Arvada Appliance

I have been a customer of Arvada Appliance for almost 40 years — purchased washers and dryers; had repairs of these and kitchen appliances. The service has always been prompt; the repair people courteous and competent. Recently had to have a built-​in oven/​microwave unit repaired. It was a major task because the whole 200 lb. unit had to be removed. Two repair men had the job done in less than an hour. They were careful, thorough, and friendly. I highly recommend Arvada Appliance for purchasing appliances and receiving prompt and qualified service.
Anita was most helpful in supplying information to me about choices available for either repairing or replacing the unit. After making my decision, she ordered the part and let me know when to expect the repair men, and they arrived within the scheduled time frame.

Super pleased with our purchase (Speed Queen washer/​dryer) and with the installation. They did give us a time window for delivery/​installation and arrived several hours late. But, I can overlook that because they did a great job once they arrived!

Don’t use this company to fix anything. They are either incompetent or thieves. Had a freezer break down and called them. They charged me $ 58 and never even looked at the freezer. Said it was to cold in my heated shed to work. Called to complain and they said they would be out to check the appliance but never showed. Finally called someone else and it was a blown compressor. Maybe I’m happy they never showed up they would have tried to charge me $ 1000 to fix a $ 500 freezer. Go anywhere else!!!

I called this company to come out and look at my refrigerator that needed to be repaired. Let me start with the appointment phone call, I was passed around to a couple different people then when they called me back they hadn’t even written down my information so I told them what I was needing and the set the appointment for the following Monday from 11 – 2 because the give 3 hour appointment windows. Monday came and I had to work so I had my father come to my house at 10:30 just in case they were early (ha, ha, ha!!!) 2pm came around and I called to say what the heck and was informed that the tech was running late and would be there by 3. He showed up said we needed a new mother board, took payment and left. total of 20 min.
I had already spent the trip charge for this so I decided to continue with the repair. First appointment that was set no one showed up and no one called. They were very sorry and gave me 10% off. The next appointment was set and I waited all day for the tech to show up. I called extremely upset. I was told that the owner would call me and instead Scott called me. He was unbelievably rude to me. He told me that he had another tech available but that today was not an option and it would be another 3 hour window. I explained to him that was not acceptable that 3 days to get a refrigerator repair was horrible and the only reason I was calling them to use them was because I had already spent the trip charge and didn’t want to have to spend that somewhere else. He told me that in order to not have to deal with me he would just refund me my fee and we would be done! I had let the company know that I work in property management and could possibly send them a lot of business. I hope the owner reads this because this service his/​her employees gave cost them a lot of money! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

My in-​laws’ oven died with little warning. They were interested in purchasing an oven with a dual oven capacity, without getting the typical wall mounted double oven (no space). You know the type with a «pizza oven» style on top and larger oven below.
After reviewing units with consumer reports, they decided on the specific range they wanted. They priced the oven at various appliance stores, including the big box retailers. Arvada Appliance was nit only able to get it in sooner (by a week, sometimes 2), they undercut the price if big box retailers. Then, they delivered the range, set it up, and showed them how to use it. Delivery cost less and was better.
A year later, my oven’s thermostat burnt out. I called Arvada Appliance because if the positive experience from my in-​laws. They came next day, diagnosed the problem quickly, ordered the part, and had me working again in 3 days. Friendly, professional, and competitively priced. (I called around)
Now, my washing machine’s drain pump died. I called a parts store closer to my home (near Lowe’s in Westminster). They wanted $ 95 for a new pump (generic) and it would take a week to come in. I called Arvada Appliance, $ 52 for the part, and it came in the next day.
I recommend Arvada Appliance. My experience has been great, and they have been honest and professional the whole time.

We have several rental homes in the Arvada area and need repairs or replacements on appliances from time to time. With the 3 times we trusted these people, they told us one thing, and did another. it seems as though they believe their time is more important than ours. We are done with Arvada Appliance and certainly cannot recommend them.

I own a few houses that I have remodeled and have bought appliances for these homes from Arvada Appliance, but not again!
I called too get a quote on a whole new set of kitchen appliances, but never received a call back. So I tried again, because everyone makes mistakes, right? Again, two weeks went by without a call back!
I can’t imagine trying to keep my business afloat with this type of customer service…

I found these guys on craigslist because my refrigerator was not cooling. I had no idea what it was at the time.
They came out within an hour of calling, which is kind of amazing. The tech diagnosed the burnt out relay on the compressor rather quickly. I was quoted $ 275 with a story that it should be $ 325 but they got a deal on the part and were passing the discount on to the customer. Lucky me, right?
Once I agreed, he fixed it in under 20 minutes and was out.
I’ve since done a little research to find out the part is $ 30 for a manufacture’s part. He used a generic version. The going rate on what I’ve found is for this specific service is about $ 180 give or take $ 20.
I would not use these guys again and I suggest you find another.

When you walk in, you feel good knowing that they are not wasting money on rent or the showroom. You will get a better price.
But, then you are greeted by the guy wearing a T-​shirt and a slightly askew baseball cap. I am a very informal guy (I hate suits and ties, and I wear beat-​up Crocs), but this was really «low rent».
Their website has a photo of a Bosch washer, but they «only carry American brands. Not Bosch.»
They only carry low-​end brands and I would suggest that you avoid.
