Description

Specialties

The food is simple and the service sweet at the Brick Café,

where locals rave about the brunch and the sidewalk tables

are mobbed come summer. With its chunky wood tables,

reclaimed flooring, and farm bric-à-brac, the interior will

transport you straight back to that little restaurant you can

never remember the name of in Montmarte.

History

Established in 1999.

«Rustic, chic it could be called, the way Brick Café is made of the construction materials of old iron, brick and heavy wood. Candles and Moroccan lamps provide the perfect romantic glow, and the huge windows open the entire front to the street, overlooking sidewalk seating on this tranquil, tree-lined street. Elevated lounge sections give the place incredible warmth and depth but the crowd is what makes it unique. The Café feels European in every sense, from the mixed ages to the variety of languages heard… People may be drinking coffee or liquor, casually dressed or decked out, but no one seems out of place among the flickering glow and liquid cool music that ranges from house to Serge Gainsbourg.»
