History

Established in 1995.

Shades Of Success is ran by a husband and wife team, Mike and Karrie. In 1995, we started painting apartments. After a few years of doing that, we realized the appreciation in our work was not in the fast paced apartment industry, it was in the residential community. Our company mainly does about 95% residential re-​dos and 5% light commercial painting. And about 90% of our business is done through word of mouth referrals. The other 10% is the phone book, BBB etc. We are also A+ members with the BBB and a member of the P.D.C.A.

Mike has loved painting from the time he started painting slot cars in Boy Scouts. Hislove for painting grew to painting cars in his uncles auto body shop in the late 80’s in N.M. Painting for years as a subcontractor in the early 90’s, Mike realized it was time to go out on his own when an apartment complex mentioned his boss was not calling back to do the work and he was going to loss their contract, the maintence guy said, if you start your own business you can have the contract. And that is where Shades Of Success Painting began and has been going strong for over 16 years.
