If you need to record an orchestra, chorus, big
band or projects that require more space than is usually available,
KAS Music & Sound, is your answer.
Studio A is a 2,400 square foot room, with 2 large isolation
chambers. Studio A’s control room is a 550 square foot, LEDE
control room, with a Neve V3−60 console. Studio A can comfortably
house a 70 piece orchestra, or a 120 voice chorus, but at the same
time, be an intimate setting for small groups or solo performers.
Studio B at KAS Music & Sound is a smaller studio and
control room that is utilized for movies, TV and small music projects.
This 450 square foot studio and 250 square foot control room are set
up for ADR, pre-records, voice-overs, and smaller music projects.
Executive Creative Director Joe Castellon will offer his years
of experience as a producer, arranger and engineer, to make your
sessions run as smoothly as possible.
History
Established in 1984.
Large room recording studios are not gone from New York City,
there is one right here at Kaufman Astoria Studios, where it’s been
for the last 25 years.
KAS Music and Sound is one of the last of its breed. A large,
wonderful sounding room, coupled with the warmth of a large
analog console, recording to digital or analog formats of all types,
packaged with the experience to make it all do what you need.
