Specialties
Southern fried chicken, biscuits, wood-fired dishes & regional cocktails.
History
Established in 2015.
While the excitement and diligence continues for Bareburger with global expansion, they have decided to roll up their sleeves and dip their hands into the world of southern comfort. With their new concept, Bareburger showcases the talents of their very own Tommy Sardo and Andrew Sarda, adding Sam Crocker and Erik Prokscha to the mix, to give you General Burnside Biscuits. Located in the heart of Astoria, Burnside, much like Bareburger, focuses on giving back to the community that raised its founders while celebrating local, organic sourcing. Burnside offers a new twist on the classic comfort foods. Fried chicken, biscuit breakfast sandwiches and wood-fired vegetables, all from a scratch-kitchen, are offered from a casual menu in a full service, beautifully designed, ambient atmosphere.
Meet the Manager
Tommy S.
Manager
Tommy, like his favorite animal, is mystic and cool and legendary (he thinks). The other thing Tommy and the Sperm Whale have in common is they both prefer not to wear shoes. When Bareburger Astoria first opened it’s doors, Tommy was hired as a server because he claimed to be capable of balancing 64 plates in one hand while doing the Macarena. Six years later, here he is, balancing 110 plates during the Cha-Cha Slide. (And heading the management of Burnside Biscuits). Cha Cha real smooth.
