Horrible. Bought a ticket and was told the wait would be about 10 – 20. We are now on minute 45 with no shuttle in sight. Def spring for the taxi.

Once again this month June 2016 #supershuttlewin was on time and awesome on my usual 4 am pick up to JFK. The driver was driving so carefully, almost put you to sleep probably due to complains from others about bumps in road. Hey tourists get over that it is NYC. The map tracker now allows you to see pick ups before and after you which is so cool, thanks for the website upgrade that feature ROCKS! #supershuttlewin Keeps getting better for service to airport. Trackable driver great communication. Easy to set up pick up on app.
Airport to destination can vary depends on traffic, if you need to move it move it into city, take Air train to Jamaica station and grab the LIRR, otherwise you could wait an hr or two at JFK.

I just took Super Shuttle from mid-​town to JFK. The pick up was 45 minutes late, and that was at 3:45. So rush hour was starting. I was supposed to get to the airport at 4:30. Between the time he picked me up and 4:45, he picked up two more people. The poor driver was arguing with dispatch, trying to get them to send out another van for the last two pickups, but they wouldn’t. So we started out for the airport on a weekday, 15 minutes after I was supposed to arrive. The driver did his best, taking surface streets through Brooklyn, all the way to the airport, saving us an hour. However, I got to the airport 15 minutes before my flight was taking off, so I missed my flight and had to spend $ 200 for a hotel room. There were people in the van trying to make their flights to Europe!
Absolutely worst airport experience ever. NEVER take Super Shuttle. I never will.

1. Checked in online, once baggage collected.
2. Driver never showed (I waited close to 1-​HR.
3. Called customer service and was put on hold for 35 minutes. Then the call was dropped. No call back.
4. After the no show and no update as to the location of my van, I had to take semi-​costly taxi to my hotel.
5. Called customer service for the 3^rd time. Agent was very rude and tried to cut me off when I explained my frustration. Never apologized for the poor service or the fact that I sat at an airport for an hour.
6. I asked for refund and he reluctantly sent cancellation. He did not any note he would refund. Then hung up on me abruptly.
7. This is the 2^nd time, Supershuttle was a no show. Their quality of service has dropped exponentially and I’m sorry to say that after using this service since 1999, I will no longer be a customer.

Friendly and helpful. I had a hotel change after booking and they were very friendly and helpful when making the changes to my reservation. Pickup was on time, fast and efficient. Driver was very friendly and helpful. I would definately book with Super Shuttle again.

For me the most dreaded part of every trip is the one from my home to the airport. There is always traffic. I’m worried about making my flight, struggling with luggage, and I don’t want to pay for a cab.
Super Shuttle took all the stress and effort out of this part of the journey.
It was so pleasant, reasonable and effortless. The driver was great. I arrived in plenty of time.
I will use it every time I travel !

Waited 50 minutes for super shuttle to arrive when the agent at the counter named R. Jnocharles told me 20 – 25 minutes and conveniently gave herself an «outstanding» review when confirming my reservation. They put me on one shuttle and when I was asking how long it will take to get to New York because they were so late and I have a meeting, the driver kicked me out of the car and moved me to another shuttle and said the other driver will take me without any explanation. Just plain rude. Never again.

Driver bobbed & weaved thru New York City traffic like a true professional.
Online check in after arriving via Laguardia kept me updated as well as check in with port authority.

I scheduled a trip from JFK to a hotel @ W 39^th & 8^th Ave. and prepaid online. Not only did the trip take 3 hours on a Sunday afternoon, the driver dropped me off at W 25^th & 7^th Ave. and said «the hotel is right down the middle of this road»…and that will be $ 22…(first saying I didn’t pay, then saying I didn’t tip.) The company promised a phone call to respond to my concerns within 48 hours, but never called me back. Not worth the trouble even if it were free!!!

We ordered the shuttle way ahead of time and we had to wait for over an HOUR after our flight arrived for the van. The driver was great, he weaved in and out of traffic to try to get us to our destination quickly. We left Newark at 5:30, so naturally we hit rush hour traffic. Perhaps traffic would not have been so bad if the van arrived on time. Next time I’ll Über it.
Not worth the cost for such poor service.

Terrible! I was scheduled between 1.05 and 1.20pm. They were late and I got an automated call that they now arrived, 10 mins later than the time window. It took me less than a minute to carry my heavy suitcase down 3 stairs. When I came down, the shuttle wasn’t there, so I waited a while until I decided to call them. When I called them they said that I had no showed. What a load of crap! They didn’t even allow me to go downstairs. And why didn’t the driver care to call himself rather than sending an automated call?. How can he assume it is a no show when he hasn’t even tried to find out if I am on my way down the stairs? Not anywhere in the t&c’s does it say that you have to wait outside, it just says to be ready to go when they call. And when I called about 5 minutes later he refused to come back.
I now got the reply from Courtney below and I still think this is complete bullshit! The FAQ have now conveniently changed! I was completely ready to leave, and that’s all what it asked me for on the confirmation. When booking the service it asked me if I preferred getting a text message or a call from the driver when the van arrives. What’s the point of either if they want you to wait outside anyway??? That makes no sense. I chose to get a phone call from the driver, just like we got last time, when the driver was NICE and waited that one minute it took for us to come downstairs. If I would have got that phone call, this whole situation would have been avoided. What a complete joke of a company not to wait a minute for someone to come down, or make sure that the customer gets what they pay for. I am a travel agent and we sell this vendor, well not anymore! I don’t recommend this joke of a shuttle company to any of my customers, and they listen to me, because I care about my customers!

I tried to be a «cheap ass» and decided to take Super Shuttle into the city, big big mistake.
My plane landed at 1025pm, I checked into Super Shuttle online, I made my way to the lack of «welcome center.» I was ordered to sit down and my name would be called. I waited at least 30 minutes and I was called and directly to follow the driver outside. I was loaded into the van, we sat there for at least another 20 minutes and more people border, we drove to another terminal and then picked up yet another person. Just when I thought we were finally leaving the airport we went back around and picked up two more people. At this point the van was completely overfilled. There were more people than seat belts. Two people were so pissed, they demanded to get out.
Well over an hour and a half later, we were finally on the road, the van had a low tires pressure warning light on, something you don’t want to see when your in a van full of people speeding down he highway.
I feel their NYC operation is poorly run, they are making people wait long times, not enough vans, overfilling them and not maintaining them properly.

Considering a super shuttle you have to take into account that it’s a van shuttle system where there are multiple pick up and drop off locations so it will take TIME, and especially in a busy city near NYC, it will definitely take awhile from pick up and drop off. I’ve used super shuttle in another city and I find the app is very easy and convenient to use, so I booked a shuttle pick the same day as my pick up, and I didn’t have any problem. I booked on the app before I departed the airport in Houston at 8 AM and I had my pick up at LGA at 1:30 PM. Once you arrive in the baggage claim look for the Welcome Center and that’s where you can wait for the attendants to call your name and then you get on the shuttle. I was the 5^th passenger to get on, and then we circled the airport one more time to pick up the last set of passengers before heading to Manhattan. It was a packed van, but that’s normal. I think I was the only one booked my reservation on the app because the others signed up through their hotel or at the airport, which looks like it’s a bit of a longer hassle kind of a process. Not sure what I did right, but I was the first stop from the airport and it was a breeze!
This is an affordable alternative to taking a cab or even Über IF you’re open to carpooling and have some time to spare.
But I do find the drivers are bit wreck less in their driving, not worried about the bumps and dips on the streets.

Never, ever again. So unprofessional. 45+ minutes late for an airport pickup. Untrackable driver. Unprofessional driver who had to pick up his GPS from his «partner» halfway through trip to airport. Good luck if you book them. Hopefully, they’ll show up in time and you don’t have a nerve wracking drive to the airport.
The AirTrain is way more reliable.

Worst service ever, so I make a reservation for pick up from jfk, when I get to the pick up station at 12:30am to confirm they tell me a hour, so I waited a hour goes by I call them back now they tell me there won’t be a jfk pick up till 3:45am!!!
When I stated I was told a hour for pick up the dispatch person stated they said «a hour or more» which wasn’t the case.
Never again in life, I wish I could give zero stars

Reading through other reviews, I realize how lucky I’ve been using this service (and the fact that MOST of the time, I get a ride from my sister to and from the airport!!) My Easter Sunday afternoon trip from LI to LaGuardia was problem free thanks to a GREAT driver, Larry in van #882.
As soon as I knew I wouldn’t be hitching a ride with my sister, I made the reservation online (AWWWWWWESOME $ 2 discount from AAA, but I guess every bit helps…) and we were all set for a 3:30 pick up (for a 7pm flight, no last minute nail-​biting here!!). He texted me that he’d be a bit late, which I halfway expected on this end of holiday weekend. I thought the van would be crammed with people, but I had my own personal ride w/​Larry (aka Morgan Freeman’s brother from another mother!!) and I channeled a «kinder/​gentler» Miss Daisy! He zipped in an out of potential traffic snares, paying close attention to the road AND his trusty GPS, skipping the «regular» route when he saw there would be traffic backups. In spite of pretty heavy traffic, we made record time to the airport, and I was so happy with my awesome ride, I gave Larry an additional tip (already had prepaid one online, not sure if that’s the best idea, esp. if you wind up with a situation more common in most of these reviews…)
Not bad at all, quite the pleasant «splurge,» ($ 57.00 + tips!!). There are other options, including bus, train, etc., but LaGuardia can be such a MASSIVE hassle to get around, this one worked FINE!!! Thanks, Larry and your trusty van #882!!!

I admit to being apprehensive to use a shuttle service for transportation from and to LaGuardia on a recent NYC trip, but the service proved timely, safe, and cost-​effective.
Color me a fan.
I even made a mistake. I was supposed to call in advance a minimum of at least 24 hours before my pick-​up back to LGA. I didn’t notice this until about 5 hours before I needed to depart. I called and they were able to accommodate me anyway. I preferred, too, the timely collection and the ability for me to track the driver’s whereabouts on my phone. In addition, I permitted the receipt of text alerts to keep my informed of the schedule. At 1:26 PM I received this SMS: Your SuperShuttle driver (Max) has an ETA of 2:27 PM. Guess what time Max pulled up? 2:27 PM. Precisely. Considering New York City traffic, I think that’s pretty good!
I would not hesitate to use SuperShuttle on my next trip to the Big Apple.
Based on my first and second experiences with their service, you shouldn’t hesitate either.

Wow, the return trip from JFK was a completely different experience than the trip going the other direction.
At first, I was quite excited about being able to check in online, but that was where the fun ended. It was partly my fault — I put down the wrong terminal because I’d flown in Delta domestically, and figured that I could choose the terminal based off of the descriptors provided online. Wrong.
Anyway, by the time I figured that out, the shuttle that was supposed to get me was already on its way. At least according to the GPS tracker online. After waiting around for the not so helpful welcome center staff to help, I called the SuperShuttle dispatchers from the airport phone and told them to change my pick up location — that was fine, and I was still going to be picked up by the same shuttle. Great! By this time, it had already been about an hour since I’d checked in, and I’d waited 40 minutes longer than their 15 – 20 minute quote.
So, the driver (who I only found out was the driver later) arrived and called off a list of names — which I was NOT on. He was also not wearing anything that indicated that he was employed by SuperShuttle, so I walked off to call the dispatcher again. I was on the phone with the dispatcher when the same driver returned and called my name. As we were walking off — and then again when we were in the shuttle (in front of a shuttle full of passengers) — he kept saying that he had called my name multiple times and come back to find me multiple times… but I was standing right at the welcome center so I would have heard him if he’d called my name. Ugh.
The driver tried to be as fast and efficient with the rest of the pickups as possible, but I still didn’t make it home until 2.5 hours after I landed at JFK. He also definitely gave some attitude to other customers on the shuttle. I understand that his job is stressful, especially when everyone is demanding attention and a speedy ride home, but I thought it was quite rude of him.
To break it down:
To JFK — definitely 5 stars (no headache, door-​to-​door service)
From JFK — 0 – 1 star (terribly long wait, poor communication)
Average of 2 stars.
I’d take SuperShuttle again to the airport, but I’m going to splurge on a taxi or über/​lyft on the way home next time.

Hi SuperShuttle. You don’t know me, but I know you. Every time my hotel guests book one of your shuttles, I know they’ll be waiting at least 20 minutes past their scheduled pick up time, and I am never cheerfully surprised. I never really recommended you, and I never really tried to dissuade people from you either.
But what I saw today was beyond the pale. After some unexpected extra charge, my guests asked for a copy of their bill to see why they were being asked to pay more. Your driver turned it into a screaming match in the street. He was waving and yelling at two elderly couples like he’d come completely unhinged, and after that display, no one in my hotel will be booking with you for as long as I work there.

Sollte man jemals nach New York fliegen und ein Hotel in Manhattan buchen, sollte man hier vor Ort gleich das Reisebüro auffordern, den Transfer Flughafen/​Hotel und auch zurück Hotel/​Flughafen über SuperShuttle zu buchen.
