i didn’t get the «warm and fuzzies» but we walked in to Briarcliff and that all changed. The tour sold us and we signed up and paid our deposit that day! We have loved every day since. We wouldn’t be driving an hour each way if we didn’t love this place as much as we do!

We have been going here for over 8 months now. Our son has had learned so much and has made great friends. Everyone there is always so happy and the place is always so clean! We have no complaints since we had such bad experience with the last daycare.

This daycare has to locations, one on Belle Isle Cir. and the other one of North Druid Hills Rd which is the one my kids are attending. My twins have been in this daycare for almost 2 months and since we are moving, we will have to change them to another daycare which makes us feel very sad. We had a horrible experience at another school in the area, so we visited some schools/​daycare in the area and this was the one that we liked the most. This is not the cheapest nor the more expensive and everything is clean and new since they opened this location recently, so you won’t see nasty carpets in their classrooms. My kids are in the 3-​years old class and their teacher Miss Manjeline is very nice and sweet, also, the Director and her assistant are nice, too. Actually, all the staff who works there are nice people, they always receive me with a smile.
One of my kids was fully potty trained when they started school but the other one was still having accidents, actually the bad experience we had at the other school was related to his toilet accidents, which also caused that he didn’t want to use the potty outside our home, but here at Briarcliff Daycare he had just a couple of accidents and that’s all, he gained confidence and also, he is now using the potty everywhere. I can’t say he is 100% potty trained, but with their teacher’s help and patience I can say now we are in the right track and I am very thankful for that.
This daycare is also regulated by Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning, which is excellent and they are monitoring the schools frequently.
This is a great pleace for our kids to learn and play while we are working and I fully recommend it.
