JDKMA instructors have combined for more than 150 years experience in martial arts from around the world. All of the instructors have worked with each other before for many years and have now opened up their own training center.

Business Owner

Master Dave Sanchez started his martial arts career when he was a teenager studying Shotokan Karate in his hometown back in New England. When he moved to the DC area in the early 90’s he studied a few different art forms before landing at a school where he could learn both Korean Taekwondo & Hapkido. He continued to study both disciplines for the next 15 years, considering both Taekwondo & Hapkido to have a different focus yet are complimentary to each other. Along the way to attaining his current ranks (5^th Dan Taekwondo, 2^nd Dan Hapkido) he instructed many classes and enjoyed working with all the adults and the many kids that have come through the training center and meeting their families and friends.
