Best Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory there is! Best candy/​chocolate store really!!! Any Carmel apple you get is delicious and the Avalanche mmmmmmm!!! Oh and the hot chocolate!!! Amazing! I’ve been to many other Rocky Mountains as I’ve moved throughout the years trying to get my chocolate fix and none of them compare to the RMCF in Ashland Or!

Really cool spot. The young girls behind counter were great. I had dark chocolate and it was yuuuummmm. Really neat spot. The look is great as well. Definitely visit and eat your ice cream as you walk to the creek, its so beautiful and relaxing.

Just stop in and got their «caramelish» oh my god the best thing ever. Love this shop.

Worst candy-​store candy I’ve ever had! Came in here for the first time with a friend recently and purchased two mocha truffles, a piece of cookies and crème bark, and a piece of oreo fudge. So disappointing I could barely eat it! The truffles must have been marked incorrectly. They tasted more like some unidentifiable fruit than anything like mocha. Not tasty at all. The cookies and crème bark tastes like pure sugar and is literally too hard sweet to eat and actually enjoy. The oreo fudge was old and tasteless. I know it was old because I’ve made my own oreo fudge before twice and it tasted much better and fresher, and did not crumble like Rocky Mountain’s did. I don’t think fudge is supposed to crumble! Tasted dried and chalky and once again, way too sugary even by sweets-​shop standards. The girl at the counter Ellie, was also not too friendly. Never cracked a smile. Spent most of her time frowning at my friend who, for some reason, frequents the store quite regularly. You’d think a loyal customer would at least get a warner greeting…
Not sure how this place is still in business. Such a terrible experience I will NEVER come back again.

Like an earlier reviewer said, this place has awful customer service. My sister has a nut allergy and asked if a nut-​free candy apple would be okay to eat. The staff immediately got rude and defensive and the guy she asked just kept interrupting and repeating the same legal disclaimer over and over and over again (I’m talking like 7 times) when she tried to ask specific questions (i.e., how ingredients are stored, if they have anything nut-​allergy safe, how the apples are made) but he wouldn’t even let her ask one question and was rude to her about it. It’s like, we get it, we’re not going to sue you, can you please just give us some information so my sister can make a safe decision? It was clear they cared more about an allergic reaction lawsuit than the actual safety or happiness of their customers. Lame. You’d think a place like this would be used to allergy questions. We left feeling frustrated and disrespected. For the record, she ate the candy apple and was fine. It just would have been nice if they could have provided a little bit of info, it’s not as though we were asking them to tell her it’s totally okay and risk-​free to eat the apple. 2 stars just because the sweets are really tasty but I’d avoid this place from now on.

The Ultimate Hot Chocolate? Delish. Upon my arrival, I asked the cashier what made the hot chocolate ultimate versus the regular hot chocolate (I mean come on, if I’m going to pay 55¢ more for a drink, I might as well know what’s in it!) To my delight, she proceeded to tell me the Ultimate Hot Chocolate was made with actual melted milk chocolate. I watched her prepare this, and was slightly disappointed to see it not filled up to the top, because she left space for whipped cream. I paid my 3.95 (no sales tax– a plus coming from California!) and took my first sip. Wowee! I have NEVER had such luscious hot chocolate in my life. It was truly a beautiful sensation. When I had reached the end of my drink, I found a melted chocolate Carmel at the bottom of my cup– a testament to how authentic this drink was! I was truly pleased with my experience this morning.
However, I had a rocky road Carmel apple yesterday, and although it was tasty and the apple was fresh, the outer layers did not live up to my expectations, so I leave this review with 4 stars.

This place is awesome. I go up there every summer to get chocolate and they never disappoint! They always try and give out samples and the costumer service is one of the best. Definitely a place to stop at if you’re visiting!

Their caramel apples are delicious but the people who work there need way better customer service. The girl who was working was extremely rude. We came in half an hour before it closed as she was cleaning and seemed super pissed that we went in. She wouldn’t even let us through the door because she was cleaning and blocked the entire door, so we waited patiently until she finally moved. We simply asked her if they were still open and she was very short and made no eye contact whatsoever. We did not even get greeted nicely.
As we were looking through to pick out what we wanted she rudely asked, «Do you know what you want?» Wow, thanks Rocky Mountain for the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. You need to find some better employees working the night shift or else people will never come back.

Delicious ! Me and Michael had the best freshest, fall flavored caramel apple cut up in slices so it’s easy to savor & chew! I love how wonderful it smells when you walk in the door. The staff is sweet just like their apples!

I’d give this place more stars but the kid behind the counter was rude. My boyfriend and I stopped in after lunch in Ashland for a sweet fix. There was another older couple inside and everything looked good. The kid working behind the counter offered the other couple some samples and ignored us. I browsed because I was looking for things to buy as souvenirs for my family. They had pumpkin fudge out on the case and I reached to grab a wrapped square to purchase and the kid snapped at me. So I decided not to buy more candy than my bf had already bought. Like I said candy was great, service was rude.

I thought it smelled a bit funny, but I have a very sensitive nose, so it may have just been in my head. My daughter loves this place, but mostly to go gawk at candy (which is weird). She usually ends up getting ice cream. The girl behind the counter was very sweet, and made me a delicious sugar-​free, nonfat, decaf vanilla latte without giving me the stinkeye. Bonus, they have doggie treats. Any place that considers my loverbutts (Luke and Cricket, AKA The Best Dogs In The World) is on my «Good» list.

Best Caramel apples ever!!!

It’s a chain and it’s OK. The service is nice too. However, if I were int own with my son, he’d be here for their chocolate and I’d be across the street at Mix. The generations would then meet at Lithia Park and enjoy our treats and the day together.

YUMMMY! Try the caramel apples, which you can have sliced if you want and the chocolate covered caramel marshmallow sandwiches. Sooooo yummmmy!

Yummy chocolate! The instant you step in here, the strong chocolate aroma takes you over =). It’s wonderfully intoxicating!
There were so many treats I wanted to take home with me, but I was good and had some will to resist. After a long hard deliberation, I decided on a bag of their dark chocolate covered hazelnuts… which was a great decision. I could take it on the road with me, and enjoy it over a long period of time!

If you like chocolate or decadent treats, don’t go here. You will find yourself unable to resist the fantastic candy held within these walls! Beware… beware…

I’m a sucker for this store, with the big stuffed bear out front and candy lurking inside… And who can resist black cat-​shaped licorice from Holland?
