First Priority

These guys are simply the best. I had a pipe burst in my basement due to the freezing cold temps in February. My basement carpet was quite soaked. I called First Priority as soon as I could and Dave sent a crew out the next morning to lift up the carpet, remove the soaked padding, apply anti-​microbial agents and put up massive fans to dry the carpet out. It took 3 days for the carpet to dry but his crew came out again as promised and removed the fans so that I could have a contractor come in and make the necessary repairs to the drywall, etc.
After the repairs were done, Dave and his crew came back out, thoroughly cleaned the carpet, and made sure everything was done to my satisfaction. He and his crew went out of their way to come and finish the project on a weekend, which was very much appreciated. The office is very responsive, and they make a concerted effort to keep you updated and answer any questions you have.
My bill was being covered by my homeowner’s insurance, but my insurance agent said that the rates were very reasonable for the work being done. All in all, highly recommended. I hope I never have to call them again, but I would not hesitate to do so if necessary.

Its been several years since the sump pump in my basement wasn’t able to keep up with 5″ of rain in 3 hours. Since I had a plane to catch the next day, I gave them access to the house and while I was out of town they did an excellent job! I considered myself lucky to come across Dave and his crew. Give them a call if you want your job done right.

These guys are excellent. Timely, professional, thorough, knowledgeable. Overall an excellent experience and would highly recommend to anyone else.

We have used David for mold remediation twice. Once 4 years ago after a dish washer slowly leaked all over the first floor and second recently after a slow toilette leak. He is fast to respond, works with your schedule, and even came over a weekend. Priced well and knows his stuff! Very happy with his work and would use him again. Hopefully we won’t ever have to!

First Priority was recommended to me by a friend and now I am recommending First Priority to anyone who uses Unilocal.Normally I only review restaurants but since Unilocal has expanded, I think anyone here looking for a contractor that takes care of water damage or mold… I highly recommend First Priority and David. Unfortunately I had flood damage and thought I could clean this myself. To make a long story short, My basement got a very bad case of mold damage months after I did my clean up. David came out and I put my faith and trust in him. He found areas behind baseboard where mold had spread as well as other areas. He took care of all the mold and I thought the price was fair for all the time that they put into this job. My wife and I also had First Priority come by a few weeks later to clean the upstairs carpets and the person that came did an awesome job on the carpets. And by the way (after reading another review), this was all paid for by credit card. Thanks!

My last landlord insisted that I use this carpet cleaning service when I moved out, so they must be doing something right. The website claims 24 hour service, though when I tried to confirm details at 1:30 am I received no answer. Not knocking them for it since I get the feeling it’s just Dave Novello and a small crew working for him, but seriously don’t describe your service as round the clock if it’s not. Also surprised to see the symbols for credit card payment options on the site since I was only offered the option to pay via check.
Pricing isn’t the best in the area, but I will admit his service was otherwise consistent. It was easy to schedule and get quoted (with the apartment layout, $ 145 for clean carpet, $ 165 for dirty). Payment and entry arrangements were easy to make to work around not being able to meet. He was upfront about being unable to estimate an exact appointment time on a busy day that I had picked, communicated his arrival on site, and emailed me the invoice at the end of the day as promised. Won’t be using their service again, mostly because I follow the stereotype of taking off my shoes in my own home. Like hayell I enjoy paying for a service I don’t need.
