Highway robbery. Went in there for 2 shakes for my husband and mother in law. The board has them at 3.95 and 4.95 and the lady charges me 13.00. She says the prices have changed. Really, when was the last time you updated the board since what you charged me was 5.00 more than what was on the board… Not even an apology, and the shakes weren’t even THAT good. disppointed

Awesome place for a great breakfast. The food was delicious and the service was amazing. The menu had a big selection which makes me want to go there again. I am looking forward to lunch and trying there shrimp with quinoa bowl just sounds so yummy. You need to go try it yourself.

They have a great menu and I’ve had a good experience when I eat in the restaurant but the delivery service is terrible. I ordered the pecan pancakes with whipped cream and got pecan waffles. I called to tell them and they were super nice and came out again but this time they forgot the whipped cream. At this point, I didn’t want to have to reorder again. I sent a message to Eat24 to tell them about the issue and got no response at all from them.

So great! Something for everyone and great service! But be careful because it can be addicting as we find ourselves now ordering from home! Even if someone in the house is having a juice diet (they have so many to choose from!) so something great for everyone!

The place is ok. I’d say it’s more of a diner but they have a nice outside seating area which I’m going to make sure to check out in summer. Prices were pleasantly surprising. Food was good the first time we set down in the restaurant for brunch. The second time I placed an order for pick up and it was just ok. Chicken soup was too watery and didn’t have much chicken in it and chicken in the sandwich was a little too tough. I’m still going to give it another chance but probably for breakfast/​brunch.

We’ve been to going to Igloo as our local diner for about three years. I’d say overall it’s good but not great. The food is hit or miss and the service is often sloppy. We usually do breakfast and we’ve had occasions where everything comes out cold or burnt or both. We’ve also had perfectly great diner fare. Eggs bacon omelettes burgers wraps all pretty good. It’s good when it’s good and it’s not when it’s not.

This place was okay. The food was pretty decent, nothing too spectacular. I got the Italian omelet, my boyfriend got the sundried tomato and goat cheese omelet, and the prices aren’t bad. The wait time however was very long, it took us 30 minutes for our food to arrive. They also were not very organized in seating us. There were two women who went in and charged ahead of us towards the back, cutting us and another couple who were there first, demanding to get seated first. The one hostess said they were here first and when we said actually no., the other one had noticed and was apologetic. The pre-​buttered toast wasn’t great, (I just don’t like when they do that), because there’s usually too much butter. If that had been stated I would’ve asked for it without, I don’t usually see that happen in NYC. The coffee wasn’t bad for it being a diner coffee. Overall just okay, would maybe try again. But I’d like to try some other places in the neighborhood first.

Food wasn’t bad, but not worth the wait. They do not have a good system for seating people. You enter and the staff is immediately confused as to weather you are staying or going. You can see they always hope for «going» because when to say «staying» they get nervous and realize they hadn’t prepared for that. It’s a nice layout. They should clean up their back porch area because if you sit by the window you have a lovely view of garbage and debris. The food was standard diner food and the portions were filing. The price was not bad but the wait time is awful. My girlfriend and I ordered omelettes and we waited 30mins. The waitress was nice and I don’t blame her, but if you’re a diner next to a subway stop, speed should be a top priority.

Home fries are delish and my western omelette was yummy. Coffee was standard diner coffee, but good nonetheless. Honest prices and a warm atmosphere. Highly recommended to those looking for a quick, cheap breakfast in Astoria!

My sons brought me here this past January and now visiting again! Place is great! Excellent food service and priced right! Will be back again!

Decent little place in the heart of my hometown. Always buzzing with the local crowd, and in nice weather they open up the backyard for seating. Great coffee (Seattle), fresh juices, huge selection of smoothies. Food is decent, nothing to write home about, but the prices are more than fair for what you get, so I’m fine with it.

I ordered a nutella latte. I was a little angry about the fact that I had to ask 3 different people for the same order, but they gave me an extra spoonful of nutella with sprinkles on top to make up for it. Will definitely be back.

Came here to meet an old friend for lunch. Service was fast and food was good. Ordered french toast and eggs. Yeah I know u can’t go wrong with that but believe me u can at other places lol. Whenever I’m around I would sure come back again.

They seem more like a glorified Mom & Pop shop that we long-​standing neighborhood residents want to help keep afloat, rather than the diner some folks call them. However, I’m thinking their stronger suit is in-​house dining, as my delivery wasn’t up to par, even by diner standards.
Customer service was lovely, both on the phone and with the delivery gentleman. I really enjoyed my breakfast order, even reheated the next day. And am very thankful that they give a large enough omelette for one splurge breakfast or two portioned breakfasts, and at a very reasonable rate. I actually think I’ll switch to Igloo from my long-​standing go-​to breakfast delivery option.
But they missed the mark on so many points of my order that it’s hard to chalk it up to an off day. To make their potentially awesome business even more popular on all fronts, they really need to pay better attention to the requests on orders.
Giving white instead of whole wheat bread… non-​crisp/​bad-​chewy/​old waffle fries… not nailing burger temperature… preparing the entire order before realizing one item is 86-ed…then letting it sit so that the burger bun gets drenched soggy, and all items are delivered luke warm and cheeses coagulated?
That’s a lot of wrong in one order.
Fortunately, the woman who called to confirm a replacement item was very nice and apologetic, and even threw in some complimentary cookies to compensate for the difference in price.
I will definitely continue to give them breakfast business, and would actually love to try them in house. I may give them another shot on lunch/​dinner item delivery… though it would likely be the last if I’d be given food in need of reheat or restructure.
Either way, I’d recommend them for breakfast and for those looking to get healthy portions at lower costs.

I came here for brunch, I ordered the strawberry and banana waffles with a side of bacon. The waffles were okay but the bacon was overcooked; the service was excellent though

This place is just the bees knees. The service is impeccable– the staff is always smiling and attentive to everyone’s needs.
The food is so delish-​from appetizers to main meals you’ve gotta give this place a try.
Also, go here for your protein shakes after a work out. They’ll hook it up and give you the extra’s in a cup!

This place has sundaes! I didn’t need read anything else, I was already sold. You can make your own or order one of their creations off the menu (get the cookie one!!). They deliver the sundaes too. Yes, deliver. And it’s not melting all over the place because they’re quick. So when you’re sad and having a bad day, having a weekend Netflix binge-​session, or even just bored with a sweet tooth, this is your place!

Still going strong… ordered lunch online for pick-​up. Went with the California burger and when I got back to the office, lo and behold, I was surprised to see my burger slathered with BBQ sauce and plenty of bacon. Don’t eat pork so wasn’t going to work for me.
At this point, I was perty hangry! I think that came across when I picked up the phone and called them. However, to Andy’s credit, his pleasant demeanor and tactful customer service skills diffused the situation (as in me :)) to a satisfying conclusion. He apologized profusely and offered to throw in a free drink to boot. Told me delivery would take 10 minutes and arrived in 15 which was no biggy :)
Shout out to Andy! He knows how to treat customers right.

My experience as a sit-​in customer was below average. Came here for breakfast with a friend and we were both unimpressed. Although I did appreciate the vast menu, the taste and quality really didn’t do it.
I’ve come in for take out which was better than the in house experience.
Staff: 3.5÷5
Food (in house): 2.5÷5
Take out: 3.5÷5

Igloo Café is a fine diner. I took my parents here from out of town when I didn’t feel like making them breakfast :)
I’ll also get soup here when I’m under the weather.
Even if I had a long day and want a quick meal that won’t put me in the grave, it’s nice to order when I’m on the train at Queensboro and pick it up when I get off at Ditmars.
They offer all the staple diner dishes, grand slam breakfasts, clubs for lunch, gyro platters and other entrees for dinner.
My favorite includes their turkey club on rye with lemon rice soup.
Service with a good attitude, fair prices, and unbeatable location. Delivery is snappy too.

This review is solely based on Ice Cream!
My husband was craving sundae and found this spot on Unilocal.We decided to check it out because of its good reviews.
He ordered the Sunday ice cream with m&m’s. Is this for real? It was so bad and we were so so beyond disappointed. Plain scoops of ices cream they just or m&m’s in and comes. Nothing special! Oh and it was super small costing I think $ 8.
Save your money for a real ice cream parlor!

Igloo has really stepped their game up lately!
Holly may be the coolest server of any diner ever — she’s rad & genuinely helpful.
I’ve come to appreciate the juice bar, and they’ll make a juice or smoothie with just about any combo of fruit & vegetables you ask for. Love their fresh squeezed oj too.
If you’re there for breakfast, try their potato pancakes as a side! Deelish.
I’ve also come to love the back dining room, with a great view of their backyard.
My only complaint is their music — terrible pop that’s often played too loud. One time they were playing 80s and another time classic rock; both are much preferred.
I like where you’re going, Igloo! Keep it up.

I was craving some nice breakfast and did not know where to go. Finally, I came across this place which look pretty friendly, and since I was alone, I did not get the horror look when I said «one please.»
I had belgium waffles with bacon and scramble eggs. In addition, I ordered a cappuccino and the server was nice enough to offer whipe cream and cinnamon on top. Everything was delicious far from what I expected, and it was a nice atmosphere.
