Irish Passport Photos nailed it.
I needed to get some Irish Passport photos (not the standard US 2″ x 2″) and after a couple of failed trips to pharmacies, one set that were not right and I was handed a scissors to cut to scale myself.
I went to KH Art & Framing /​Advanced Photo, and instead of a wonky camers and an almost white backdrop, the setup even had a model light. Great photo, great customer service, obviously a couple of dollars more than going to CVS but the output was a lot better.

I have never received such fantastic service in my life!!! We recently had a death in the family that happened to coincide with a birthday. I frantically called hoping to get an image of my brother and his best friend, who passed the day before, printed (large 14×11) and framed with an engraved plate. I wish I remember the names of the men who so graciously helped me; as I was speaking on the phone explaining the necessity of getting the picture that day, they eased my worries and had me instantly email the image that way they could get started. I hadn’t said anything about a death and/​or birthday or why this was so important for me. We exchanged a few quick emails about size and particulars and showed up at the shop within the hour. Still, having said nothing personal about our reason for needing the framing expedited, they acted better than I ever could have imagined. I had mentioned there used to be a groupon for a discount, he happily gave us 20% off, just for mentioning they used to do discounts, by no means was I looking to get a deal, it was something I just through out in the open. We picked up the final product 2 hours after having the first conversation. I was brought to tears because of the amazing job and care they took in making sure my product was perfect meanwhile, memorializing our dear friend who had passed. I fully and happily recommend using this shop! Family run and has been around forever, always support people who help others!

I had a mirror that was previously attached to a dresser– already framed– that I wanted to hang on a wall. I called KH to ask about a wire being placed across the back, and they said to bring it on in. While they determined it was too heavy, at 34 pounds, to run a wire across the back, they attached D rings to the wood and provided hanging materials. When we asked about the cost he said to just bring him our next framing job! How nice of them to help us out and we will certainly be bringing our next framing job to KH!

Fast and friendly service. Knowledgable about requirements for US passport photos. Took a couple photos, selected version I wanted, and printed in a few minutes. Highly recommended.

I recently took in a necklace to be framed. The person who helped me had a very good eye, and quickly led me to a frame that complemented the necklace perfectly. We looked through a few mats and found a nice one. The whole process was very efficient and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome — it is absolutely beautiful.

Excellent service, staff was very friendly and went out of their way to have my diploma fixed up and prices can’t be beat.

Brought in 2 items to be framed today, and have to say, I won’t ever be back. Not only because of the pricing issues as other people have mentioned, but because the owner (manager?) was incredibly rude to me with no cause. The guy who was working with me said «It’s normally $ 221 for each, but I’ll do both for $ 175». I still thought $ 175 was expensive, but I thought, great at least he’s trying to work with me. At no point did I ask for this discount, he just offered it.
Then when it came to paying, I said I would pay in advance and that I had a Groupon (nowhere on the Groupon does it say you need to tell them this at the beginning). Then he backtracked and said he’d have to charge me the full price for 1 in order to use the Groupon. This felt like a bait and switch to me and I said as much to the manager/​owner. At no point did I raise my voice, use bad words, or even get angry, I just said I felt like I was being taken advantage of. The manager/​owner just got nasty with me and told me that if that’s what I thought I could pay full price for both. Yes, that’s the way to get customers… at least at KH Art.
Even though I had a bad taste in my mouth from the pricing alone, I probably would have gone through with the Groupon bait and switch, but once the owner (manager?) got nasty, I didn’t want to give them a cent. I don’t care how good your product is (and is it really that great?!?), there are plenty of places I can spend my money where they aren’t rude to customers.
In short, feel free to go there if you care only about quality (since that has been some other users’ experience) and not about service. I have no desire to support places that overcharge, use bait and switch tactics, or treat customers badly.

Let’s be honest, getting artwork — or anything, for that matter — framed is not an inexpensive endeavor, especially if you want it done correctly. And I do. I went to KH Art & Framing with a Groupon deal to get a license plate I had on my car framed. They did a great job so I went back again. And again. And again.
In fact, one time I went to get something framed (the cover of a magazine I used to edit) and didn’t have a Groupon. They gave me the discount anyway! Most recently I went in to have a pretty expensive litho on canvas framed. Not only did they let me use my expired Groupon to get the discount, when I went to pick it up, the technician pointed out to me some uneveness of the color in the frame and said they would od it over at no cost. He pointed it out to me. He was not happy with it.
Frankly, with customer service like this, I will go back again. And again. [Yeah, I have a LOT of things I’ve been meaning to get framed!]

I went to the shop strictly off reviews. Love Unilocal… long time elite as you can see. I bought the Unilocal deal too!
The guy I was working with (Kenny) told me I could get a better deal with the groupon. Seriously? This is the problem I have with deals. Obviously that’s a pain for both of us, and shows that the place isn’t all it’s cracked up to be… in that the management is a little slimy (not straightforward pricing). I explained that we both lose if I use a groupon because I pay for it and he only gets half from groupon. So, he applied the groupon discount (which I now see on groupon’s website might not be quite right) and gave himself the full amount of the groupon. Face-​palm greed. I said that isn’t fair… we should both benefit from not using the groupon. Then he calculated tax twice. That’s just too much slime to be an accident.
When I received the three pictures ($ 700) the work was well done. I would go back based on the good work, but just detest the lack of pricing anywhere to be seen. Even after all that I felt he was playing around with the numbers… and I just really didn’t like it. Stick to doing good work and people will pay for it.

I’m a picky pain to deal with as a customer. So framing was no exception. After living in the area for many years, I’ve researched the best framing spots and always were angry at the prices and less than perfect results.
Enter «K&H.» I can tell you hands down this is the BEST framing shop within 3 states. They’ve always beat other inflated pricing (e.g– Michaels exorbitant costs) and even beat/​price match. The 2 brothers who own it are always friendly and welcoming, and dealing with a picky customer like myself is saying something. They are thorough perfectionists and go the extra mile.
I’ve been using them for years for custom (black metal) frame jobs and just recently had them do a couple more unique (oversized) projects. Not only did they turn out perfectly, the guy followed me out to my car (without me asking) to ensure my car was big enough to transport them. Turned out it wasn’t and so he had another colleague drive the prints back to my house!!! No charge.
This caliber of service can be found nowhere else around here. And couple great prices, friendly service, and top craftsmanship… you need look no further.

If you’re in need of a new passport photo, this is the place. Well lighted, best pic I’ve ever had. Ask for George!

I am so pleased and beyond grateful to this company. I have had a couple of things framed here and they are very helpful and knowledgeable. I have been lured into other frame shops with coupons, but resisted every bone in my cheap body to spend the extra amount to go to true professionals. They spent nearly an hour with me figuring out the right color options. And despite my worries, these guys gave me a very competitive price! But what really warrants this 5 star rating is that after I changed my mind about the color of the mat, they re-​matted my painting for free.
I plan on expanding my art collection, and will most certainly not think twice before coming back.

I use this place any time I need something framed. I’ve probably had 5 or 6 things done over the last 3 years. They do a fantastic job. They help with mat and frame choices. They are skilled and the items come out perfectly. Top notch. I will continue to go back! Thanks for being reliable !!! Ps. Things are always ready on time, even for the holidays.

KH has done a ton of work for me. Always quick, courteous, and great craftsmanship. I highly recommend this shop.

This is my go-​to place for framing, and they do a great job. There aren’t many ways to elaborate on that central fact: they done frame the pictures good.
The only reason I’m docking a star is because of the pricing — an issue that seems to bother some other reviewers here. I’m not so much bothered by how much the average project costs as by the subjectivity of it all.
See those Unilocal deals advertised above? Both times I’ve brought them up at KH, a store employee has said that if I DON’T buy them, he’ll actually have more flexibility to give me his «best price.» He does some napkin carry-​the-​one type math to show me why that is, but all I can tell is that it’ll be cheaper not to buy the coupon, which… makes no sense.
Employees also try to upsell you with «museum-​quality glass» and whatever, but that doesn’t bother me as much. Maybe it really is better. I just want to be able to understand the complete breakdown of parts and labor going into a project, and I hate the feeling of having to haggle over a purchase as unimportant as art framing.
It doesn’t matter that much, though. They’re good at what they do.

Customer service is great and they did a wonderful job but wow, they are expensive! They started off quoting me almost $ 500 for framing two prints (nothing odd about the size or material of the prints, they were both on the small side). This was supposed to be with a 20% discount, too. They brought it down to $ 330, which I still think is really overpriced, but we’d spent a good amount of time going over options so I went ahead (I have a hard time walking out when they’ve spent time and have been nice).
It’s hard to know how much you’re getting in to $-wise when you’re choosing the mat, frame, and glass. They factor in things like size and whatnot, so it’s not totally transparent on how they arrive at your specific price. I asked for the more inexpensive frames and didn’t get non-​glare or museum glass. I would look for somewhere with more competitive pricing in the future, especially if I’m just getting prints framed. If you are getting something really rare and delicate framed, it’s probably worth paying more.

While KH may not be the cheapest framing service in town, they do an amazing job. I brought in an odd shaped print, and the guys knew exactly what I needed. They patiently showed me different frames that would complement the print. I did not feel pressured to select the more expensive, fancier options they showed me.
My framed print was ready within the time frame guaranteed, and I absolutely love the final product. I will definitely return!

What more can I say? These guys continue to do great work! They framed a flag, ribbon rack, a flag and other memorabilia It was better than perfect! Going to try to post a pic because it is so awesome!

I love this place. Have taken four to five framing projects there, always get great customer service, great prices, great work done. The first time I went there was when I was framing a fantastic piece of art I received as a graduation gift. I took it somewhere else first, and the staff there just couldn’t help me choose something that seemed right. Then I came here, and within minutes, these folks helped me pick out the perfect matting and frame. I won’t go anywhere else now.
Another reason I’m a big supporter is that we actually recently just had a miscommunication, and they are totally amenable to fixing it, even though I fully believe it could have been a miscommunication on my part. I won’t bore you with the details; the point is that I am impressed by their desire to make me completely happy, at some cost to them, even when they’ve already given me what probably I asked for (but didn’t mean to).
I am a self-​admitted frame whore: even though we are already out of wall space, I can’t stop buying things and then framing them. So I know I’ll be back.
