I disagree with the previous assessment. If you have a dog that has absolutely no behavior problems, you may be ok. However, 2 years ago we adopted a rescue dog that has leash aggression problems with other dogs. i spoke with the trainer and was told sure go ahead and enroll her in class – they can help us with this problem.
We enrolled in the class and by week 6, we were kicked out because of the behavior problems they said they could help us with. Did not receive a refund or any previous warning that we could be kicked out of the class entirely.

In short, Sally Terroux is the best trainer you can have. Her whole operation integrates her dog training philosophy. If you train with her and work hard you will have a reliable and happy dog.

We first found Sally when we got our new pup. She offered us a free phone consultation (and many more after) while our pup was still too young to train. She devoted many hours of her time to us long before we even mentioned wanting to sign up for her classes. It was selfless, and, best of all, genuine and good advice. Now, a word of caution — Sally is wonderful in person and wonderful with dogs, but can sound a bit terse over the phone. We were a bit taken aback by her mannerisms, but could not have been happier with her help and the quality of her advice.
The classes themselves are excellent. Sally and her trainers train you, the new dog owner, just as much as they train your dog. While the classes are set in a group environment there is no lack of consideration for each and every person in class. There is plenty of work to be done at home, and even a graduation requirement, but if you put in the time and come to class prepared to learn you will be amazed at how much your puppy will learn.
Sally’s personal specialty is training show dogs. If you want your pup to be a perfectly mannered and perfect show dog she is the one you want to train with. This being said, she also trains for any kind of situation and any kind of dog ownership. She expects a lot from her dogs and their owners, and her training techniques achieve results. Even if you goal is something other than showing your dog (we simply want a well behaved pooch) this is the class for you. Above all, Sally teaches reliability, good behavior, and self control, which creates a harmonious environment for both pup and family. To put this into perspective, we’ve taught our dog a stay that can handle any situation, any amount of distraction, and any amount of time. Whether we’re cooking and want him out of our way, or in a busy parking lot and wanting to make sure that he doesn’t stray, one command will get him to faithfully wait for you, reliably, and in any situation.
Her kennel is only for dogs that have trained with her. You can board them or board and train them and they will continue to enforce their training and teach them new things. We had to leave for Christmas and when we came back they had taught our dog a reliable «come» as well as a whole series of hand signals which are an integral part of her upper-​level advanced courses.
Sally’s prices are on par with anyone else, and I guarantee that you will get more from a beginner class with her than from anyone else. We reviewed the PetSmart agenda (after taking her class) and realized that our puppy could already reliably do what would take 3 entire levels of class for them to teach. We couldn’t be happier to have found this trainer and we highly recommend her to anyone who is serious about having a loving reliable dog.
If you have a pup, call her right away and you won’t regret it. Some of you might be tempted to take a «puppy class» with someone else — I say, don’t bother. The advice she gives you over the phone will get you through the baby puppy phase and will prepare you to train your dog to its fullest potential.
