Springhill Suites Ashburn Dulles North

Rooms: Unique designs, comfortable and modern, very nice.
Customer Service: Second to none in my book, Chris at the front desk is professional, courteous and informative.
Overall: Great place, highly recommend!

My husband and I stayed here for a night away (even though we live super close) and it was cheap and super relaxing. The breakfast was awesome (can’t beat scrambled eggs, bacon, and make-​your-​own waffles) and the room was really nice.
The bed was comfortable and there was also a pull-​out bed in the sofa which would have been good for a bigger party.
It’s a newer hotel and you can just tell it’s newer. Even the lobby is more modern. I just really enjoyed the hotel and I found it very relaxing.
The only thing I found weird was the breakfast was in the lobby. Normally at hotels that have free breakfast there’s a separate room or at least some kind of divider between people checking out and people eating but here it’s pretty much all one area.
Overall it was a beautiful hotel and a very relaxing stay.

Stayed at this location as I was attending a meeting at the National Conference Center (about 4 miles away). The room was large, clean, comfortable. Shower was great (new), good breakfast choices and super little market for a quick snack or a beer ! The staff were very professional, friendly and helpful — I would definitely stay here again if have business in the area. Excellent stay. Thank you Marriott.

While affordable and convenient if you are a bathtub person this is not your place. Once we figured out that only the handicapped room had a bathtub we booked it for my 76 year old mom and I. The last night and last morning we had no hot water. Cool baths are not fun. Management and staff are very courteous, helpful and responsible but two days of cold baths is worth more than 50 dollars refund.

This hotel provides the best bang for the buck and I have stayed in far more costlier and less attractive hotels than this. The room design is chic and comforting, staff is very friendly and during our last visit they helped me change my room from king to double queen at no charge. I felt right at home when we stepped into this hotel and every time I visit VA I stay at this place. Also, their breakfast is awesome and saves me the hassle of looking for a nice breakfast place when I am in town. This is a must stay place for everyone going to Dulles.
Room Tip: Go for double queen bed room as it will give you larger restrooms and spacious feel.

Very good hotel. I stayed here less than 3 months ago but I don’t remember being unhappy with the bed in a different room. First this hotel is impeccably clean. I can’t find one flaw and I“m very fussy about hotel cleanliness. My one dislike was the bed this time. They have gone to a quasi bedspread that is very pretty but I’m not sure if it’s laundered every time a guest checks out because it is a spread. Before the beds were made with only the sheets so I knew they were laundered every time. That, and the bed wasn’t comfortable this time. Obviously it’s a different room from before so perhaps they’re upgrading the beds and mine just had not been upgraded yet. So 2 things to note, Springhill Suites… go back to only sheets on the bed and upgrade your mattresses. That said, it’s a very nice hotel and I would stay there again.

I stayed 19 days.
The good: The breakfast isn’t bad. Fresh fruit, a meat, scrambled eggs, cereal, breads. It is extremely undersized for the crowds they get on the weekends so don’t count on getting breakfast on those days. Other than what is mentioned below, the room was fairly clean. The mini fridge and microwave were nice. The staff was very nice.
The bad:
1. My room would not cool. I asked them to check it three times during my stay. The third time, I spoke with the manager. I was always promised that someone would check it. I was there only once when someone checked it. The room never did cool off and I never received any feedback on why my room wasn’t cooler. I sweltered a couple of nights and it was always stuffy in that room.
2. My couch had a big stain on it. I wouldn’t sit on it so it was of no use. The carpet also had lots of stains. I had a couple of bath towels that were worn out and stained.
3. There is no means to clean the exercise equipment in the workout room. It was sticky and filthy. The TV was out on the Exercise bike I used.
Things I didn’t bother to complain about: My room door would not close without me grabbing it and closing it by hand. I left the room and didn’t get the door closed a couple of times. Also, the wired internet didn’t work at all in my room.
The TVs have NFL network on the guide but there is no NFL network on the TV. Verified by the desk clerk.
It is absolutely inexcusable to let a customer complain 3 times and do nothing about it and not even acknowledge it back to the customer. This and the warm room earned them the one star.
I am on a long term work assignment in the area and already had reservations at this place for the next three weeks. I promptly canceled them this morning after checking out. They will not see me again.

Best Budget Place.
I stayed here for 2 weeks.
Breakfast is very good.
They have free WiFi, Gym, Parking, Laundry and small store.

Clean, large rooms, decent breakfast, really good shower, (nozzle height and pressure) snacks sold in the lobby, and we had a firm mattress.
The décor reminds you of the 70’s but otherwise this a nice place to stay if you are in the area.

Good breakfast, great toiletries very friendly, and very efficient housekeeping stuff. I requested for some extra toiletries and they were at my door in less than two minutes.
Side note: not sure why body lotions weren’t included in the daily housekeeping run, but they were always delivered whenever we asked for them.
Cons: The carpets could use some updating. The beds are some of the worst I’ve slept in any hotel. Both of us had terrible back aches after sleeping on them.

Modern. Clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Airport convenient. Safe and quiet location. Shuttle rides to/​from airport. Nice bright rooms with modern amenities. Great value for the money. Couldn’t have asked for more. The front desk staff all deserve high-​fives. After a miserable stay in another property a week prior, this place nearly brought me to tears (of joy). When you’re exhausted and traveling with small kids, it takes very little to make me happy. They all went above and beyond.

Great place! My hubby and I stayed here last year and loved it. This time, after the freak storm that hit the DC metro area our power was gone. A lot of local places were booked so we called the SS. We were put on a waiting list but they called us back with a room! It was wonderful, the room was comfortable, eco friendly, very hip layout. Plenty of parking. Continental breakfast was good, the staff was great. We are definitely coming here again! And the area was quiet, close to the Leesburg outlets and shops.

This was a one-​night stay, and it was exactly the same lobby layout as another Springhill Suites we stayed at in California a few years ago. That made it familiar to us. :-)
Desk clerks were friendly and accommodating. There’s a little ‘market’ right there where you can buy sundries and food items. (snacks and food to cook in your microwave in the room) Breakfast was a combination of the standard Continental style with added hot items such as eggs, sausage and waffles. Rooms were clean, and had a cool layout. I liked how the shower and a sink were in one sub-​room of the main room, and then a toilet and another sink were in another sub-​room. With three of us in the room, it made it easy to get ready without having to wait in line or walk all over each other. There are plenty of outlets in the room which has always been a problem in most hotels. And they host free wi-​fi.
All in all, we liked this hotel and would go back to it again.

much nicer than other SpringHill Suites properties in the area. The hotel was built a couple of years ago so it’s still fairly new. The rooms are huge!!! We stayed in their 2 queen-​bed suite when my family came to visit from overseas. The suite has 2 bathrooms (1 full, anther one just had a toilet and sink), a microwave & a small refridgerator, a dresser & a closet, a sofa bed (I believe all rooms come with one), a coffee table, and a desk. With all these amenities, the room had plenty of space to walk around without bumping into each other. When we stayed there second time, we were in an handicap room with 2 queen beds due to availability of regular 2 queen suite. This one has shower instead of tub which I liked. This suite is a bit bigger than regular so a wheelchair can move about freely.
They have very nice breakfast & seating area. Like other people said, this place is out of nowhere, so if you don’t have a car, you can’t do much. One Loudoun Center, which has Alamo Theather & bars and restaurants, across Loudoun County Parkway might resolve this issue. And also, they have free shuttle service to and from IAD airport, and around the area.

My family and I stayed at this Spring Hill Suites for 9 days while waiting for the moving truck bringing our household goods from a cross-​country move.
We stay at a LOT of Marriott properties. This place is like most other Spring Hill Suites with a few exceptions:
— The foyer /​entryway at the back of the building by the gym and the elevators STINKS to high heaven. There is an overpowering stench of stale cigarette smell in there. We typically liked to park in the back and walk right into the elevators, but we would all hold our breath while going through that aft entryway and opening the inside door with our room key. It was THAT disgusting!
— The first time I used the gym, they didn’t have any cups for the water dispenser and didn’t have any wipes to clean the equipment, but after I brought that to the attention of the front desk staff, they fixed both of those things.
— The door to the men’s restroom on the first floor outside the gym doesn’t lock. I discovered that by someone walking in on me the first day we were there, and a week later it still wasn’t fixed.
— During our long drive across country, I think my kids ate waffles EVERY day for breakfast because EVERY hotel had the waffle maker out as part of their free breakfast. Much to my kids’ dissatisfaction, this location ONLY put out the waffle maker for breakfast on weekends. We complained at the front desk and asked for it to be out for the rest of the week while we were there, but they didn’t listen to us.
— We brought our own pillows with us on the drive across country. We were surprised when the maid changed the sheets and stuff on the beds, she put our personal pillow cases (obviously not the hotels since they’re colored and striped) on hotel pillows and put hotel pillow cases on our personal pillows. What the heck???
I would start most Spring Hill Suites off at 3-​stars for A-​OK, but I docked this location 1-​star for the above mentioned reasons.

We enjoyed our stay here. Good breakfast. It’s complimentary and there’s eggs and sausage so what’s there to complain about? :) Came here for a wedding and the rates were very reasonable for what we got in return. Clean, decent rooms. My only complaint is they had shower stalls. By the time we got into the hotel it was late and quite frankly just didn’t feel like moving to a room with a bathtub, if they had any, b’c traveling with teeny toddler is a pain. The three nights we were there I had to hold my daughter while giving her a bath. Wasn’t fun but we got through it!

This is a really awesome hotel. Came here fro Christmas and the place was pretty empty. I wasn’t sure about the shower (no tub), but it was awesome. It was powerful and it sprayed out the from and from the top. Breakfast is great. The location is really prime. Rooms were huge and so amazing. The staff were so friendly very out going and go above and beyond.

Cheap and NO COMPLAINTS!
My boyfriend and I stayed here for a night after his work’s holiday party, which was at the Lansdowne Resort nearby. The Resort filled up quickly (he works at a major corporate accounting firm), and this hotel was the first overflow hotel, which his company provided free shuttles from and to for the event.
There was ample parking, free, good breakfast in the morning (waffle bar!!!), free Wifi, and very friendly/​helpful front desk staff. I needed a late checkout the next day because I was participating in a web conference call, and I got it without a problem, which was generous, since their normal checkout is already 12 PM.
The room itself was fantastic! Very spacious, very modern, and lots of space to put things. The couch is huge and so is the closet. The bathrooms are separated into toilet/​sink and shower/​sink, which was slightly odd, but also awesome.
We got this hotel for $ 79 on a Friday night on
, which was even cheaper than this discounted rate for the block of rooms through my boyfriend’s company. Granted, it is in the middle of nowhere, but if you have a car or are being shuttled, it is a great place to stay. I’d definitely stay again!
Extra perk: 5 pillows for each Queen bed. FIVE PILLOWS! If you’re a pillow nut like me, you’ll be sleeping on feather-​y bliss at this place.

Surprisingly, this hotel is actually quite modern.
It’s kind of in the middle of nowhere, but has a lovely lobby with feminine drapes and accents. The rooms are also adorned with soft lighting, colors and fabric.
That’s not to say that this hotel is luxurious at the least — it’s really not. There is still a dorm-​like feel to the rooms and the bathroom was really small, but for a moderately priced chain hotel, I was pleasantly surprised. (Obviously a 4 star for this does not make it comparable to a stay at a boutique hotel, but for it’s scale it’s not too shabby.)
What bumped my rating up from a 3 star to a 4 star however is the continental breakfast in the morning. It’s much more elaborate than I anticipated. Plenty of baked goods, pastries, eggs, juices, coffee, a waffle making station… and no crowds to fight with.
Plus, there is plenty of parking.
Which I guess should be expected when you’re in the middle of nowhere.

I have no complaints. I’m not a Marriott guy but I was locked in here for two amazing months in Leesburg/​Landsdowne (figure out if I’m being serious here), and had no complaints about the room or the staff.
Very friendly folks, allowed us to stay and inhabit their hotel, take over their grill and gas fire-​pit, and wreck innocent, adult havoc across the property. During my time here I had zero issues with the rooms, the staff, the food (though I tended to avoided eating breakfast as a rule), and the property.
The property is located in a newer section (developing) section of Loudoun County, so you’ll still spy skulks of foxes across the street in a yet-​to-​be developed field. You could do far worse for hotels in this part of the county. Ugh!
