Jhoon Rhee Tae Kwon Do

I am so impressed with every single aspect of this organization. The instructors are friendly, professional, and incredibly skilled. The facilities are immaculate. The program allows participants to advance at their own pace, and is encouraging and challenging at the same time.
My 7 year old absolutely loves coming here.

This is an amazing school. They make learning fun and still teach discipline and respect. Classes are large but they have several Instructers giving everyone individual attention. I highly recommend them!

I have two special needs kiddos who have been going to Ms. rome’s class for many years now. She is Amazing!!! She is an amazing Tae Kwon Do instructor, firm, detailed and caring. As a Special Needs professional she is exceptional and is constantly updating her training techniques to teach an important life or social skill. All at the same time moving the kids through a motivation system to advance levels. If you have a kid with special needs, it’s the place to go!!! She works on social skills, motor skills, emotional regulation, sportsmanship, etc. etc.

We joined Jhoon Rhee 4 years ago. Both of my kids are enrolled. One to develop self confidence, the other to develop discipline and listening skills. Neither of them were talking about, or showing interest in Martial Arts. They both truly like the approach and we exceeded our goals. It is very nice to see them, and so many other kids, grow in responsible adults; and that’s what Jhoon Rhee is all about. Highly recommend. One star off because I am sometime having difficulties matching the class schedule with mine…

Hands down this is the most well run small businesses I’ve ever seen in my entire life.
Perhaps it’s just the Jhoon Rhee way, but I’ve never experienced a more professional and courteous staff, which starts at the top with Masters Shackelford and Pineda. Ms. Hawk, Ms. Rome, Mr. Gan and Mr. O’Neil are also stand-​outs with whom I’ve interacted over the course of many years.
Most importantly, the entire staff is 100% percent dedicated to running an outstanding Tae Kwon Do curriculum. They are incredibly attentive and make everyone feel at home. The facilities are also outstanding, both for participants and observers.
Parking can sometimes be a pain but the underground parking under Harris Teeter is a well-​kept secret. We have a nine year old and a six year old who have been taking lessons at Jhoon Rhee for years and absolutely love going every week. Highly recommend!

Masters Pineda and Shackelford know children and know TKD! The combination, along with their devotion to their craft, is truly an amazing experience. To see your child so disciplined and immersed in a class that has such great rewards is fantastic. They learn so much without realizing it. The commitment is well worth it. The establishment has countless students, yet is is organized and child oriented every step of the way. I have met great friends there, and so have my children, which is a small yet important aside. Every one I know has been so pleased and has nothing but rave reviews about the staff, program and execution. I would highly recommend Jhoon Rhee TKD Arlington to anyone considering TKD for their children in the area. Enjoy!

One of the best schools I have seen as far as the way it’s ran an the knowledge and professionalism of the instructors. The amount of students, especially the youth class is a testament that they are doing something right! Coming from a Martial Arts background myself of over 12 years, I have entered both of my young children into their school and am very pleased with the results!!! The belt and «tape» system they have developed really emphasizes RESPECT, GRADES and WORK ETHIC and is something many schools should take a note of. I would highly recommend THIS school to anyone that is thinking about Martial Arts for themselves or their kids!
