I recently came across this hidden gem in Astoria. Copacabana offers authentic Brazilian Food. The skirt steak is really good. I also had the ribs which were too salty for my liking. I asked the employee and she stated Brazilian Ribs tend to be salty. The sides are served buffet style and charged by the pound. Copacabana has really reasonable prices and you control your portion and your price essentially. Staff are very friendly

Food is great and most employees are very nice and courteous, except the cashier, who is actually quite rude. I have been seen him before and dealt with it. But today I am very turned off at the rude and obnoxious attitude. I have contemplated getting food somewhere else since this is definitely not the only Brazilian spot in Astoria. So this is the rude teenager(or someone who definitely acted that immature) who worked on 6÷6÷2016 at 7PM. The gentleman by the grill and the other young employee working the floor were very courteous and helpful. I am however quite turned off by this one employee who acts like he’s doing his customers a favor by allowing to dine in his boss’s business. After a long day at work, the last I want to do while getting dinner for my family is to deal with someone who can’t keep it together at work.

Good Brazilian fare, all you can eat is what the site say but its actually all you can get and pay by the pound. Its still is pretty good food. They have roast pork, duck, beef, chicken, lamb and different sausages.

5 stars and more for this place if that was possible! It is a Brazilian buffet style restaurant. You wait on line and you get a plate and it’s buffet style. They have vegetables, meats, plantains, and also on the far left is the grilled meat section. It’s fairly cheap and a quick bite to eat. The staff here are all friendly.

This is my go to spot for Brazilian BBQ. Very nice assortment of food in the buffet itself. However, the best part obviously is the meat on skewers behind the counter. My favorites are the steak, short ribs as well as the spicy sausages. Be careful though as it is very easy to weigh down your plate and pay more than what you had originally budgeted for lunch! Great desserts as well although I am usually too stuffed to enjoy them.

The best, I have cravings for this place. Traditional Brazilian cuisine — not a date night spot, but pretty well good for everything else!

The food is very good! It’s not fancy at all! It’s like what a Brazilian family would eat on a relight day! It’s very yummy! And everybody on this place is so nice! I go with my kids EVERYTIME we are near by.

Buffet style food paid by the pound I would highly recommend just getting the meat from behind the counter where the man cuts it for you… the meat in the tray is not as good The beef is slightly rare but amazing. Chicken sausage is amazing. Chicken heart is a must try. The pork was a bit dry. Get lots of meat!!!

Total disappointment after Villa Brazil Café Grill. The meat server had an attitude and the meat was overcooked and way too salty — like your friends played a prank and salted your food while you looked away salty. I went at 8:00PM on a Sat night and there were limited selections of meat. Yes, you can get a lot of meat for cheap, but it’ll prob even out with the money you pay for your hypertension medications a few years down the line.

If you are in Astoria and need a place to eat lunch the slow roasted meats are really good. Its a delicious quick buffet lunch for a midday eats

Do not be fooled by its outer lackluster appearance. Mountains of meat await you inside. It’s no-frills efficient buffet-line style. I tried a little bit of everything. Don’t forget the delicious fried plantains and try the brazilian drinks over your standard soda fare. Also, cheap and great portions. You will never leave hungry. This is a place I would go to after watching a late, long movie with friends and we are starving for something to eat in the area. Get in, pile your plate, stuff your face, get out.

I only tried the churrasco(bbq). I had a piece of the spicy grilled steak and a chicken sausage. One thing’s for sure: The cook sure knows how to season meat. Delicious flavor on both. I wil definitely be back to try some more including the buffet.

I didn’t understand how a Churrasco buffet works. Basically you pick the meat that you want and the rest of your food cafeteria style and then pay for your meal by the pound. I wanted to try a bunch of the meats and my lunch came out to 20 bux. I had the sirloin, ribs, pork sausage, skirt steak. Everything was excellent except the skirt stake which was a bit dry. My favorite was the sirloin. The restaurant is a very casual place. Not someplace you would want to take a date. I also don’t get why the awning outside says this place has pizza?

Buffet style priced by weight! Outdated décor everything about this spot, gives you that iffy feel should I eat here or should I not. Steak served off the rack are good not the best, reasonable for the price. The buffet options on another note is trash, the quality & taste of the food just ain’t there. Everything is by weight, fill up your plate with only meats!!! That is my advice … Worst part the only Hot Sauce available, is some shitty aftermarket hot sauce! They need to step up there game.

A no frills approach to Brazilian BBQ, Copacabana gives you the animal protein of your choice without the bells and whistles of a steakhouse. It is a buffet but weighed by the pound at a rate of between $ 6-$ 8. The premise is simple: get in line, stack your plate, weight it, and pay in cash. Meat sweats to follow. The quality of the churrasco(skewered rotisserie style meats) is superb. Everything from the chicken /pork sausages to chicken wings and flank steak, seasoned well and with the kind of char that comes with BBQ. The sirloin deserves some extra kudos as it’s almost always cooked at medium rare and the juicy slices are so tasty. Of course, meat doesn’t completely dominate the buffet. Rice, be/ans, flan, salads, pastas and plantains are available and make for stellar accompanying sides. Throw in some extra change for a drink and one’s meal is complete. It should also be noted this is one of the best spots to dine alone. There is self seating and plenty of loners eating their customized plate of Brazilian fare. The place is a stone’s throw away from the 36th Ave stop on the N/Q and is the least pretentious spot on the block. Wishing Copacabana many years in Astoria, as I’ll be stopping by often.

I seriously love this place… Super low key, authentic, great buffet selection, AMAZING meats and totally affordable. I’m a big fan of Brazilian food and go to churrascarias a lot, but this is even better if you’re not in the mood for a big production and sit down table service. It’s one of those random places you would literally walk by on a daily basis and never think of going in unless you heard someone raving about it and decided to try it. Copacabana is not really close to where I live but I come here about 3 to 4 times a month whenever the meat cravings strike. And as an added bonus, the desserts are also delicious, especially the Brazilian flan and passion fruit mousse and tiny coconut balls that taste like they’ve been soaked in condensed milk. Yum!

Ok I still love Villa Brazil Grill but I gotta say this place has blown me away and dare I say my boyfriend(who is from Brazil) and I like it better. Been here twice now and will continue to come back. Copacabana like Villa Brazil Grill is buffet style and thus fairly cheap(I am usually full on about $ 7 – 8 of food). I can personally vouch for the deliciousness of the picanha, chicken hearts, and pork sausage. And somehow there is only ever maybe one person in front of me at the buffet which makes me a happy girl as I usually come here starving. And clearly they have guarana :). And likely equally important to the fact that this place serves up delicious food and quickly. It is really near the subway and it’s a much quicker trip from Manhattan! Run, don’t walk & thank me later.

My favorite place in NY for authentic Brazilian food. Its really as good as it gets so a super fresh and tasty buffet selection and a super delicious meat, including picanha — their specialty.
