The best place ever, really. Loveday is one of the best spots in New York City. In here you will find an amazing curation of beautiful clothes that just flow together seamlessly. It’s a very rare gem.
Another gem is the owner, Ivona. Ivona is a prime example of an independent owner. She is hardworking, honest, and a serious joy to be around. I remember once I was about to make a rush purchase on a green patent bag and Ivona told me to step away and think about it. She knew me better than I knew myself!
I’ve been a customer for 2 years and will carry on the tradition for as long as she’ll have me. Seriously, so glad she opened up shop and set an example for great vintage taste and overall badassery. The prices are pretty reasonable especially in comparison to high end vintage boutiques in Manhattan or Brooklyn.
In conclusion, Ivona is the best and Loveday is a perfect portal of fabric magic.

Agree with the positive ratings. This is a great spot with very reasonable prices. The owner was delightful and extremely knowledgeable about vintage clothing styles. I was impressed with the sunglasses collection and jewelry. When I am back in the area, I will definitely stop in!

Today I finally got to stop in to LoveDay and boy did it make my day. It was raining cats and dogs but it had been on my personal bucket list and my Unilocal bookmarked list for far too long so I had to go!
As I walked in I felt like a kid in a candy shop. I placed my drenched umbrella down. My eyes widened at the different colors and styles of clothing, the wall of funky and trendy jewelry, and the classic but fun ladies shoes dancing in a circle in the middle of the store. This is going to be a treat.
I had been shopping with the intent of getting a dress for my fiancé’s birthday this week. I draped a few items across my arms and headed for the dressing room.
This dress. Fit. Like a. Glove.
Ok yes, I’m a slim chick in my mid 20’s but I can’t rock just any dress on the rack. Awkward body? Little belly? Not curvy enough?
I don’t know but this little black dress with scrunched material did something for me.
The owner (who i didn’t know was the owner at the time) was fantastic to «shop with» and gave great advice. I felt like I was in there with a gal pal.
I picked up this studded neck line necklace and I was instant glam. It felt good!
I purchased my items with a huge grin and also got a little peplum pinstriped tube top that I can’t wait to wear during my next summer day event.

I really appreciate that this thrift boutique-​like store is small. It’s not as overwhelming as other larger thrift stores. The owner is so nice and friendly, she says she curates everything. Most things seem to range to me between $ 30 – 45. I’ve found two or three really great designer pieces! If you’re in the neighborhood, I’d recommend popping in to see what she has. She’s always getting new items!

I have been shopping at Love Day from the minute they opened before I even opened my own shop. It was refreshing to see a boutique with that Downtown/​LES vintage style that I was used to shopping at without the city prices and in Astoria before anyone else was here! Every time I need a specific color summer dress or inpsiration for a night on the town, I find it. I also love how she takes vintage dresses and reworks them to be relevant to the trends now. All the fashionistas go to spot, ans no longer a secret!

I agree with the reviews about how the prices are rather steep for what they offer.
So, this store totally doesn’t carry my style of clothing. They are the boho/​hipster/​80s look type of store. I found one or two item maybe that I was like gosh* so nice but I knew. KNEW. I could find a similar item brand new at Bloomingdales and coupon the shit out of it for a similar price. Otherwise some of the clothing do have obvious signs of wear. Sizes are generally medium/​size 6. Jewelry selection is quite unique. But some items like a simple fashion ring… I rather pay $ 5 at forever 21.
Okay, so I’m saying here I rather shop at major retailers and look like everyone else thus defeating the point of this vintage shop. Lol I just don’t think the value is good here. It’s cheaper quality clothes for near premium prices, albeit cool I suppose.

I just bought two items from this place. The owner is a lovely woman. And the place is very cutely decorated. It’s not a huge store, but you can tell that each item is carefully chosen. What a gem in Astoria!

I have been following Loveday 31’s facebook page and was intrigued to go with all the adorable outfits the owner posts! It’s a small store but I find the selection impeccable and super adorable. I’ve been here twice now and each time I’ve found at least two things I want to take home and wear right away. There’s a sale rack outside with tons of cute things. In fact, the items I’ve taken home came from the sale rack. I also love that she put a bench outside her store. The prices range from high 30s to 50s for pieces but they are worth the price with the quality in cloth and the style. The owner is super nice! It’s a pleasure shopping wish-​just wish there was more clothing!

Great, wonderful selection of clothes, I love it. I bought so many things here and loved it and received compliments on it. I do think that the stuff is a bit overpriced at times, depends on what you buy and that’s the only reason I cannot give it a 5. Selection is great, this is truly a gem.

Best vintage store ever! I only made it over here twice in the past 2 years, but I spend good money when I do. Everything is sooo affordable and one-​of-​a-​kind! Vintage Ungaro skirt Made in Italy? Yes Please! Beautiful handmade-​quality wool dress? Yuh-​huh! Gorgeous jewels and coats reminiscent of How to Marry a Millionaire and other classic films of yore? Fabulous darling. And the proprietress of the store is very friendly and fun to chat with, and will help you come up with unique styling ideas.

Super cute little vintage boutique. The lady who owns and runs this place has great taste and seems to be really helpful and nice. Two of my good friends SWEAR by this place. The shoes are especially cute.
Prices seem a liiiiiittle high for what it is.
Otherwise, definitely worth checking out. I’ll definitely be back for future party and cuteness needs.

It’s a tiny vintage shop, but you can find many beautiful party dresses, leather boots, heels, jewelry, and bags from the sixties and eighties. I love the clothes not the prices. It’s said that they have two 50% off sales a year? I want to know when. But for those one-​of-​a-​kind pieces, it won’t be there next time you’re there. pity.

A whole SECTION for SEQUINS?! I was in love before I made it to the jewelry collection.
The shopkeeper overheard my friend I talking about teaching, and we had a great conversation with her about education, and kids, and the like. She was so friendly and not at all pushy about shopping in the store. She even left us alone in the store for a few minutes while she checked the outside rack.
Prices were reasonable. Lots of designer items, also at reasonable prices.
The real scores are in the jewelry collection. Vintage items that are still on trend, and pieces that scream one of a kind. I will be returning for some great gift shopping ideas.

Tiny shop in a convenient spot. The items are all in great condition and have been thoughtfully chosen. I don’t think I would call this a thrift shop per se; it is more of a vintage shop. There is a good variety of dressier items and shoes and jewelry – I actually found a ring that fit my size 4.5 finger! Handbags and accessories line the walls. The owner has really made a lot out of a tiny space and has utilized every surface imaginable while keeping the store free of clutter.

This place is flipping fantastic. I’m writing this review coming off of a total shopping high at Loveday 31. I bought a beautiful Marc Jacobs dress in mint condition for a reasonable $ 60 — what’s not to love? Ok, more about the store and overall experience…
Loveday is situated on 31^st avenue, across from the bustling Bareburger and Brick Café. It’s a teeny tiny boutique that specializes in vintage clothing and accessories. The owner is smart, as she always has a rack outside with items under $ 20, which draws you in, and subsequently draws you into the store. I tend to stop in on the weekends to browse when I’m running errands, or on my way back from brunch. Though there are quite a few things that aren’t my taste (I don’t like polyester or sequins that much), there are tons of great pieces to be found if you don’t mind digging. Compared to vintage boutiques in the city, everything is a bargin here. There are amazing designer accessories (shoes and handbags) from Gucci, Christian Dior, and tons of other swanky names. I find the owner to be great — friendly but not pushy.

I ended up getting both my maid of honor dress and rehearsal dinner dress for my sister’s wedding here, and got a million compliments about how unique, but still stylish and trendy, these pieces were. That is a good description of all the stuff in this darling little store, which you the feeling has all been very carefully selected with a judicious and fashionable eye. I wear a size 2 and I’d say most things were around size 6 – 8, but I still found plenty of things to try on during my two visits. One of the dresses I bought had a strange piece of draping on it I wasn’t thrilled with, but the owner of the store gave me a discount AND recommended a tailor for me. I took her recommendation and they did a fabulous job!
The other thing I have to mention is that I would happily own all the jewelry in this store. It reminds me of sitting with my Nana and going through her jewelry armoire with her and finding all these fabulous, crazy pieces she had collected as a young woman. It’s like a treasure trove of originals in this little shop.
When I thrift shop at places like the Salvation Army I usually end up throwing the stuff I got back in bags to donate again a few months later. Though you pay a bit more at Loveday, you will find yourself treasuring what you bought just as this store owner has done with her collection for sale.

This is one of the stores I walk into once and never again. Im a big thrift shopper, I go to all the local ones in astoria and have traveled to williamsburg and park slope to find others. I walked into Loveday31 to find something that suited my style, and I did. The problem was the price tag, which for the area, is ridiculously overpriced.
The first thing I spotted when I walked in were the Jazz heels. These are leather dancing shoes imported from Spain. I know because I bought a pair from Broadway Thrift a few blocks down for $ 6.99. Here they were going for 40 $.
The selection was good, and the atmosphere was pleasant, and the clerk was very helpful, only I wish the prices were more reasonable. I recommend Broadway Thrift, Ditmars Thrift, and the huge salvation army store on Stienway if you live in Astoria and are looking for a REAL deal on vintage/​used clothing.

An excellent selection of vintage clothing, shoes and accessories, Loveday is the kind of shop you seek out for special, one of a kind pieces, from cocktail rings and sequin sheath dresses, to blueberry tinted heels and envelope purses.
Here, you won’t those run-​of-​the-​mill styles posing as originals, no Old Navy or last season’s H&M. This is a true vintage shop, thus reflecting the prices accordingly. While some is admittedly more than I’d like to pay, I do always have the option of a local thrift store if cheaper prices is really what I am after in my shopping experience.
The entire collection is beautifully edited and selected, with a substantial selection of boots, belts and bags in moderate to more expensive price ranges, all in excellent condition.
