First off, this is not a fancy 5 star Mexican restaurant. Nor is it a classic Mexican restaurant like one you may find in Jackson Heights, etc. I’ve only ever gotten delivery here, and they consistently deliver under 45 minutes. The food is quick and easy take out, think of it like the fast food of Mexican. I can say I’m not a fan of their nachos, but maybe thats because melted cheese nachos are not meant to be delivered. Everything else, yum! I constantly get their Mexican pizza, steak and chicken combo, burrito, etc. the side orders of guac and sour cream are necessary IMO. If your’e looking for a quick bite, I suggest it!

If you’re looking for cheap, yummy, and quick — this place is the shizz. I can get lunch for $ 5 and be perfectly content and wonderfully full. For $ 2 you can get a soft taco, made on a freshly baked fluffy tortilla, stuffed with anything from chorizo and black beans(my two personal favorites), to standard ground beef, cheese, etc etc. Don’t forget to add lettuce and tomato for 50 cents.(Hey, I did say they were cheap.) Great for a weekday lunch on the run and daytime drunk food(no judgment… you know you’ve been there.)

This is my go-to for tacos, primarily because the delivery is so fast and prices are so reasonable. The tacos and quesadillas sincronizadas taste fresh and usually the items I choose. The order comes with hot sauce(mild) and they usually don’t provide napkins unless you ask.

Disgusting. The quesadilla was bland and tasteless, and served on a pita bread. The guacamole nachos looked repulsive and there was barely any cheese. The guacamole itself looked old, and was a weird pale shade of green. We also ordered shrimp tacos which came with whole pieces of shrimp falling out, and I fed them to my cat.

Eh. Ok Grub This will be a delivery only review. This is one of those quick and cheap tex mex places — kind of like those cheap tex-mex/american chinese take out places. Most things are under 8 bucks and the minimum for delivery is 5 – 7 bucks. For the most part, the food is somewhat bland but you get large portions for the price(the grill chicken and«steak» may be the best thing on the menu). If you want real Mexican food this is not the place for you. However, if you are drunk or recovering from a hangover and want food in a hurry then this place is perfect. .. At least for delivery.

This is a delivery only review! I have never been in the actual place I love ordering from here. I live in the area and order all of the time, usually late nights when I just want some cheesy flavorful(and yes, greasy Mexican). This isn’t a gourmet type of place, this is a quick, easy, cheap HUGE portions type of place. Everything is seasoned great, and the delivery is always super fast. I usually order a quesadilla and some tex mex chilli nachos and that fills me up pretty good with leftovers. The prices are great here, I never have the«I should have cooked» buyers remorse after getting my chase notification or seamless confirmation. Try them out, pretty great in my opinion!

I’ve never had such disappointing mexican food. I took a few bites and threw it out.

I know, I know. You are questioning my 5 stars. Well, for what this place is, it is as good as it gets. I can get a delicious chicken fajita flour tortilla for $ 2.19 and be very, very happy. The people are friendly. The food is extremely fast. The food is tasty. What more do you need?

I came here near closing(11pm) and was just hungry and looking for a good portion of food for cheap. That’s one of the good things about this place, the food here doesn’t cost a lot. It’s not going to be authentic Mexican food, but it’s not something you’re expecting from a place like this. I ended up getting a chicken burrito. Chipotle is better but also costs $ 3 more. Oh, and this place is cash only. They also don’t have a bathroom, but I asked the guy behind the counter if he had hand sanitizer, and he was nice enough to get me some

Cheap, fairly delicious Mexican food, especially if you’re not a meat eater. The black bean burrito and guacamole quesadilla make a great quick meal.

If you’re hungry and in a rush, eat here. Fresh food prepared within minutes. If you know exactly what you want then you will have paid for your order and walk out the place with your meal in about 4 minutes. It fills you up for about $ 6 – 7. Try the chicken combo or the chorizo combo. Comes with rice, beans, lettuce, tomatoe, and guacamole.

Stay away. I’ve eaten here or gotten takeout a few times, but after having enough bad experiences, I’ve learned my lesson. This is a small restaurant with just a few tables and chairs, along the lines of the many chinese takeout places you’ll find throughout the area. Definitely a below-average aount of effort put into décor, but that’s not really what anyone’s looking for in a place like this. If anything, it misleads you into thinking that it’s the type of place where aesthetics are downplayed in order to focus on authentic, quality food(see Mi Espiguita on 31st street for this). Walking in you’ll be greeted by a not rude but certainly not friendly woman who will expect you to know exactly what you want the second you walk in the door. Granted, there are only so many different mexican dishes, so maybe you could’ve thought about it beforehand, but still, at best it doesn’t make for the most comfortable welcome if you’d like to take a second to look over the menu, and at worst it rushes you into ordering something you don’t really want. This latter scenario will then land you in the unfortunate circumstance of eating a subpar version of something you don’t really want to be eating in the first place. Whatever you order will be ready in under a minute. At first this seems great — fast service is always good — right? But then you realize that this means your food is about as far from made-to-order as can be. At a fast food place, they’ve got the volume of customers and the technological capacity to make stuff quick but still hot and fresh tasting(albiet incredibly unhealthy). I don’t think the same thing is going on at Fresco. You’ll get rubbery overcooked or undercooked meat(probably reheated in a microwave), and flavorless vegetables. I guess the tortillas themselves are fine, but nothing special.(Even if they were fantastic, has a mexican dish ever been saved by the quality of the tortilla it’s on?) There are much better mexican places in the area(Mi Espiguita in particular) if you’re looking for delivery or takeout. If you’re looking for a spot to eat on 36th ave, you can definitely do better. Unless you need your meal in about 45 seconds. Speed is the only thing this place has going for it.

I placed an order on at 5:03pm. The guy rang my buzzer at 5:13pm! LOL I live a subway stop away from this place, too! It’s all pretty meh. The tomatoes were white, the guac was a yellow/brown… but that’s why Jesus gave us sriracha. And«made» and delivered in 10 minutes?! You bet your ass you’re getting three stars, buddy!

Remember those parties where you wake up in the morning feeling like a sack full of meat? You look around at the motley collection of degenerates passed out on and around the wreckage of your living space… What’s that? Somebody had projectile everything across all four wall and the floor of the bathroom? Ceiling too? Very well then. That’s kind of the feeling takeout from this place gave me. Lukewarm… sloppy…soggy…chunky…a faint musky spice permeates the room. The chili with rice and the chili taco looks worse than that debacle in the commode. The burrito is a full sagging and torn diaper and it takes a moment to understand what it is and why it is there. And you think, if only I were blackout drunk– this would all make sense. Then I would certainly be enjoying this more… or caring less.

Decent option for cheap, quick«why am I so drunk I don’t care gimme tacos nnnooooooowwwwww!!!» tex-mex. But it’s not really meant to be saved and reheated the next day. They call themselves Fresco for a reason, folks! The quesadillas are the best bet, IMO. I liked the kitchen sink one and the chorizo one. Yeah. Their chorizo is damned greasy… but chorizo tends to be a really greasy sausage… and, at these prices, I’m not expecting to have that grease siphoned out. The burrito isn’t really a burrito… just a folded over, super-stuffed soft tortilla. Still, it was decent. The crunchy tacos are good… but don’t order the chili one for delivery. Get that with a soft shell. But the steak hard taco??? AWESOME! That kind of flavor at that price? yes, Sir! Hearty supply of sour cream, when you order on the side. Same with the guac… but the guac was no bueno. Delivery took half the time quoted, and everything was individually packaged. I was a happy man, when all was said and done.

This food was terrifying… Ordered the chorizo salad and steak and chicken quesadillas… Chorizo salad, bleh, what a grease bomb and for some reason, mine had pickles in it, yes, fucking pickles. How is it possible a Mexican food place has pickles in stock? Apparently, this one is run by Asian guys so it’s def not authentic… 5 stars for how gross the food was and oh so boring ;/dear salsa they have in stock, I hate you. Lol… Staff works hard, they are very nice blah blah…

I just ordered form here tonight and have tried them before. Nothing really special. Standard tex-mex food. The price is cheap and the portion size is good. Tonight I had a chicken burrito and a chili taco, which together was under $ 9. There isn’t much flavor but I can’t complain for the price. I also wish they would do something about the décor of the place. It’s just a big open box. But, again, for the price I guess I can’t complain!

Rice and beans are pretty good. Chorizo is oily enough to grease every noisy door hinge in Queens.

I grabbed the menu for this when I visited the Nesva Hotel back in July. There used to be a Fresco Tortilla on 30th Avenue but it closed years ago. When I saw the familiar cactus and name, I was thrilled. Anyway, I have been ordering from this outpost for about 3 weeks… the food is fresh and simple, inexpensive, they get the order right every time and it gets here supernaturally quickly! Getting ready to tuck into some chicken tacos and guacamole as soon as I hit the«post» key!

Good Things: There’s dozens of these Chinese run Fresco places throughout NYC, it’s kind of like an underground franchise. The earliest ones popped up around 1990. This one follows usual format. Ridiculously fast preparation(cook will be slicing your steak like a mad man as soon as the words come out of your mouth), predictable menu(it’s like 150 items, but really only 15 items made 10 slightly different ways), hard working no-nonsense staff. If you’re hungry and don’t want to wait, you’ll do OK with the chicken, steak or beans options. They do seem to season their chicken quite nicely. Needs Improvement: My biggest gripe is the horrid excuse for salsa they use. It’s just watery red-colored sauce that sucks. I’ve tried telling them just replacing that with anything would be better and make me want to order chips. They don’t seem to care. As it is now, I purposely don’t pour that on my food, it’s just so bad. I don’t know where they buy it from, but it’s cheap and crappy. If they had decent salsa, I’d be more inclined to eat this place more than once a month. Also, new residents to the area should know you can get better and more authentic Mexican food a stone’s throw away. The oddly named New York Bagel place a store over is really a Mexican joint with good tortas and hit or miss buffet style dishes. Even better is if the Azteca cart is parked under the subway. Azteca is so Mexican you can pay in pesos if you want.
