The Atrium Salon

Lindy is THE BEST hairdresser, ever. She did a FANTASTIC job with my hair and it looks wonderul, i couldnt be more ecstactic! She is also so very nice and considerate. ¹⁰⁄₁₀! I finally found the perfect place to go!

Still relatively new to Asheville, I’ve been on the hunt for a good hair salon. I made an appointment at The Atrium Salon because it offers a pretty long list of services that I thought could work well for my sometimes «temperamental» hair and I was excited about the fact that they offer evening hours — good for those of us who work during the day and can’t get to the salon before 5pm.
My initial excitement about trying this new (to me) salon faded quickly because what should have been a pretty quick and simple cut (really, a trim) and color turned into a very unexpected, long night. I arrived at the salon at 5:30 — 15 minutes early for my appointment — and didn’t leave until 9pm! My stylist was apparently new to using the salon’s particular brand of foils and as a result put them in at a snail’s pace — like, the slowest of slow snails. I wish I could say it was worth it, but not really. My hair looked fine, and nothing was «wrong» with it when I left. But, the highlights I asked for — the ones that led to the exceedingly long foil application — are practically invisible. Definitely not worth a 3.5 hour appointment, being the last client to shut down a salon an hour past closing, and having to cancel dinner plans.
Atrium seems like the ideal salon for someone who has hours to kill and no better ideas for how to spend the extra time. I myself don’t have time for a return visit.

I absolutely love this place. They are very friendly, always clean and efficient. Krystal did an amazing job on my hair. I will definitely be coming back again and recommending to all my friends and family!!!

Crystal cut my hair and I have gotten countless compliments on it. She listened to my concerns and was just a delight to talk to. The salon itself is peaceful and pleasant. I had a great experience here and I would definitely recommend it.
