Love this cool little spot, happy to have it close by to where I live. The staff are very nice and knowledgable. Great selection of drinks, food looks great but haven’t eaten here yet, next time!

Quite possibly my favorite bar ever. Taps are always interesting and fun, and the bottle and can selection is impeccable. The paninis are delicious! And the staff here is excellent and very attentive.

I just got home from my birthday party; from the service to the selection of drinks, I have nothing but kind things to say about Mosaic. I usually hate my birthday and they made it a lovely experience. All of my friends seemed to have a very easy time splitting off their checks from the main tab, and Logan, along with the rest of the staff, was super kind and accommodating to our party. Thank you!

Frequent here often. Best low key wine and craft bar in NYC. Atmosphere is very nice and very clean. You can tell the owner and staff take pride in this place. Bartenders are very knowledgeable about craft beer and wine and know how to make a good drink. Food selection is solid for this type of venue. If you’re commuting make sure to give them a ring and ask if they are closed for a private event. This is one of the few places that makes me wish I lived in Queens.

This is my favorite. In the country. Ever. The interior is impressive, classy, and most importantly welcoming. The beer selection almost had me, but the clincher was the bartenders’ knowledge, enthusiasm, and gregarious nature that won me over. (They are so good that I had to go to a thesaurus for that one).
When I lived in that neighborhood, I considered this square footage a part of my apartment. Since I have moved away, I try to come up with any excuse to visit. Side note: they are on point when it comes to celebrating birthdays, Oscars, Grammys, and popular tv show premiers. It really makes the community in the neighborhood. Bonus points that it’s next door to the Bohemian Beer Garden and Sparrow which are two other spots that help to make this neighborhood special. It’s the ultimate bar hop trifecta.
Edit: For the older comments that wish there were cocktails here… there now are! It’s official as of a few months ago that Mosaic serves cocktails! I haven’t tried one yet, because I keep getting excited about new beers that I haven’t tried, but I will try one soon!

Sit down in a cute setting with a lot of pillows, get a cheap bottle of wine and just talk the night away. the server came up to us right away and came at all the right times.

Stunning place to enjoy drinks and food. Came here for my friend’s bridal shower and I was blown away by the space. We did not have to decorate at all. The two bartender/​chefs were accommodating and helpful. It was one of the best parties I have been to.
The food was delicious — cheese plates to go with our drinks. We had unlimited food & drinks so you can bet I was enjoying myself!

Came with a large group for a multi bday celebration and this place was so on point — drinks were delicious, service was attentive but not hovering, the décor and ambiance were cozy & chic and the bartenders were accommodating and fun!
They even let us reserve a section of couches and tables for our party of 20 which was great!

Steph P. and I came here twice back in December for our Queens beer book crawl and completion. The cute little wine bar would not strike you initially as being a place that sells beer until you approach the bar area. First off, the area is set up like a bordello living room with gorgeous chandelier lighting and plush couches, french style love seats and armchairs in dark purple and gold, antiquated lamp shades, a golden ceiling with deep crimson walls and hanging drapes. It’s not over the top though and remains quite elegant.
Okay, their craft beer list — it goes for pages and is in a red bound book. The beer is separated by category of types of ales: ipas, wheats, stouts, browns/​reds, lambics, cider, etc. Most are in bottle form however and about 6 – 8 on tap. Happy Hour is from 5−7pm and entails $ 2 off wine/​draft pours, $ 1 off bottled beers. They also do private events because this space is seriously beautiful. If I lived near here and wanted to impress someone, this would do nicely.
I didn’t order any food upon our visits. Instead talked about craft beers with our pretty informative bartender. But the food menu smelled and looked stupid in the good kind of way. Lots of cheese/​fruit/​nut plates. Paninis: Brie & Apricot, Margherita, Smoked Italian Peppers & Onions, Grilled Chicken, Smoked BBQ Pulled Pork, and a Cuban. Something for everyone.

My roommates and I stopped in to play a board game on a weekend night around 6pm. We were told that there was a party scheduled for 8pm, so we were offered either a high table or allowed to sit wherever else we wanted, provided we left at 8. I can’t say we felt super welcome, but having worked in the service industry I at least understood how we might be perceived as inconvenient guests.
The four stars here come not from the service or even the drink, but for two major points: the décor/​ambiance and the food. I would live in Mosaic if I could. It’s dark and there are mosaic tiles on literally every surface of the building. The furniture is straight out of a 1920s Prohibition poster. There are spaces to sit in a huddle with your friends, or to people watch, or to chat with strangers. It looks like an excellent spot to host a party, provided you can convince all your non-​Astoria friends to make the journey in.
My roommates and I split guac and a meat/​cheese plate. The charcuterie was ON POINT! Excellently crafted brie and blue cheese and apricot, soppressata was as it ought to be — delish.
While I wasn’t crazy about my drink selection (Anderson Valley Blood Orange Gose), it was unique and I’m glad I gave it a shot. Will likely try something else next visit. Selection is vast. I think we could have received a bit more help in selection, but them’s the breaks.

I really like this place, it’s more of a lounge than anything else. It’s a bar but a more low key bar to chill with a crowd in their 30’s to 40’s with a pretty amazing beer selection. It’s a fun place to sit, chat and listen to some older music. It’s going to have some of your classic stuff from the 60’s to the 90’s. It’s a very local place since it is kinda in the middle of no where but is such a great place to visit. The beer selection is pretty cool since they organize all the beers by type with scores and recommendations from Mosaic, there is even a glossary of terms in the back for people new to beer. They have categories for Belgian, stouts, IPAs, lagers etc to wines to sakes. As a fan of Belgian Style beers and a fan of NY, I had a few bottles of Hennepin from the Ommegang Brewery, so damn clean, so damn refreshing.

Oh hai craft beer. Why yes, I most certainly will drink four beers with a 7.7% ABV on a school night. Sure, I had a few regular beers before that. No, it’s fine if I tell off color jokes to these strangers at the bar. Everything is cool, alright? Stop looking at me that way…
Anyhow, great bar. It seems classy and intimate enough but not in a stuffy pretentious way. Great for groups of friends, solo or date drinking. Overwhelming selection of beer, with a nifty glossary in the back.
I’ll try any smoked beer, so I started with the Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier — Marzen. It tastes like freakin bacon. Just like freakin bacon. And at first it was delicious. Then interesting. By the time I got to the bottom of the glass I knew I’d probably never order it again, but I was happy I had. I fell in love with the Hennepin Farmhouse Saison from Ommegang. Crisp and full bodied, bursting with flavor, and a higher ABV that will sneak up on you.
The night I was there they were rocking the 90’s songs. I remember the whole bar singing at one point and I can’t remember what we sang. Nice customers, cool bartenders, I’d come back.

One of my very favorite neighborhood spots. Mosaic is the place to go if you’re looking to grab a drink with friends but want to avoid the louder, more rowdy bars. It’s a great spot to take a date, too; the atmosphere here is cozy, low-​key, casual. And the beer/​wine menu is incredibly extensive — unbeatable for this neighborhood, as far as I can tell. This is the kind of place that makes me want to try a new beer every time I drop by, based solely on the breadth of what’s offered. The seasonal selections rotate frequently, too, and there are always great deals on tap. You can tell the people who work here are passionate and knowledgeable about the menu; service is attentive and helpful without being too overbearing.

Mosaic offers a comfy atmosphere, a solid craft beer list and a modest menu. The extremely knowledgeable staff and the rocking playlists really put this one over the top. If you’re looking for a quiet date spot, or a nice place to host an intimate gathering with friends, Mosaic is a great choice. Located on 24^th Ave, it provides a completely different vibe than the nearby Bohemian Beer Garden. The food is perfectly decent for snacking, and their cheese and charcuterie plates are definitely more affordable than others in the area. It’s worth checking out if you live in the area.

Found this place by searching on Unilocal,and so glad I found a place like this. This is the perfect place to come to if you’re looking to have drinks at a cute place and without the rowdy crowd. The atmosphere is great and laid back. The beer recommendations were awesome, so many to choose from! All the workers were nice and cool as well. I sat at the bar, but there were couches and tables as well. Next time I’ll try the food out I’m sure I won’t be disappointed. Absolutely loved this place

Man, am I glad that I love craft beer now. Rarely do I find myself in Queens, but Mosaic transcends all borough affinities. Everything about this place exudes cozy/​comfy/​happy — coincidentally, that how really really good beer makes me feel too.
Came here on a Saturday night around 11/11:30, and this trip was long anticipated. I didn’t care how out of the way it was — I needed to make it here on this particular night. As we walked along 24^th avenue, I started to wonder whether or not we were in the wrong place — this area is almost completely residential. But hark! On the next corner, with jolly, merry vibes emanating to and fro, was Mosaic. And lo… okay I’m Jewish and trying to get into the Christmas spirit… and have no idea what I’m talking about right now. My point: this is a true neighborhood hangout — the décor (more on that below) hammers that one home. There ain’t much around here but I wouldn’t be surprised if this place was bustling pretty much ²⁴⁄₇.
Walking in, you’ll immediately noticed how homey it is in here. Beautiful antique-​y couches and armchairs line the walls, there’s an adequate amount of standing room, but if you’re like me and want to chat with the bartenders about the absolutely colossal menu they have here, you’ve got some bar seating as well. Color scheme mostly stays in the red family with some golds scattered as well (very regal), some old paintings hang above the couches… you get the sense that a bunch of old white guys with monocles and huge libraries could sit around here and smoke whatever it was that they always had in their pipes. So you’ve got that whole vibe going on, minus the pretentiousness. The place can get pretty packed, but the clientele is very laid back and willing to accommodate new entries — you won’t run into many obnoxious «wtf» looks here when you’re trying to find a space to plop down on.
Seeing as the décor could seem almost aristocratic, it’s no surprise that the beer menu here is of the absolute highest quality. «Fit for a king» typically implies an almost atrocious amount of excess… and that’s pretty much this beer menu. I get overwhelmed by too many choices, so this menu was a panic attack waiting to happen. Thankfully, I decided to just limit myself to the Belgian Style section and what was on tap that night. You gotta narrow it down in some way, otherwise you’ll make yourself crazy. You’ll notice a column of numbers — all between 90 – 100 — listed next to each beer. These are the averages of ratings from a few different beer sites (beer advocate and one other thing, I think). Very nice touch — don’t think I’ve ever seen this at any other craft beer bar so I very much appreciated that feature. Mosaic also has their own recommendations, which they have they have their own notation for. So you’ve got a lot of good info to work with!
So, staying true to form, I went with one Belgian Tripel that I hadn’t had before, and one new draft beer. I tried the «Maredsous», which I hadn’t even heard of before. A tad richer than a Tripel Karmeliet, which is one of Mosaic’s «recommended» options. They’re all great. Another nice touch here is that they give you the empty beer bottle along with your drink when they serve you (pictured). I always appreciate getting a visual. It makes sense that beer aficionados would want to study the bottle, and this certainly is a must-​see destination for those folks. My other beer was a «Plead the 5^th» imperial stout, which was pretty heavy but still great. It’s a double imperial, so it’s got that coffee-​type taste that characterize some of the really dark beers. Not for everyone, but I sincerely enjoyed it.
Lastly, service was top notch. Bartenders here — as they should be at bars like this — are incredibly knowledgeable and willing/​happy to converse about the menu. I pretty much gave them likes and dislikes and let them do the rest.

Acquainted myself with this cozy joint on a slow, quiet weeknight after work. Tried the Paul Jaboulet Aine Parallele 45 Cote Du Rhone and a selection of artisanal cheeses which complimented the palette quite well.
Service was attentive and pleasant. Great for lounging around on Sunday afternoon or pre-​dinner drinks.

It’s as if Rapture pulled itself together, quit its coke habit, let in the light in, and got serious about its craft beer selection.
We were greeted by a friendly server and sat at a high table (the sofas looked cozy and clean too). From the warmly painted walls and pleasant bar, to the handy beer styles cheat sheet, the ambiance was relaxed, friendly and subtly romantic.
The guy had a goat cheese and honey panini that gave Bambino a run for its money. I tried a salad — fresh and flavorful. Portions were great for snacking. We sipped a couple beers each and chilled out.
Tbh I’m not sure I’ve ever been to a lounge that only served beer and wine, but it works here. Maybe the absence of shots keeps it mellow. Whatever they’re doing, it works.
Can’t wait to come back.

Astoria, I think I’m falling for you… I just found my local watering hole. Nestled away on a very quiet residential block is this hidden little gem of a bar specializing in awesome craft beer and quality wine. Came here on a Saturday with a couple of friends. Upon entering, we couldn’t help but be impressed with the space and décor — cozy and quaint with a Victorian parlor and furniture, antique chandeliers, and the mosiac tiled tables were a nice accent. Really feels like a chic speakeasy, but without the $ 15 cocktails or the pretense.
Beer lovers rejoice. The beer list is EXTENSIVE. While we didn’t order any wine (maybe next time), we imbibed in a few of Mosaic’s over 170 varietals of beer offerings. Given that I worked earlier in the day, I needed my beer to be both tasty and efficient, so of course I went with my go-to’s in that (and almost every) situation — Belgian Ales. Specifically, the Ommegang Three Philosophers & Delirium Tremens. As always, those beers did not disappoint. To cap off the night, I changed it up to strong and fruity with the Dog Fish Head Midas Touch — sweet, yet dry and surprisingly malty. Good stuff. After three beers all with 9%+ ABVs, the debauchary was in full effect for the evening.
As for the service, it was right on point. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and quirky (in the best of ways). As he served our beers, he addressed us as «My Liege» or «My Lady». Perhaps he was embracing the Victorian theme of the bar or perhaps he was just messing around with us in our «classy”-drunk states. Either way, we all thought it was a riot.
The ONLY qualm I have with this place is I wished they served cocktails. If it did, Mosaic would be a no-​brainer 5-​star bar for me. But for now, the cool vibe and awesome craft beers will have to do. I will no doubt be back again. And again and again.

Mosaic is our go-​to spot in Astoria. As a full time mixologist in Manhattan, I can count on Mosaic to provide the most award winning craft beers and wine to the Queens community. Bartenders Billy, Brett, and Logan are educated and enthusiastic about the craft industry. A must see if you live in Astoria or if you’re visiting.
Not to mention, the AC is on!

Mosaic is obviously a great place for craft beers and wines, but they meet a new standard in hospitality in the way the bartenders represent themselves and their bar. There are few bars in Astoria that have such a tightly curated beer selection, but the selling point is really that the bartenders are so knowledgable and willing to converse and recommend the craft brew best suited to your taste.
All of this combined with the low-​key, low-​volume, but classy atmosphere makes for a great place to go to when you’re looking for date night, or just a relax place to take your friends. On this particular occasion I haven’t been here in a while, but the bartenders all remembered my name.

Great time here. There are couches to get cozy on, and tables and stools if you’d like to sit like normal people. It wasn’t crowded on a Saturday night when I went, so date and I didn’t have to share the couch. The waiter was a certain type of friendly that isn’t found in New York. There are tons of beers; I got the peach one and loved it. Great how they let you sample beers before you order. Also, there’s decent food. The guac we got wasn’t fantastic, but not worth docking a star for. Definitely a gem in Astoria.

Ever walk by a place a thousand times and think to yourself; «Man, that place looks dark and cool, and it’s probably a cool place to lose a day in the winter. But there are big windows so you know it’s gonna be awesome on a nice night too», but never actually end up going in? That was my life for a long time when it comes to Mosaic.
It’s a pretty decent spot for its location. Nothing too crazy or over the top. It has a solid beer list, but beware if you have friends that prefer Bud Light. Their options will be Peroni and Stella.
The only reason this gets 3 stars is because there are a lot of other options in the immediate area, and I may not rush here on a summer day. It’s a solid place, all things considered.

This is a super quaint and well decorated date spot in Astoria. It’s the sort of place where you want to drink a dark and stormy cocktail… but you can’t. There’s no booze here. But, there’s plenty of wine and beer.
Bring a date! Or a friend. You won’t be disappointed.

Mosaic is an excellent date night spot, as the atmosphere is quite romantic. Who doesn’t love the thought of lounging on velvet couches and sipping on wine by candlelight? The chandeliers, red walls, mirrors, and 80s pop/​rock music softly playing in the background were a nice touch, too. But while the décor may be fancy, there’s no pressure to dress up as such. Classy casual? Yeah, let’s go with that.
The domestic and international craft beer selection is WILD. Literally over 170 different to choose from! I didn’t try any of their wine, though — in fact, I barely glanced at the list because I was so excited by how many IPAs and Saisons were available. The food menu mostly consists of meat and cheese plates, paninis, and small appetizers. And although I had already eaten dinner before meeting up with a friend here, there is always room in my life for more cheese — I highly recommend the smoked gouda. Definitely recommend and will be returning soon!

I have never been here but I chose this place for a first date. I expected my date to arrive first, but I actually got there early. Reason being, I didn’t expect to find parking in Astoria so quickly. The immediate area is not saturated with hookah lounges, restaurants or tons of people. I was slightly nervous, as a female, not knowing anyone there but I was instantly put at ease. The bartender was friendly and immediately recommended a great beer; they have over 175.
The 20 minute waiting period flew by due to the cool customers, chill décor and ambient lighting.
So to all you single ladies, it’s a safe neighborhood bar to attend solo… but easy on the drinking!

Wow, what a super place off the main drag in Astoria! Has everything you could want in a neighborhood bar elevated to another level. The space is sexy: chandeliers, couches, eponymous tables interspersed with hi two tops, tin ceilings, rich red walls, lighting that makes everyone glow and one million craft beer selections. Ok, not one million but a huge (150+) beer menu, wine, port, sake, soju and cider too.
There’s eclectic food options ranging from guacamole and chips to panini, hummus, spanakopita, cheese and charcuterie and more. On the evening we were there, owner Tom took great care of my GF and I. She is a beer enthusiast and I prefer wine = done! Tom even convinced me to try a fantastic local Panumonk rosè (usually I picture Bubbe having this with ice at Del Boca Vista, but it was stellar!) to accompany my «cheese for dinner» decision =) The blueberry chèvre, smoked Gouda and Gorgonzola were perfect as were the nuts, crackers, bread and honey accoutrements. Abi had the Margarita Bruschetta and the Brie Panini, the latter oozing with triple crème, walnuts, almond butter, apricots with a powdered sugar dusting was delicious; she took half home.
This is a place to sit and enjoy a catch up conversation, date night, GNO over bevs and bites in a warm comfortable setting. It has been bookmarked forever and I’m so glad we went. They have beer tasting (some blind!) events, «Walking Dead» and other screenings, Happy Hour specials and options for catering. Even the music choices were on point, and not too loud, so conversation can flow. Great place, super staff and owners, can’t wait to return.
