good, no frills deep tissue massage. I would wish they would ask if you had any injuries or areas you would like to avoid so just make sure you tell them in advance or they will go ¹¹⁄₁₀ on all areas!

From the moment I walked in up until the moment I left the customer service was impeccable… the front desk was knowledgeable about the products and services. My therapist, Tammy was awesome. I got the winter ritual and she really accomplished all I needed to be done. She was attentive to the areas I needed work on and communicated well through out the service. The ambiance of the spa was relaxing and tranquil. Whenever I visit the city I will absolutely visit this spa. If I could give more stars… I would.

The past year I’ve been a regular customer. Yesterday I went and was shorted my full one hour massage by about 5 – 10 minutes. I’ve never had to keep time during a massage and wasn’t planning on it yesterday. I had texted my husband and gone to the bathroom and gotten undressed and then waited briefly for my massage. When it was finished I checked my phone after I dressed and it was exactly one hour since that text. So you can consider it «nickel and diming» or you can take it as a sign to be more aware. I made no issue of it. There are so many new places similar in the neighborhood. I’ll just give them a try.

Best massage place ever! I had a long day at work today, figured I might give this place a try since my friend recommended it couple times to me. I had a great experience, the staff did a great job, didn’t rush at all even though they are about to close. I didn’t make an appointment, but the wait wasn’t long. The place is very clean, staffs are friendly and experienced. I am glad I came and will definitely come back again!

I reviewed Lilac Spa two years ago after consistently good experiences. That streak came to a dead hault on New Years Eve 2015.
I called ahead like I normally do, setting up my appointment.
When I came in I was told I had to wait 15 minutes. I was mostly upset at the fact that people before me who didn’t have an appointment were being taken in before I. I understood a small wait on what seemed to be a busy day.
The man who’s always at the front collecting peoples money walked me to the back. Allllll the way in the back. I laid on the bed and the massage began… I had just started to relax… and then he disappeared without saying a word for 3 – 5 minutes.
He returned, and still didn’t say a word. No «i’m sorry’s»…nothing. It was clear to me that he left to go collect someone’s money who was leaving.
He had just gotten started again… and then the phone rings.
6 rings, and someone walked the phone all the way to the back… disturbing every customer on it’s way. Then the man ANSWERED THE PHONE next to the massage table and then walked out of my area.
That’s when I got up and got dressed.
There was literally nothing said to me. Not an option to work with someone else, still no i’m sorry’s…nothing. To top it off when I walked out the guy that was working with me was again collecting someones money as other customers were walking in.
Not one single attempt to keep the business of a regular customer. Not to mention the fact that I was there for a reason… to de-stress…and the experience was the worst I’ve ever had anywhere.
I won’t be going back.
With so many cheap rub-​down places nearby, you’d think they could manage the bare minimum to keep good customers happy.

Went here with my wife and the deal running was 80 minutes for $ 40. Pretty amazing at face value. My wife was very pleased with her massage but mine was the worst massage I’ve ever had. No question. It’s not there was too much pressure, you can always tell the masseuse to ease up. My masseuse worked in short sudden jabs that caused more tension then they relieved. At moments I felt unsafe because she seemed to lack basic training. I almost walked out but the value kept me there for the duration. Big mistake. I was in worse shape leaving then when I arrived. Your body isn’t worth the risk and there are better places in the immediate neighborhood.

Must have tried every massage in Queens and Manhattan and nothing compares to a massage from Wendy in Lilac. And you get excellent and unsurpassed service for a reasonable price.
Place is clean and relaxing. Not luxorious, but offers very good value for money.
What really makes the difference is Wendy. You will notice that she will go the extra mile to accommodate each client needs. I have back pain and she spends extra time on my lower back and left side.
I go there very frequently and so should you if you value a good massage. Try it and you won’t be disappointed.

$ 40 for a full hour, price cannot be beat! Great service. Excellent value. I will say, don’t expect a fancy spa like setting. Remember you are not paying $ 100. Wendy was my massuer and she was very attentive. I will be back!

This was my 3^rd time here and I absolutely loved it. I got a full body massage from Kiki, she’s blessed with magic fingers. Totally worth the money.

Meh. I’ve had better cheap massages. This wasn’t bad, just wasn’t great either. It’s hard to communicate problem areas when your masseuse doesn’t really speak English. You kind of get what you pay for.

After two visits to this place, I’ve decided to look for another Spa service that is more professional.
My mother and I arrived for our appointment for 1hr body massage each on a Sunday afternoon. During the ENTIRE session, one of the women there kept lifting the curtain and talking to the male massuist that was massaging my mother. I don’t understand Chinese, but I can hear the entire back and forth conversation in my section as well. Be prepared to hear the phone ring constantly and even picked up by your massuist during your session.
After the massage, they gave my mother 1 minute to get dressed. Before she was even finished putting on her clothes, they asked to come in to prepare the room for the next client. My mother was rushed out of the room. When you go to a SPA, you want relaxation and to take your time. Although the price is reasonable here, I’d rather pay a bit more to have a better experience.

I was looking for an affordable massage place in my neighborhood and I went to Lilac for the first time today based on the Unilocal reviews. I went with a friend in the early afternoon and we did not have to wait. Both of our therapists did a super job. The rooms are clean and it was pretty quiet considering there’s only curtains separating the rooms.
I asked for a firm massage from my therapist Nancy and she really knew how to work on my knots. I’m making this a once a month ritual.
The staff in general is very friendly and attentive. The price for an hour was $ 40 before 3pm, not including tax.

No, this is not an ideal spa experience but there is nothing to complain about here because these folks have the magic touch. One of the best massages I’ve had and for only $ 40 for a full hour. (Before 3pm after 3pm the price goes up to $ 45 which is still a steal) There is some noise from the street and fellow clients as the only thing separating you are screens but it doesn’t get in the way of getting a quality massage for such an affordable cost. Sophia helped me and I would recommend her. Attentive, kind, and mindful of your comfort throughout. What more could one ask for? Plus you get a discount card: buy 10 massages get the 11^th free! Wha!?!

Great place on Steinway to get a massage. Yeah, it looks wicked sketchy when you walk upstairs into a dimly lit area. But the employees are professional and will greet you with the utmost kindness.
I tried for a walk in with my cousin one day, but there was a 20 minute wait and it was getting late. So I opted to come on the weekend by booking an appointment. They called to confirm my appointment, but I ended up asking them if I could come early and they took me.
It was fully staffed on a Saturday and you could tell that people were already in there getting massages. The beds are basically separated by dividers, so you can hear everything. It does get a little tough to relax with all the commotion around you.
I had LuLu for my 60 minute massage and she was great. They do use oil, but then they also use a hot wet towel to clean it off so it isn’t all over your clothes when you leave.
They also have a frequent customer stamp card. I believe after 10 massages, you get one free. Great prices. Only $ 40 for a one hour massage before 3pm.

Just got back from a massage there and wanted to let everyone know how wonderful they were! I walked in and was brought into a room right away. Kiki did a wonderful job! She was attentive to tense areas but didn’t neglect any other part of the body. She gave me the best massage I’ve had in a long time.
It is not a fancy place but it certainly is cozy and that is exactly what I needed on a cold day. Thank you KiKi and the rest of the staff at Lilac. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a good massage on the fly.

Great spot for a Deep Tissue Massage. Located on da 2^nd floor not a huge spot, but a clean spot with pricing you can’t beat. The Red color lighting they use can give off the wrong impression, but they all about the massaging only!
Everyone was friendly, when it got down to business Sofia did her thing. I enjoy Extremely Hard Massages & she didn’t disappoint. Hang your cloths in da same room, no need to worry. The noise of chatter, even though they try to talk low does get annoying … Bring your headphones & zone out to your own set of beats.
I see a lot of couples come together, they do get busy especially on weekends. Call in and make a appointment, be patient there english may not be the best, but who cares there massaging skills are on point!

I was looking for a relaxing place close to my new apartment in Astoria. My back was full of knots and tense. I found Lilac because of my research and it got great reviews, so I said why not. I was going to be there a little after 3pm, which is when their $ 40 for 1 hr massage ends, but the man I spoke to said they would honor it, such a nice perk.
This was my first Asian massage and let me tell you how impressed I was with my therapist and her level of knowledge. Although we couldn’t really communicate due to the language barrier, I didn’t have to say anything since she felt my back and could ease out my knots with her amazing techniques. This place primarily focuses on the back and legs, but I felt like a million bucks after leaving.
I will be back here once a month! Def stop by if you’re in the area and want a great quality massage!

This is my #1 massage place in Astoria. The service is great, you can’t beat $ 45 for a 60 minute massage. They focus on the back, neck, legs, arms everywhere in which you address problem areas. You need to let the therapist know how you like the pressure (medium or hard)… most have started with extra pressure. They put hot stone rocks and hot towels on your back which is an added bonus! The holiday special is great $ 40 for 80 minutes, they were really able to help get the knots out of my back and tackle the sore areas.
There are no private rooms as they are separated so it’s similar to a massage school but for the level of care, effort and attention they give you it’s worth it to go. Place is clean and staff is friendly. My monthly massage spot!
I did also get a facial, it was good but not the best I’ve had as I felt it was low quality products they were using on my face compared to other spas, the extractions were also not as detailed so I’ll just stick with only the massages going forward.

I’ve lived in queens all my life, and I’m I’m so sorry I didn’t find this place sooner. Awesome local spot.
This is the first and only massage spot I’ll go to. It’s really clean, & the people are friendly and professional. It’s quiet for the most part, and really, really relaxed. Turn the phone off hop on the table and chillax. Plus awesome guava candies at the end.
The $ 40 hour deal before 3 is great also. I haven’t been there for a few months now ever since Ann left back to china. SHE WAS THE MASTER… I went back a week later, and got a good massage from another person there. It was good but I guess Ann’s routine had me jaded. I want to go back now, I guess I’ll ask for Cindy this time
P. S. Keep your little card. Drop $ 400 (10 hour sess.) and get an hour on the house!

I admit this is the first massage I’ve ever gotten, but I thoroughly enjoyed it here.
I woke up one day (sleeping in the wrong position?) and my neck HURT at every movement. If it was any day to get a massage, it was today.
You go up the stairs of the building and enter a very homey, clean, zen place. The atmosphere very soothing with light instrumental music playing and a fountain somewhere They don’t speak much english, but they’re very sweet and accommodate your needs.
Before 3pm they offer an hour massage for $ 40 which is what I did. General breakdown of my hour: Massage the whole body, oil massage, hot stone and hot towel massage, back to normal massage
I had, what I thought were minor back pains until Rain worked his magic. The problem areas hurt like hell obviously, but I knew my massage was at least effective. He paid special attention to the areas he immediately claimed «no good» and cracked my neck in two spots towards the end. I immediately felt relief.
After the massage, my body felt more loose and good. It still hurt a little to turn my head, but by the end of that day it was completely back to normal. My neck area is a little sore from the massage, but that’s perfectly understandable and worth it.
Definitely worth checking out this cute little spot. Bring cash if you want to save on tax, but they take credit cards too.
