My new favorite place for dessert in Astoria! So many flavors to choose from and they all taste like pure ice cream without all the fat and calories. The best flavor hands down is the sea salt caramel pretzel. Amazing–

I’ve had better, more variety at 16 handles. My problem with this particular establishment is that upon paying for my two cups of ice cream I give the man a $ 20. bill that had a cut at the bottom of it stated that it was a counterfeit bill. Just tell me that you will not accept a bill with a cut, but he would not state that of course because I’d walk out and he’d have to throw away the two cups that came to a total of $ 15. Don’t insult my intelligence!

One of the best Ice Cream shop in the city. Love to come in here .Here every staff is very much knowledgable on their work. Expensive but exceptional service.

Updating my review to four stars because as the proprietor pointed out, if you use fresh fruit it’s hard to find a variety of produce at this time of year. Where I live we don’t have that problem so much but I should have factored in the northern winter. So, three stars was too harsh.

It is dangerous to live so close to Fresk’o. Best frozen yogurt spot in all of Astoria in my opinion. Lots of toppings. some which you will not find in other places. Their frozen yogurt flavors are also on point. Love their salted caramel and yellow cake. Have to will myself not to walk in every time I walk by.

It just seems wrong to give a place that I go to so often any less than 5 stars. It is a struggle to not come here every day. The prices are good, although I wish they had them posted somewhere. I also have the frequent user card, and I got a free froyo ok my birthday!
The topping bar is well stocked with standard and seasonal items. The froyo selection is really good, and they introduce new flavors every few months or so, probably to keep heavy users like me happy.
Just go here. You won’t regret it.

You’ll see me at this place with 30% frozen yogurt and 70% toppings in my cup. Best Nutella crunch topping I have ever tasted and as far as all the other toppings everything is fresh and top quality. One of the best, if not THE best frozen yogurt spot in Astoria

Ever since I tried full fat frozen yogurt in Spain, I have been searching for the original flavor (it tends to be called «euro tart» here), full fat at any froyo place. Sadly, it seems like fat free/​low fat is a persistent and only option in the U.S. Fresko’s original flavor comes a bit closer to my ideal and it is creamier that many other froyo places in Astoria. Most importantly, their sweetness is not overbearing.
The toppings counter is always well maintained and provides a very wide variety of choices. The staff don’t look they hate their job and are pleasant.
I do notice that their décor is less on the Candyland slash unicorn bubble side, which I appreciate. I don’t need to feel like a kid every time I indulge. But damn, those huge nutella jars, I want to hug one…

My 3 star is because I think it’s incredibly overpriced. I don’t think it’s set up for the customer to understand how much they’ll end up spending ON YOGURT! With only one size cup to choose from it felt like a trick when we got the the counter. Even the counter girl said «I bet you never thought you’d pay that much for frozen yogurt!» My husband and I didn’t even fill our cups and it was over $ 19.00!!! For frozen yogurt! LOL! Hysterical. That’s how much it cost us for two burrito plates WITH rice and beans. That’s how much two awesome books are on Amazon that last a life. The yogurt is really good. No lie. But I felt a little ripped off and cheated. Their yogurt is really good but not worth how expensive it is.

But please allow me to explain our price per once is the SAME as the two other fro yo shops in the area. Having said that we have costumers that have spend $ 3 a cup to $ 21 a cup. Both using the SAME size cup.

I like froyo A LOT… sometimes I even LOVE it, but unless I’m in the mood for it I can sometimes be indifferent towards it because I generally prefer savory things to sweet. But one day after doing brunch with Ingrid S. she has a craving for coffee and also needed to use the restroom. As we were looking for a place to satisfy both issues, I saw Fresk’o out of the corner of my eye and declared that they had iced coffee.
We crossed the street, peeked inside and I saw that their iced coffee was reasonably priced… it’s also not hard to convince Ingrid to enter a froyo place… I need to be more in the mood… but I was just curious about this place and wanted to try a few samples… I didn’t want a lot of froyo… I swear…
Upon entering we asked about samples and the guy that worked there got some sample cups and walked us over to the self-​serve froyo machines… not gonna lie, this annoyed me greatly. I’m used to just being given a sample cup and being allowed free-​reign to go on a froyo culinary journey… but okay. This isn’t 16 Handles and they felt the need to make sure we were supervised :-/​. At least he was friendly.
So I sampled the following flavors: Nutella, Yellow Birthday Cake and Cookies n’ Cream. I was pretty much blown away by all of them. Fresk’o is lucky their employee was super vigilant because I was tempted to pretty much standing under one of their froyo nozzles with my mouth open and having a Homer Simpson moment…
Less than like 5 minutes later I was holding a delightfully curated cup with the following froyo flavors: Nutella, Yellow Birthday Cake, Cookies n’ Cream, Mint Chocolate Chip and Sea Salted Caramel (I didn’t even sample that one originally, but at this point I trusted them and yes, it was FANTASTIC!).
This doesn’t even include toppings — they have EVERYTHING, E V E R Y T H I N G that one could ever want to put on their froyo… I opted for a WHOLE KIT KAT PIECE, chocolate chip cookie dough balls, chocolate brownie chunks, graham cracker crumbs, Oreo Cookie Chunks, Nutella crunch drizzle, a tiny but of melted white chocolate drizzle, a hint of caramel, mint chocolate chips and a healthy splash of rainbow sprinkles to round it all out.
We also signed up for Fresk’o membership cards for 10% off each purchase and free Froyo on my birthday (which I missed out on because yanno, life). This was seriously the best Froyo I had ever had in my life. L I F E.
Stay away from here because I want all the froyo. All the froyo: P.*

Fresk’o is like the gods of frozen yogurts. They have this devil and angel «Get Frisky» theme going on. I can’t really associate fro-​yo with an adult theme but if it prevents more children from running around like in 16 Handles or Yogurtland, you already have me hooked. GET FRESKY. Seriously, it’s their slogan. The yogurt is a combination of both greek and traditional frozen yogurt. It’s sweet but not as sickening sweet as 16 Handles but creamy as hell. The first time I had it with Steph we both were so enamoured that we signed up for their membership cards. Its like a credit card but not with accumulating points as to how much fro-​yo you consume and contributing those points towards future discounts to eat more fro-​yo.
My favorite flavors were the nutella and yellow cake batter. But they also had other amazing flavors: sea salt caramel pretzel, cookies & cream, belgian chocolate, New York cheese cake, and mint chocolate chip, along with vanilla and a variety of sorbet yogurts and fruitier options.
Toppings went on forever. Kit-​kat bars, reeses cups, mint chocolate shavings, the nutella goo with the crunchy stuff in it, everything. This place is seriously my favorite new frozen yogurt find and I thought I was done with ice cream for awhile. Pats belly. I would also like to note that this initially started with my having to make an emergency restroom stop.

Great froyo, great place, and great people! The owner Gus is a sweetheart and his staff is more than accommodating with trying flavors! The selection of froyo is better than places I’ve been, and they make their own. Centrally located to a lot of great places in Astoria, walk in a grab a post brunch treat like we did :)
Coffee on tap? Added bonus.

The best frozen yogurt ever, the Greek Yogurt and Espresso are excellent quality flavors. I’ve had 3 this week and they’re motto is right «once a day just isn’t enough.»
Clean, clean, clean, great attitude amongst the owners & crew. Watched upbeat employees deftly assist an exuberant class of 30+ 5−6^th graders. Has comfortable seating outside. freskos has fantastic toppings healthy and absolutely sinful! My fav is the fudge crisp that makes hard coating!!!

Perfection in a cup! I can’t believe I used to walk past this place everyday like it was nothing. From the outside, it looks like your typical over-​hyped froyo place. However, it is DELICIOUS! I typically only eat the «tart» favor when I get froyo because I don’t like overly sweet/​sugary
flavors. Not here!
I had the strawberry-​kiwi, cookies & cream, and espresso. All were amazing. The cookies and cream is a must-​try and pairs perfectly with crushed oreo cookies as a topping. The espresso is subtle, yet tasty. I could easily eat a whole cup and not be overwhelmed by the sweetness. As a topping I used the honey walnuts (literally walnuts soaking in honey). Just note that it is a little pricey and you can easily walk out with a $ 7 – 8 cup.
They offer pints for $ 4.99 which is great if you are hooked on a single flavor! The pints are 12oz, so you end up saving a bit of money that way. I also noticed they had dividers for the cup to keep your flavors separate — genius. **Make sure to ask for a sample cup when you walk in.

I feel like I’m cheating on 16 handles but I was right there and we gave it a shot. The last time I checked out the flavors they seemed too healthy, this time time they had better options but the mint was the best of all that I tried. Still like 16h better.

Excellent flavor sorbets and frozen yogurts. Very clean place. And above all the best location.
We tried mixed berry sorbet and cookie n cream (both are our’s all time favorite.

I’ve had a lot of frozen yogurt and of all places I’ve tried, Fresk’o is the one of the few to blow my mind. The outside looks like an overrated overly decorated neon-​colored generic frozen yogurt place, but trust me, this stuff is delicious!
Make sure you ask for sample cups so you can try the yummy flavors and offerings. Prices are something like 49 cents an ounce for froyo — pretty average.
Flavors you HAVE to get — watermelon sorbet and cake batter. The watermelon sorbet isn’t what you’d think it is — it’s not too crazy sugary and the consistency is just like a soft sorbet and not icy at all. it’s also not too tangy. Perfect if you want something refreshing. If you’re looking for something creamy, the cake batter is where it’s at. It’s smooth, creamy, not too rich, and tastes just like vanilla cake batter… mmmm.
This is probably one of the few frozen yogurts that I’ve had after a dinner that doesn’t make me feel sick from the sugar or from being too heavy — YUM!

Came here with 2 people and there were no lines. Overall it’s a great place. It’s clean and tasty. One thing they let you do is to try the various flavors they have but they get it for you. I guess they don’t want you to try too much. It’s probably not that costly if they just let people taste test on their own. Oh wells.
We tried the regular flavor, pistachio, and nutella. Nutella didn’t really taste like nutella. Tasted more like chocolate chip. The other flavors were great! They do have lots of toppings, which is great. We didn’t try the greek yogurt so I can’t comment on that but At least to me, in their frozen yogurt, I can taste some of the bacterial cultures. Don’t know if they use live and active cultures but I would say it is present in some unknown amount. Another plus about this place is that the yogurt is not that sweet. I think that’s great as most places are too sweet.
I think this store is a great addition to the neighborhood and would definitely recommend it. They do have outside seating and it’s a great way to pass time while enjoying your yogurt.
