Blossom In Astoria

May did great eyelash extensions on me and was very patient and kind to my non stop eye blinking lol will definitely recommend this service and will def be back ! My only issue was that they made me pay for those white sticker things that go under your eye to tape down the bottom lashes throughout the procedure. Like I’m not cheap so whatever but for almost $ 100 dollars for the lash extensions isn’t that supposed to be included. All the other places mu friends and family have gone to said that it’s included.
She started out with what looked like scotch tape to tape down my lashes… ummm then when it didn’t work she advised I get the white things buttttt, it’s 5 dolla mo! What am I supposed to say no…

This is absolutely the best nail salon in Astoria. I moved to Astoria in April and have tried pretty much all the nail salons in the area and Blossom beats them all. I’ve had a few services by different people and they all do an outstanding job. The owner is sweet and accommodating and keeps everyone’s appointments timely. It’s also very clean. Blossom has a customer for life in me!

I LOVE BLOSSOM! Every time I come here, all I can think is… This is sooo worth it! I get a thorough pedicure EVERY TIME. Just last week, I went to a salon on the UWS and paid double what Blossom charges, and I was so disappointed– they did a terrible job.
BLOSSOM never fails! I love it– and the prices are so reasonable. Priya did my pedicure today as well as a 10 minute foot massage– and SHE WAS GREAT!!!
I will always come back here, even if I moved out of the neighborhood.

My go-​to nail salon. Great service, prompt & polite. Sally runs a tight ship-​this place is busy & all the staff keep up and are nice.
My favorite tech is Frieda :) but all are great. I have also had massages & facials here. Facials are nothing out of the ordinary, so its good for the price. Massages are great– very relaxing. I had my eyebrows threaded once, and i wasn’t crazy about the shape.
Ill keep coming back– as long as prices stay affordable & they continue to use the sterile tools packs.

I have to say this business is very quick and effective with customer service.
I was checked in right after i walked inside .
The nail salon attendant did exactly what I asked and that is important skill in this place.
There is still yet to explore so I will return again.

I went there with few of my friends. I have to said I was very happy with the customer service. I had a problem with how the first manicurist did my nails. I didn’t realized until way after I got home that they weren’t what I expected, how ever upon speaking to the owner Sally she worked with my schedule and I went in to get them complete re-​done by Hen. Hen did an amazing job and I absolutely love my nails.

Eliza did a good job with my pedicure. I really can’t complain, she asked questions when she wasn’t sure. My mother is getting her nails done by Han so I know she will love her nails.

They do beautiful work and are open at later hours which is great.
Until you realize they are recycling flip flops. I’m disgusted and will probably never go back. This is like a fungus waiting to happen. Going home to dip my feet in bleach.

Sally, the day I need to steal a pair of dollar flip flops that are too small for me is the day I need to stay home. I have been to your place several times and always had a good experience before today. I have also always brought my own shoes.
It is unsanitary to recycle flip flops. Period. You don’t know what people have on their feet, and I don’t know if you clean the shoes before you hand them off to someone else.
Just because lots of people do something doesn’t make it correct or right, and what you’re doing in there with the shoes is disgusting.

Awesome place right by the train! I recommend making an appointment but I’ve walked-​in and been seen right away too.
I’ve had my eyebrows, acrylics, and gel manicures done here and have always left satisfied!

well time has passed since my manicure and pedicure. pedicure chipped in 24 hours (again). gel manicure chipped in 48 hours.
tips for sad sally: smile and be nice and polite to your customers, they pay your bills. don’t talk to us like we are stupid children begging you a favor.
there are far better salons in astoria than to come to this place.

If you want to get infection and pain in your toe and toes do go here!
I came in for mani and pedi I had ingrown, they had no idea how to cut it, I went home and next day I was limping from pain. I went back in they dug in more with their unprofessional service making it worse. My nail is throbbing and I can not walk properly from pain. I will see how this resolves if I have to go see a doctor or not but this is gross place with no experience!!! I am so upset I came there, now i suffer immensely.

Blossom is a solid nail salon in Astoria. It’s a clean, quiet environment with friendly staff. The pedicure massage chair is my favorite! I recommend making an appointment if you can, but they also take walk-​ins.
I’ve also been to Blossom for a couples massage which was very nice and much more affordable than most NYC spas– my husband loved it too!

I called after my HORRIBLE experienced he next day after noticed silk wrap left on multiple nails and was hoping to resolve my issues or at least get a silk wrap removal if not a basic mani which I had also paid for and not received, but in the very least get the wrap on my nails
Apparently the manager who answered the phone, was the chick standing at the front desk when I had gone there the day before. I told her about my experience and she said «yes I was here when that happened. Why didn’t you show it to me instead of leaving and writing a bad review?»
And I said «are you the manager?»
And she said yes, so I asked why she didn’t come over to see what issue I was having if she was right there and heard me ask him multiple times to make my nails the same length and shape. She basically had nothing to say so I told her I could see where this conversation was heading and hung up.
I wanted to like this place. But the HORRIBLE service, the fact that a man was so rude and lazy while his manager was 4ft away, being a manager and not addressing the issue directly, and not at LEAST agreeing to taking off the silk wrap after paying $ 14 with no manicure or even your prior one removed???
Disgusting. This woman and establishment is a joke.

My first experience here was not a good one. I made an appointment for a gel manicure after this place was recommended by two different friends.
I will never come back again. The big mistake was letting her cut my cuticles (I know you’re not supposed to but I always do any way because it looks nice and it’s never gone wrong before). I noticed her cut too close to the skin on my thumb and I flinched, which she apologized for. I was annoyed but let her continue.
But I somehow didn’t realize she hurt my pinky until I got home. I noticed that it was very red around that finger and when I touched it I realized I was bleeding a little! I’m sorry, there is no way that she stared at my nails for 30 minutes without realizing I was bleeding. Did she think that because I didn’t feel it when it happened I wouldn’t eventually realize that she cut me?
I’m disgusted and frustrated and regretting spending any money on this manicure. I will certainly never come back.

Wow, I think this is my new go-​to spot. I made an appointment the day before and asked about a package deal because I had often passed by and they have deals advertised all the time. I haven’t gone until now because I only do my nails professionally for special occasions. They are a luxury for me. I was going to take my chances at a local spot by my house, but I wanted to give this place a shot because I needed my nails to come out nice and not «sub-​par». What a GREAT idea it was. I am more then satisfied with the results.
I walked up the stairs, and was immediately greeted. My coat was taken for me to hang up and when I took my shoes off, the lady helped me put them aside. Let me be specific, her name is Judy. She took care of my manicure, pedicure, and 1 hour massage — what can this lady NOT do?! Judy was professional though all of it and was very courteous. She worked quick but took her time with details (like for my French manicure she made sure it looked even!) It has been so long since I’ve gone to a salon and worked with someone who CARED! I will definitely ask for her again when I go back. I often experience people who look at me like I make a big fuss when I am pointing out things that matter to me so this was huge.
As I was getting my nails done, i was observing other people in the salon. Some came in for just a manicure, another for just a pedicure and a 10 minute massage, but overall the women who come seem to be regulars. There was even a lady who was leaving shortly after i came in and said that her nails were for her wedding! If she could trust them with her nails for her big day, then they definitely do great work!
So the massage was excellent too. I have not been able to enjoy and relax after a massage in so long. I desperately needed one since I think I had hurt my back earlier in the week. They use quality and fragrant oil for the massage. They even mix in a bit of hot stone for the massage.
I will absolutely come back even if I don’t do a package. With their prices, this can easily become addicting. I can see why some women get their nails done all the time. They also have this «fit wrap» that I may try in the future.
Tips:
1. This place accepts credit cards but Tip is cash-​only. There are banks on the same block if you need (TD, Chase, and Citi).
2. If you drive, they are willing to help you refill the meter if time runs out (if you park on the same block).
3. You can bring in your own products if you do not want to use theirs.
I would definitely recommend this place. Everyone working there seemed so professional. These ladies work hard so you can feel beautiful and proud of their work. I would suggest tipping well if you are happy with the results. :)

So I went back to Blossom in Astoria. The owner contacted me abt my last review and made an appointment for me yesterday evening. We got there early-​ish like 6pm and the place was packed by 8.
My friend has extremely sensitive skin and wanted to unwind with a facial. Her tech didn’t speak English too well but she took her time was gentle and did a great job. My friend told me she woke up with skin feeling smooth and looking very refreshed.
As for me, I loved my foot massage! I had the chair going and my music in and was soooooo relaxed. Lisa was super sweet too. They’ve made believer out of me. Might not do gel anymore but my friend and I will definitely be going back.

I came today to Blossom for a Hot Fit Body Wrap, Wow! It was incredible, it’s an hour long and I felt great afterwards. It’s like a cleansing for the body of toxins, which is good — I needed that!
Definitely would recommend this treatment to woman who want to feel better & lighter. I felt like I lost 10 pounds in water weight!!!
Am going back soon for another one!
Came in today for a facial & another fit body wrap — came out feeling GREAT!!!
I am definitely coming back!!! The service & products are really good!

Blossom is my go-​to nail salon in the area. Whenever I go anywhere else (which I do sometimes for convenience), I end up kicking myself because the end product is never as good as at Blossom!
I’ve come here to do everything from facials to massages to waxing, but the thing that really stands out here are the manis and pedis. I highly recommend the spa pedicures — I just had the Vitamin E spa pedicure ($ 30) by Rosa and it was the most relaxing/​AH-​MAZING experience EVER! The 10 minute foot and calf massage = OH MY GOD. My calves/​feet have never felt so soft!
Even when doing a normal mani/​pedi, when you’re at the drying station they use a HOT ROCK to give you a quick massage afterwards. FOR FREE.
My manis/​pedis last SO MUCH LONGER from here than anyone else! And the polish is always even! I’m a huge fan of Blossom — when I have the time I opt for the package deals (usually the 30 min massage and mani/​pedi for $ 49), and it’s always a relaxing pamper me time!
