Michaels Upholstery

DO NOT USE MICHAEL FOR ANY OF YOUR REUPHOLSTERY WORK. In February, 2015, after sending pictures to Michael of my loveseat/​recliner, he assured me that he could and would do the work. I stopped by his shop, purchased and paid for my new fabric. He assured me that it would be a couple of months before he would stop by my home to pick-​up. Did not hear for from him in April, 2015 (2 months passed), so I called and he said it would be a couple of more months. Needless to say it was longer than that — it was June, 2015 before he picked it up and again assured me that he would have it back to me within a couple of months. I was way to patient and understanding with this guy. After a lot of the same treatment by Michael, my husband picked it up yesterday, October 14, 2015. We had had enough. My husband called Michael on Tuesday, October 13^th to let him know that he would be by to pick it up. The condition of my loveseat/​recliner was nothing like when he got it. It was taken apart and nothing done to it. He didn’t even bother to put it back together. Let me also mention that he picked it up in a U-​Haul truck (which is part of this business) and he left it in the U-​Haul from the time he picked it up until my husband went to get it (June-​October). Sitting in this U-​Haul through the summer heat and who knows what else. His excuse for this was that it smelled of «cat piss» (his exact words). Now he is adding insult to injury. It wasn’t like that when he got it. I hope others read this review and re-​consider before letting Michael do any re-​upholstery work for them.

I would never drop off a u haul truck at this place. The guy that I dropped off the truck with. Was very unprofessional. He said they were closed. Even though the sign on the door said open and website. After all that. They over charged me and said that I dropped off the truck late. It as a big hassle getting my money back.

These guys are awesome! Efficient, friendly and went out of their way to help us with our travel trailer. I’ve rented from U-​Haul dozens of times over the years and I can honestly say this is the best customer service experience I have ever had with a U-​Haul location. I would say 6 stars but Unilocal won’t let me! Thanks again!

Well I came in to drop off a truck and was greeted in a most friendly manner. The entire transaction was pleasant — very pleasant and it was like dealing with a friend you had known for a long time. Then a week later I had to drop off another truck and she remembered me and my name and well that is just top shelf. Thanks

Exceptional Service. Stephanie traveled to another town to obtain the trailer I needed for my last move! She and her company were very, very accomodating when I made changes to the rental agreement to meet the changing needs of my family and trip plans. I HIGHLY recommend Michael’s for your truck and trailer rental needs!

Stephanie was amazing in assisting me with a truck rental with tow dolly to tow our broken down vehicle this past Independence Day Weekend. She was super helpful and made sure that I knew how to secure the vehicle properly. The equipment was in great shape and the customer service would be hard to beat. We were almost done with the transaction when she realized from a comment I had made that I was traveling with two kids, she made sure I had the right truck to seat them and not the two-​bucket seater that she had originally reserved for me. The change was made with no-​fuss at all.
During our family crisis, Stephanie, with her sunny smile, was a godsend. It’s a person like her that truly made our ordeal bearable. Thank you!
In hindsight, I am kinda glad the other two U-​haul places that came up first on my Google search didn’t have the equipment I needed.

Not only are they fairest price in town, they have great customer service. Always going the extra mile to help accommodate the wary mover. From the beginning to the end I was offered every kindness. Don’t bother shopping around all over. Stephanie the owner will take very good care of you at an extremely competitive price.

I was very impressed with the customer service I received from the staff at Michael’s Upholstery. They were very organized and extremely knowledgeable. The equipment was in very good condition and the staff was more than capable to provide the necessary training to ensure safe utilization. I would recommend them to anybody and will definitely make them my first choice in the future.

The best U-​Haul place around. Stephanie is warm, helpful, funny and beautiful to boot! I tell everyone looking either to rent a U-​Haul or have something re-​upholstered that Michaels is THE place to go thank you Michaels for the continual great service and low prices.

This uhaul location is the only one I’ll use! Its really easy to get to. The customer service is fabulous. Stephanie really goes above and beyond for her customers. When I moved from atascadero to the bay area I was happy to have her help me. With all her help and uhaul it really made my move much easier. Less stress on me:) I will always recommend them to everyone.

My boyfriend and I were moving from Santa Margarita to Atascadero, we had planned on moving over 3 weekends and not renting a truck. Due to some unforeseen issues with our current location we needed to rent a truck and moving everything in 1 day. Michaels Upholstery/​Uhaul came up as the closest location. I called down and spoke with Michael he had the truck we needed but it was reserved for the following morning at 10am. We said well take it, this was 30 minutes before he was closing on a Saturday night. We got there and he was checking in 2 other trucks but welcomed us and was very polite. We got the truck and did our moving when we returned it 45 minutes earlier then when he needed it he thanked us by giving us a discount. Great costumer service and overall a very friendly guy. I will always recommend Michaels for anyone whose moving in the area now.

We were going to purchase new patio furniture then were told Michael could put new webbing on it. He fixed 4 chairs and 2 chaise lounges and they look like new.
This saved us over a thousand dollars.
