The facial I received was very thorough and I loved the natural products that she used. My skin felt great when I left. The room was tightly packed though and felt cramped. There wasn’t a push for you to buy products at the end that you normally get. I will go back for another facial here.

Awesome place! Katerina did hi & lo lights, cut and blow out for me. Great color choice and technique. Definitely recommend her.

They were really friendly and nice but the Brazilian waxing was the most painful and slow I’ve ever had and there were a lot of hairs left behind.

The salon is super cute and I just love how natural my tan looks. The service is great, and the staff is wonderful. Joanna did my spray tan she is so friendly. I love how she cares about the color tan I want and will go out of her way to make sure I’m happy with the results. She made me feel so comfortable and did exactly what I wanted. None of the solution they use got on my clothes or my sheets for that matter and it looks so natural! I feel a lot better about wearing less makeup on my face actually because I look so healthy and clean. The staff make you feel very comfortable and are also very thorough — your tan will be perfect! I loved it so much I went back two weeks later and got another one!

The Face & Body Shop helped me out big time. I am horrendous at doing my own make-​up, and am tired of attending weddings while not really looking fully put together. I saw on their website that they have a day make-​up application and it fit my budget, so I quickly made an appointment. The owner, Evie, took care of me. She was very sweet and after about 40 minutes I was done and had the best make-​up of my life (no exaggeration). The store is cute and clean, and I will be back.

I get my color done by Anastasia there and she is great! I used to waste my time and money at a salon in SOHO and what Anastasia does here in this salon is so much better! She has taken me from dark to light and back to dark again and my hair remains healthy and strong!

Happily followed Anastasia to The Face & Body Shop. Having never stepped in the salon before, I was looking forward to seeing what the shop was like. The salon was immaculate & peaceful. The staff was professional & friendly. This salon is nothing short of a quaint gem! Anastasia, as usual, was her amazing self. All I have to do is sit in the chair and she does what she does. Hands down the most creative and professional stylist. Anastasia is prompt, communicates step by step & follows up to make sure I am content. Looks like a win win. I can’t wait to try some of the other services. Highly recommended!!! Go get your color on!

I have been coming monthly to Cleo for my facial and microdermabrasion for about five years. She is very knowledgeable and most importantly «passionate» about skincare. Whether you deserve or need a day of pampering, check out The Face & Body Shop for all your needs: Facial, Micro, Massage, Electrolysis, nails and hair… excellent, simply excellent!

I have been coming to the Face and Body Shop to get facials from Cleo for the last 3 years and have had nothing but great experiences there! Cleo really knows what she is doing and I really trust her with my skin. The prices are fair for the services they are providing and I LOVE the Eminence skincare line that they use and carry – everything is made from natural products and smells amazing! I typically get a facial at least 2x/​year when the seasons change and always feel a huge difference in my skin afterwards. The same facial in Manhattan would probably cost twice as much and not yield the same results! I will also always remember that I tried to get 2 facials the month before my wedding and Cleo told me not to come back because I didn’t need it – other places would have told me to come back just so they could milk my money!
Cleo and the owner Eve are really lovely. I have not had other services there but I am sure they are all great!

I followed Kat, my hairstylist, to The Face & Body Shop. I haven’t used their spa services yet, but because Kat is there I’m giving it 5 stars. Kat gives great hair cuts and color. She always listens to what I want, but I also give her artistic license to do what she thinks is best, and I’m never disappointed. And to top it off, she is a super nice!

Fabulous! Being an Esthetician myself I am naturally critical of others who are in the same line of work. After searching for the best spa in Astoria, The Face and Body Shop stood out for me as being very professional.
I booked a Facial and Spa Manicure giving them very short notice (On a Saturday too, which is unheard of. my bad) They were very accommodating. When I walked in I was greeted by Katerina. She was so joyful and welcoming. The entire staff are all smiles. My manicure was done by Dora who was meticulous in every step. She had a lovely caring energy about her.
My facial was done by Cleo. She has magic hands. Not only did she give me a top notch customized facial but she also massaged the back of my neck and shoulders where I was carrying a lot of tension and soreness. Cleo addressed what I wanted in my facial as well as informed me of what else I could add as she noticed my skin was dehydrated. She doesnt just do the same old treatment on everyone she actually cares, listens to you and offers expert advice too. I left there looking radiant.
The atmosphere is unlike any spa I’ve been to. The staff are genuinely happy to be there, and genuinely care about their clients. Its like a little family and for the time I was there I felt like I was adopted into it, and that’s a nice feeling in a world such as this :)
I couldn’t leave without speaking to the owner, Evie. Such a warm person, she knows the esthetics domain very well. My hat goes off to her for creating such a great place. I know (from 17 years experience) that (too) many spa owners are clueless and have no background or knowledge of esthetics at all. You can see the difference with Evie who has dedicated her life to working as an Esthetician in every possible branch and facet.
If you’re seeking a great place to de-​stress in a very clean, calming environment where you’ll receive the best care, look no further.

I went to face and body shop after a bad haircut that left me looking like a mushroom. Eleni fixed that mess and gave me the best blow out. I couldnt believe it was my hair! Amazing! I treated myself to a facial by Cleo which was incredible as well. The organic products smelled so fresh it took my mind off of the extractions. The front desk is sweet as can be. The prices are so reasonable. After spending ridiculous amounts in manhattan for Hal the quality and service– this was a fantastic experience all around and I highly recommend giving them a chance!

I had a Groupon for this place, which is only a few blocks from my apartment– but in the opposite direction so I had no idea it was there. I’m thrilled with the quality of my facial. They use amazing Eminence Organics products (which I have long been a fan of!) and Cleo did a great job on my facial. She gives a nice back rub as part of the facial which was nice after all the extractions. The front desk girl is super sweet, accommodating and knowledgeable as well! I’m so excited to go back for my next treatment! I would have never known about this place if it weren’t for the Groupon! YAY!

I never had a Tahitian body scrub, and they recently offered a groupon for the treatment for half off so I figured I’d try it. I was a little skeptical as the outside definitely does not portray a spa setting and I don’t think the inside is very «relaxing». When you enter the spa there are two hair salon chairs and one bench that fits about four people, all by the windows that are street level where you can see out and people can see in… again, not much of a spa setting compared to others I’ve been to.
So, I go into this very small room for my Tahitian body scrub and was given disposable undies and a shower cap. The scrub was good but I could have probably done it at home myself. She didn’t scrub my feet, which I would have liked, and then I washed everything off in the shower. I laid back down on the table and was rubbed with lotion, which was amazing!
The technician was very accommodating and asked if I was ok several times as age knew it was my first body scrub and to my surprise got a mini head massage after she lotioned me up. The whole treatment was phenomenal but I probably wouldn’t do it again, I’d much rather get a massage!

I’ve been here twice — once for a bikini wax, once for electrolysis.
The bikini wax was «suffice» but considering the beauty of the outside shop and upscale interior, I did not expect the waxing room to be small, with scuffed, stained walls, a wax pot that had gunk all over it, double dipping, etc. Kinda grossed me out. Totally overpriced as well.
I also received electrolysis on a different occasion. The electrologist basically plucked my hairs because she got impatient and instead of going slowly, she used the maximum setting so I ended up with terrifying blisters and bloody scabs. I may have been a difficult case but I felt as though she should have known better than to send me home without an ice pack, instructions, medicated cream, etc at very least.

I have been going to The Face & Body Shop for about 5 years. I live in Manhattan and have had other facials elsewhere. Cleo by far gives the best facial around. The prices are very reasonable for what you receive (especially coming from the city where facials are twice the price and not nearly as good). She is gentle even while extracting everything stuck in your face (yuk!). All of the staff is friendly and accommodating!

The face and body shop has been in business since 1991 for a reason: the atmosphere is warm and inviting upon walking in, and the staff are just as friendly and responsive to your individual needs.
It was my first time getting a bikini wax and both the receptionist and Cleo were very understanding and helpful. Cleo is truly a professional and I would recommend her anytime.
I’m really glad I found this place through Unilocal.I was so nervous about the whole thing, but afterwards I am confident in the face and body shop’s services.

Great little spa in the Astoria area. It is extremely clean and they do a professional job for reasonable prices. The entire staff is welcoming and fun.
I go for monthly waxes by Cleo. She’s wonderful and makes a painfully awkward situation comfortable and funny. She also gives topnotch facials.
Penny is the best for blowouts and she is really down to earth and awesome to talk to.
