I came here to get some paint because OPI did a collaboration w Ace Hardware. Hmm it started off well. I was personally and warmly greeted by every member of the staff I encountered which is pretty rare nowadays but it was all an insincere front :[ Like there was one lady actually checking out people, two guys just standing around shooting the shit pretending to work, and one idiot bumblefuck too proud to ask for direction so needlessly wasting people’s time trying to be «helpful» I picked out the paint i wanted and then waited and waited He said there were issues with the computer that theyd had before and he was unable to mix the paint with the appropriate base. He said he was calling customer service or something? I wander the store browsing. I waited a bit more. I asked if he was doing something??? Another 15 min. After this point i really ran out patience because he was literally just wasting my time bc I was the one brainstorming possible solutions or asking if it would be available at another location. As a last resort I asked for a sample. This was too much for him. He seemed annoyed that I dare question his bum time wasting ways. IMABOUTTOKILLSOMEBODYATTHISPOINT. I had to leave. He was so fucking inadequate at his job. I am so pissed I wasted like an hour. I’ll try Home Depot. Thanks…

The customer service here is top-notch. This is my first place to go to learn about what I need to purchase. Today, it was grout. I am very grateful to the friendly staff of this particular hardware store.

This Ace is convenient, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Just last week, I went to Home Depot to find a mosquito plant. I asked in the garden department and was told by two employees that I could look in three different places — to see whether HD even had them. I later called Ace and spoke to the cashier, who told me they had the plants. She helped me pick out a couple of good plants. And I was out of there in a few minutes.

I live a couple minutes away and am at the center a couple times a week, so I give it two stars for being convenient. However, it seems to have had a change in management or ownership in the last 3 – 4 years and has gone way downhill. The comments about the cashier being surly are absolutely correct. She does her job, which is good, but that is it. In the last few years, they’ve had what appears to be kids doing their community service sentences there, to a collection of guys who just stand around. They will ask you if you need help, and they will help, but they just don’t have the apparent level of competence you’d expect. There is something that is just missing with this place. But, it is right there by the Publix so if I know they have when I need, like a propane exchange, I’ll keep going.

We experienced by far the worst customer service of almost any retailer at this Ace location. We rented a steam cleaner from this location to use at our house and all of the components weren’t given to us, rendering the cleaner useless. By the time we were ready to use and found out we were missing a piece the store was closed and couldn’t go back to get the missing piece. When calling the store to ask for an extra day with the cleaner because we weren’t given every piece that came with the cleaning unit, the manager actually laughed and said they’re not in the business of giving things away for free and that we should have checked to make sure the store clerk gave us everything before we went home. The quote was«I’m sure this isn’t the first time you’ve made a mistake in your life.» Absolutely ridiculous. This is my first one star review I’ve ever given.

I have also been going to this Ace for years and I completely agree that this is a hardware store full of employees wanting to help you find exactly what you are looking for. As for the cashier, it took me several visits to realize what a kind, hard working woman she is(if not somewhat reserved.) I love this Ace!

the«permanent» cashier here is the worst. i have seen personally experienced her surly unfriendly attitude a number of times. i can’t believe they haven’t fired her. not a tough job, but she is horrible. her attitude is worse than a bitter TSA agent. and it s not just to me, it is to everyone. the extra distance and big-store issues ad the HD and Lowes are worth it compared to this painful experience. do yourself and others a favor by going to another hardware store.
