J’s Squeaky Cleaning LLC

I hate giving bad reviews. There could be extenuating circumstances that may have forced the company to not be the best on that specific date, but this company is HORRIFIC!!!
I would like to copy and paste Phillip M’s review for this company and just add it.
Made an appointment, they didn’t show up. Called, left messages, nothing.
Okay, so that happened, maybe they were having a bad day.
Two weeks later, tried again. Made an appointment, they didn’t show up, called, left multiple messages, and NOTHING!
DO NOT USE! DO NOT USE! DO NOT USE!

I wish I would have read the reviews on Unilocal before I had bought this Livingsocial — apparently, my experience is not unique. I had an appointment for 11am today. When no one had showed up at 11:15, I called. No answer and straight to voicemail where I left a message. I repeated that process at least three more times. Finally, at 12:45, someone answered the phone and said she didn’t know why the crew didn’t show up and that she would call me back after she checked with the driver. 15 minutes later, when she hadn’t called me back, I called her. She told me that the crew had been to my house and I never answered the door. That was a straight up LIE. I had been sitting on my couch, right next to my front door since 10:30am. When I tried to reschedule for the same day, at first she said she would see if she could, and then a few minutes later said she had nothing available for today. Granted, I was frustrated and wanted to know how she was going to fix things, but instead of listening to my frustrations, she cut me off, told me to ask for a refund from Livingsocial, and hung up on me.
Livingsocial needs to get it together and stop offering companies that have this poor of a reputation. Livingsocial’s site says: «LivingSocial is the local marketplace to buy and share the best things to do in your city.» If anything, J’s Squeaky Cleaning is the worst in this city. Livingsocial has proven to me that my time is better spent doing my own homework and spending my money elsewhere.
After J’s Squeaky Cleaning did not show up, and I had changed my entire day around to be home, I called cleaners recommended by some friends, Maids in Black (
). I made the appointment at 1:45, they were at my house by 2:30, and had the entire house spotless by 4:30.
Clearly, it’s not worth the headache of going through Livingsocial. If I had just gone with Maids in Black from the beginning, I could have saved the time, money, and effort of dealing with J’s Squeaky Cleaning.

After purchasing a LivingSocial voucher, I was pleasantly surprised to see that this cleaning company uses an online scheduling system. I got a reminder email the day before my appointment, too — great! Down side: there were no appointments after 2pm on weekdays or anything available on weekends.
So I made the decision to take some time off work to schedule my cleaning in the day — today at 2pm. Sadly, no one showed up. No one called. After I called, I got voice mail. 45 minutes after my appointment no call, no show, no callback.
Highly unprofessional. This is the first LivingSocial voucher I’ve asked for a refund for. At least that experience seems easy.

Just redeemed my living social deal this morning and am absolutely thrilled. Service was extremely punctual, thorough, and friendly. Miriam was the most diligent and personable person to ever come through my apt. I have had a lot of deals for cleaning but this far surpassed my expectations. The online booking was very simple too. I will probably be signing up for a monthly service. Highly highly recommend this company!

Left three messages over three weeks. Trying to schedule service. No response. Terrible & unprofessional.

I have called three times to schedule an appointment and I still haven’t received a return call.

I wish I could tell you about the cleaning service, but because no one ever came I can only speak to my experience. Horrible. The customer service to book the actual appointment, great. They were late I tried calling 10 minutes after the appointment and was sent directly to voicemail. I finally got a phone call 45 minutes after the scheduled appointment (in which I did not answer).
When I called the company they stated that they were standing outside of my condos and couldn’t find where to go. You would think they would come to the main doors to buzz up or speak with my concierge, but no they stood outside. If you can’t find your way inside of a building I guess you shouldn’t be cleaning my apartment anyway.
When trying to give them a second chance and calling back the guy was not very unapologetic so I decided to take my business elsewhere.
