We have been bringing our cars here for oil changes for several years. Especially in the last couple of years the service has always been excellent. They clearly have high customer service standards. This is a business, so clearly they are in it for a profit. They have tried to upsell different services and products, but never are pushy when we say no or maybe next time. I have never felt like they were trying to take advantage of me in any way. The gentleman and ladies at this location are always very kind and friendly. Twice when I went there the person at the cash register happened to notice my AAA card in my wallet and offered me the discount without me even asking. We live across the Bay Bridge, but always make a trip to come here for oil changes.

This place is unbelievably horrible! If you don’t want to pay triple the average price for an oil change and also leave with your car covered in grease, go somewhere else. My wife stopped by the Arnold, MD Jiffy Lube for an oil change since it is conveniently located near our house. After 1.5 hours, she was charged $ 83 for an oil change (no air filter, wipers, etc — only an oil change). Obviously she thought this was high, but she paid without raising a stink.
The real fun began when she went to get in her car. First she noticed grease and oil all over the outside door handle. When she got in the car there was oil and grease all over the interior — I mean everywhere. Oil on the interior door handle, cloth interior, dash, steering wheel, and incredibly enough, even the windshield. She told the Jiffy Lube associate this is horrible. He simply responded with «its not like we do it on purpose — it just happens». Oddly enough, it NEVER has happened to us anywhere else in the past 25 years of owning cars.
I have never had this probelem at any other Jiffy Lube or other oil change facility, but based on other reviews, the Arnold, MD Jiffy Lube consistently provides poor service at inflated prices. I cannot recommend strongly enough to stay away from this shop. Now I need to get back to scrubbing my wife’s interior on her 6 month old car to see if I can get all of these stains out.

I went to this jiffy lube in November 2014. It was a Sunday morning and I was the second car there. Even though I was the second one there I wasn’t the second one out. They were very slow, but what really sunk them is as I left I heard the sound of metal hitting the ground… Never a good sign. I pulled over down the road at AACC made sure there were no fluids dripping out. Checked the oil. Made sure it wasn’t getting hot or acting funny before I left. I came to the conclusion that a technician left a wrench on my skid plate and that’s what the sound was but good lord it gave me a scare. They’re simply the worst. Haven’t been back since.

Last three times I went here: First time, they tried to sell me a quart of antifreeze I didn’t need for 10 bucks. Second time, they again tried to sell me a quart of antifreeze. I know I didn’t need any because I can see that the overflow reservoir says «full» on it. Plus it took them more than 2 hours to get the services done (oil and transmission oil change.) They did knock 10 bucks off the bill for that, I will give them that. Third time, just an oil change and tire rotation. Took two hours. Nothing «jiffy» about this place. I was the last one out the door, and I know for certain that there were plenty of people who came in after I did that afternoon. I will grant that they are friendly and courteous, but jeesh, they really have to step up their game. Probably won’t go back; the only reason I went here in the first place was because I value my time, and they wasted it. I could have gone anywhere else (lots of grocery receipts have great coupons on the back, hint hint) and waited around.

Used to frequent Jiffy Lube until they caused damage to the rear differential of my vehicle. I questioned the technician about using the required additive for the rear limited slip differential, later it was proven they did not use it and required the entire rear end to be rebuilt. After many years of service I will not use this company again for any of my 4 vehicles.
