First time here, thought it would be nice to stop by for some good ice cream before heading to the airport. They have a tuesday deal– two small scoops for $ 2.25, not bad not bad. We arrived around 9:40, and there was a short line. I ordered the black raspberry cheesecake and the graham canyon(graham base wth caramel and toffee bits) on a sugar cone. When I recieved order ITWASHALFMELTED. It DIDNOT look like those clean little scoops stacked atop eachother ready for a picture. Instead, my ice cream looked like it was slathered onto the cone, and it was already melting running down the sides of the cone. Yes I know it’s summer and summer nights are warm, but it most certainly did not look like my dad’s scoops, which were nice little picturesque half– circles(he got coffee toffee and mocha almond fudge btw). I had to walk back to the counter and get a cup to put my cone in so that it wouldn’t drop on the floor, also, the guy didnt even give me a spoon, so I had to sit in the car and eat my ice cream with my cone, which i fashioned into a scooping utensil on the way to the airport. This led to a sticky mess on my clothes and hands. As for flavor, the black raspberry cheesecake was terribly sweet and tasted nothing like a cheesecake whatsoever, though the black raspberry part tasted fine. The graham canyon was really good; a delicious graham cracker taste with caramel ribbons and big pieces of toffee. Unfortunately, that too, was terribly sweet. Overall I wouldnt come back because this location is just too far from home and the ice cream is wayyyy too sweet(my dad agreed as well). However, you can tell the ice cream is made fresh, and if I did come back, I would definitly get the graham canyon again.

I have nothing to say but YAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! I consider myself something of a SoCal ice cream connoisseur(read: ice cream snob) and Bruster’s is now one of my favorites. I’m actually surprised(and kind of sad) I haven’t found this place sooner. I love the vibe of Bruster’s. It’s similar to other brands like Handell’s — everything made in house that day … very fresh!!! I’m still dreaming about the Blackberry Chocolate Truffle and Chocolate Raspberry Chunk I had. They have tons of fun flavors(like Galaxy … still not sure what it is) … and they’re all soooo good. No seating inside, a few benches outside, but also perfect just to grab and go. The workers are very nice, so step up, try a few flavors and then enjoy!!! Stay Cheerful ;)

They have the best ice cream ever… very smooth. High quality ingredients and great variety of flavors. Today I got some oreo(which has crispy chunks of cookies… do you know how fresh the ice cream has to be for the cookies to still be crispy inside???). Also got some strawberry which is very refreshing.

Ahhhhhhh… Scream for BRUSTER’S(ice cream)!!! Today was a special day so came out to celebrate with Korean food and then saw that BRUSTER’S was across the street. Wanted dessert so we came here. There was a lot to take in! Flavors & sizes, Italian ice cream, waffle cones oh my! I couldn’t figure out what to get! there’s a lot of flavors and so much to learn about their homemade flavors. TRY them ALL! I’m coming back to try the rest of the flavors!

This place is awesome! They have the $ 2.25 special on Tuesday so it was crowded. The ice cream was just the right sweetness and creaminess. I got the green tea and banana cream pie. These flavors were amazing. I hope to return again.

Well. I’ve heard it’s from Eastern and famous ice cream shop. Many people are often in a long line. so you need patience. I had Death By Chocolate & Cherry Vanila & Strawberry in a regular cup. It was first time but nice try tho.

In the mood for some ice cream, we made a stop at Bruster’s. This is an ice cream store where you order at the window and they call your order when it’s ready. There is no indoor seating, just a few tables outside(not the best place to come on a cold night). Most people seem to get their orders to go. They have a nice selection of ice cream options including sorbets and fat free/sugar free. They make their ice cream in house so it’s fresh but super rich. Definitely ask for samples! Comparing Bruster’s to other ice cream stores, I was disappointed. 1) It’s overpriced: $ 3.65 for one TINY scoop of ice cream?! It’s better to get a pint for $ 5.15 and share with 1 – 2 people. 2) Inefficient and slow customer service: the young boy who works at night needs to stop talking to his friends at the counter and giving them samples when customers are waiting. The line system does not make sense and often the workers don’t know who is waiting to order versus waiting to get their ice cream. After waiting 10 minutes, we just went up to another window and said we need to order. Sorry Bruster’s, you’re nothing special especially with the high prices and poor customer service.

Since when did Handel’s Ice Cream get a copycat? If you don’t know what Handel’s Ice Cream is then you need to search for it online. I think there are only 2 locations in California — Redondo Beach and Ontario. So if you don’t live nearby, you may not have access to the greatness that is Handel’s. However, there now seems to be one exception. Bruster’s Ice Cream is literally a copycat of this ice cream. The flavors are almost the exact same(e.g. Graham Central Station) and have the exact same menu, except with fancier looking pictures. They both have a long list of possible flavors. They both have their own types of vanilla mix-in shakes like McDonald’s McFlurry’s. The prices and menu list is literally the same thing. Even the inside looks like Handel’s. But you know what? I’m not mad at it. Although it is the same, it’s nice to have more ice cream options. It may not be as great as Handel’s itself, it gets pretty close. Handel’s is somehow able to get the perfect texture that is hard to find elsewhere. Bruster’s though is a great option if you’re in the area and want some solid ice cream with lots of options.

First time trying this place. Pretty reasonably priced if you compare it to Baskin Robbins or Cold Stone. I got the small waffle cone which came with scoops of ice cream. I chose rocky road and their butter brickle(buttery salted caramel with toffee bits). Delicious!

Ok this place is pretty«cool» yeah I know but I couldn’t help myself. Anyways I bumped into this place by luck. So after eating dinner at TAMS I decided to give it a try. I must say that I wasn’t at all disappointed. Definitely gonna go back. Staff are very friendly and are willing to help you with any questions. Line can get pretty long so plan ahead.

Great Ice cream! I came here around 9:45pm on a Wednesday and the service was fast and good. I noticed people complaint about the line, but for my experience I didn’t have to wait at all. I really enjoyed the wide variety of desserts available. Order items: Cookie and crème Oreo sandwich. I was in the mood for an ice cream sandwich, so I went for the Oreo ice cream. Good size and cold delicious ice cream, so I couldn’t complaint. The only thing I dislike is the outdoor seating. I was there at 9:45pm, so it was very chilly. Parking is also an issue sometimes, we had to park on the side street. Overall, the dessert options are good and the price is reasonable.

Came here looking for real ice cream and got a brownie sundae which took away from the flavor of the ice cream. I’ll definitely get a waffle cone next time. Tried Graham Central Station and Monkey Madness. Graham central station was good with the graham flavored ice cream and bits of graham cracker crumble in it. Originally wanted to try Graham canyon but for some reason the cashier thought it was a good idea to talk me out of it. Graham canyon had bits of chocolacte covered something in it(almonds?) and it was good. Monkey madness was banana ice cream with peanut butter cups and it was good but not with the graham central station combo. I’ll stick to a waffle cone or bowl next time and the peanut butter banana ice cream didn’t mix well with the graham cracker ice cream so avoid that.

Happen to stumble upon this place on a Wednesday when picking up food from Polly’s. I saw the long line, about 15 people in line, and wondered what the heck was going on. «Bruster’s?! What’s that?» So I looked it up on Unilocal,«Oh, ice cream. Sweet! Well I’m not about to stand in that long line. I will check it out tomorrow.» «Whoa, I’m in ice cream heaven!» There is an extens I’ve list of flavors. Luckily we went during the early afternoon, when it wasn’t crowded. I guess the guy was able to decode the overwhelming expression on my face because he said, «would you like to sample some flavors?» Oh, he shouldn’t have told me that lol. I decided upon the brownie sundae. FYI: Tuesdays is $ 2 scoop ice cream. Wednesday is $ 3.49 waffle cone. They not only offer ice cream, but they offer sorbet, froyo, and sherbet. The ice cream flavors range from traditional flavors to more creative flavors. Since I live in the neighborhood, I guarantee the workers at Bruster’s will eventually know my name, as I will be there quite often.

I took my time and gave Bruster’s a fair, three visit opportunity before writing this. To start off with a sad pun, every time I come to Bruster’s I feel punked.(For those who are not familiar with 80’s TV, there was a show called Punky Brewster…) I digress, I see that Punky has been referenced far too much here already We came here when they very first opened up and I specifically remember getting my two scoop cup and tasting this freshly made treat for the first time. It was a chocolate peanut butter type ice cream so that I could«base-line» it to other places that I knew I liked. As you can probably tell, was just not impressed. The ice cream itself seems to have far to much air pumped into it to where it is closer to soft serve than what I would call ice cream. Flavors were not pronounced and were almost bland. Just meh. I mentioned texture above, when I came the second time I ordered the seasonal special only to find out they were sold out. Okay, no problem, I got the«crunch» version instead. I noticed during my first visit that there was not much within the ice cream and these scoops confirmed it. What I am feebly trying to write is that there was very little crunch or nuts or anything within the scoops. Thinking this could just be bad luck that I got scoops from a poorly mixed tub, but happened all three times so it’s confirmed in my head. Now about the line, I get that there is a single line that feeds the multiple windows there. Not a problem. I am willing to wait but when I see that on what has to be one of the most busy evenings of the week because of the special, it is not okay to have only two people working. Laughing, giggling I can get past that. Take your time to pick up the mic and thank everyone, nice touch. Cashiers take the money, get the samples then get the scoops. My opinion, very inefficient. Thinking they need to do some time studies there and segment the job duties. Waited in line far too long and would have rathered gone to a larger chain store and just pay the extra. Bruster’s is a place that I will go to if everyone else wants to go. Not my first choice, not nearly my last is it 2 or 3 stars then? I ended up giving it a 2 only because when thinking if I would rather have a scoop here for free or another that I would pay for and I choose the latter, it has to be a 2.

What’s creamy, delicious and refreshing on a hot SoCal day? Bruster ’ Ice Cream! Sharing is caring so the secret is out. This awesome little Ice cream shop is located on the corner of Artesia and Belshire Ave. There are 4 order windows and the line starts along the side near Belshire Ave. The workers are über friendly and very informative about the unique flavors even offering samples! Yasss! That’s what’s up! Fresh handmade ice cream, an array of awesome flavors from cake batter, candy apple to watermelon sorbet and the list goes on and on. They have AMAZING special on Tuesday’s $ 2 for 2 scoops of yumminess! I first heard of this place after reading Timmy S. awesome review! Needless to say I bookmarked as soon as I finished reading it. A few weeks later after a party at mi casa and boba from Boiling Point my cousin’s BF mentioned Brusters was nearby but we were on a time limit. FAil. 2nd time my cousin mentioned it again after dim sum but the babies wanted Yogurtland. Another Fail =(. Then this week after KBBQ with my cousins, one of my cousin’s BF suggested again we go after. He LOVES that place so much he even offered to treat our party of 9(^_^). Success, yayeee! Luckily it was a Wednesday and they had a Waffle Cone Special 2 scoops for $ 3.49. Yayee! TBH I’m a sucker for pictures which is why I love Unilocal! The first sign I saw was for CARAMELAPPLEICECREAM! Although there was tons of amazing flavors my heart and belly was set. I tried looking at other flavors but the caramel apple kept pulling me back in! Apple ice cream with caramel swirls, cinnamon and little vanilla cake crunch balls… gaaaahhhh heaven in my mouth! And although I LOVED it! The only other person who liked it was my 1 y.o. LOL the other 7 was not to fond. I think it taste more like the caramel apple lollipop, my fav, than an actual candied apple. That was what turned them off. So if you enjoy the caramel apple sucker you’ll love this too! My daughter stuck to her mint and chips which was yummy! My baby had strawberry on a baby cone for free?!. Über cute! We had, as Timmy S. likes to put it, «A Messy Ice Cream Kid Fest!» And a delicious one indeed. Right in front of the windows where there is one big round table that seats 5 to 8 people while other guests sat at the 2 little rectangle bar style tables seating 2 to 4 besides us(^_^) The following day as I went to interviews and ran errands I was craving Ice Cream from Brusters. Yes I’m quite the oinkster! So I met up with Timmy S. For the first time ever and together we found out what the flavors galaxy(like a milky way candy) and Jamaican Me Crazy(like almond joy) were. I went with Jamaican Me Crazy, coconut ice cream with chocolate swirls blended with chunks of almond! Yummy! I’m pretty sure my tummy was jumping for joy the past few days from these delicious treats. If you’re looking for something yummy to cool you down or have a sweet tooth I definitely recommend this place. Or if you’re in the area give it a try(^_^)

Call me Soleil Moon Frye, because I get Punky when I don’t get my Bruster’s New location closer to home, same $ 22 scoop Tuesdays & $ 3.49 Waffle Cone Wednesdays Bucking the trend of hipster, artisan ice cream shops with honey lavender & olive oil/basil, Bruster’s offers innovative variations on the classic flavors. Classic doesn’t just stop with the flavors, as ordering is old school by coming up to window & sampling what you’d like. Graham Central Station is a must for Graham cracker lovers. Graham ice cream with Graham cracker swirl & chocolate flakes. Each bite bursting with it’s namesake taste. This is one of their most popular flavors & I can attest to that. Jamaican Me Crazy is Jamaican Me Lovin it! Coconut ice cream with almonds & fudge. I’m a coconut lover from way back. Love pretty much anything coconut. Combine it with almonds & fudge? Fuhgeddaboutit!!! I relished each spoonful, reggae music playing in my mind. Besides ice cream, Bruster’s also has sorbet/sherbet/ice & froyo. Service has been good when I’ve been here. You can sample to your heart’s content, but be courteous to the others in line. A few places to sit outside, Bruster’s is more for having a quick cold treat on the go. Parking is in a private lot shared by Flying Chicken Padak, Café Maji & other businesses. Bruster’s Real Ice Cream is Real Good. Not as expensive as other local ice cream shops, I enjoy the unique frozen creations available. On top of that, $ 22 scoop Tuesdays makes it a no-brainer that I’ll be back on any given Tuesday. Highly recommend! NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM
