JJ is getting docked a star for not delivering to my house 1.5 miles away, but otherwise, I’ve been an über fan since my first taste in 2003. The subs ARE freakishly fast, provide much more meat than subway and have addiction creating fresh bread. My go tos are the Italian Night Club(#9) and the Beach Club(#12). I’m currently housing a beach club and only wish I had another to gorge on. They are unfortunately, one of those places that uses their own soda, and I personally hate the ‘diet coke’ substitute, but the kettle chips and cookies are good. Damn you JJ, deliver to me!

I walked here two days ago at an off time and the cashiers were wonderful. I ordered the Country Club and my friend got the smoked ham club. I asked for plain on one of them and only tomato on the other. One of them was plain and the other was not. I only deducted one star for that. The meat was great!

Bread is way to thick and the staff on that day was rude, very rude, so I won’t be spending my money there anymore.

Jimmy john’s is pretty standard for a sandwich place so I give it 4 stars. I like it more than Subway, corner bakery, and panera if you’re in the mood for a deli type sandwich. My favorite is the beach club on wheat with salt and vinegar chips. The beach club had turkey, avocado and sprouts. A tasty combo if you’re like me and love avocado with everything. They always load up the sandwiches with plenty of meat so you don’t feel like you’re missing out. The value is good for the price and you can’t beat the convenience of the delivery. It’s my probably tied for my favorite fast food sandwich in the Crystal city area along with Pot Belly. However the location is a lot easier to find so JJ wins.

Let’s be real. Jimmy John’s is one of the best«fast food» places out there. It’s actually faster than most fast food chains, and the food is much healthier. The Veggie(the #6) used to be my go-to(because I was vegetarian), and I would still get it as a carnivore. This visit I got a JJ Unwich Beach Club(basically the Veggie plus turkey breast), which means the whole thing is wrapped in lettuce with no bread in sight. I LOVE the bread at Jimmy John’s, but this option is such a great way to cut calories. I also(always) sub out mayo for dijon mustard(the only kind they have). Another great way to cut calories, plus I love the flavor of their dijon mustard. Another reason Jimmy John’s is a five-star establishment is because their chips, which are their own brand, are awesome. They are kettle-style, crunchy chips, and they have a decent amount of flavors to choose from. I love Salt and Vinegar, and I get the full fat version because the Skinny Chips only come in plain. I just eat half the bag, or if I’m with someone else, split a bag. I’m not comparing Jimmy John’s to sit-down restaurants, though I did sit down and eat in the store and even work for a little bit while I was there. I’m comparing it to other fast food options, and among fast food, it is definitely five stars. Yes, the meal described above(with a small drink) cost $ 10, but it was more than enough food, and it’s worth it to me to pay a little extra to not have indigestion(or worse) later in the day. If you want to take care of your body in the long run, skip the burger joints and grab yourself some Jimmy John’s.

Sandwiches here are amazing, this has become a new favorite place. Best bread of any quick sandwich shop, or most any place. The bread reminds me of Avanti’s in the Midwest. Staff at this place are also really great. They’ve always been friendly, fast, and get orders correct. I do feel a little guilty eating Jimmy Johns because of the problematic non-compete agreement employees have to sign. That’s not this franchise’s fault or decision but is something corporate should consider changing.

I was very disappointed with the quality of food. The bread was very stale and the meat dry. For a restaurant that specializes in sandwiches/subs the sandwiches were just plain bad. But, the service was good.

They always follow my order 100% correctly and their sandwiches are delicious. A great place to pick up a sandwich and go in under 5 mins!

Love this Jimmy John’s. I usually get the gargantuan which has every kind of meat on the menu or a slim sub when I’m trying to avoid the food coma in the afternoon. The staff are always friendly and the service is very quick. I’m usually in and out in a few minutes. 50 cent day old bread too!

Jimmy John’s always has absolutely delicious sandwiches, but they can be heavy on condiments. I’m a turkey Tom fan, and I need to ask for it without mayo, as it is a little heavy-handed there otherwise. The ingredients are fresh, the large pickles are a cool idea, the sandwiches AND cookies are both delicious.(Chips too, but I feel that’s probably less to do with the restaurant and more who they order from.) Every time I’ve been in this restaurant, it’s been clean though today(for the first time), it smelled a bit odd. Normally, it’s odor-free. Also, BIG plus, they deliver. An amazing service, and the delivery fee is little to no cost, so that’s a win too. All in all, a good bargain, but the star is lost due to a one-time smell and moreover, for a constant over-mayonnaising of my sandwich.

I only like one sandwich here(The Gargantuan). I feel like everything else is a bad deal. No real bread options or sandwich mods. However service is super quick and a notch above other places in the area.

These guys will make you the sub you want turbo fast. Most times, I’m not even done filling my drink by the time the sub is ready. I always get the Gargantuan, because I’m always hungry. This sub packs a lot of everything and I’ll pick it up often for post workout grubbing.

I’ve lived in Crystal City for almost 3 years and only recently started eating at Jimmy John’s. And when I say eating there, I mean like once a week. First the service: The guys there are amazing. Really amazing. They recognize me(how sad is that?) and always get my order right. They take time to greet, but are always so insanely fast. The food: Well, I go at least once a week. Doesn’t that say it all? I’m addicted to the Italian, unwich style. The parking: Sucks. Not existent. But it’s Crystal City. Get off your butt and walk.

I just moved to Crystal City and as of writing this review, still haven’t made it to the grocery store. Thank goodness for Jimmy John’s. I barely have time to get my work done, let alone unpack. I placed my order for a turkey sub, chips and a drink online at 12:29 and the delivery man was knocking on my door at 12:39. I live 3 minutes from the restaurant with traffic, so I actually did almost freak at how fast my food arrived. If I had to quibble, I’d say the sandwich didn’t seem as full as it should have been. It was tasty, though. I will be ordering lunch several more times from this Jimmy John’s location.

I dont know what they do to these sandwiches but they are so so so good! They make them in like 10 seconds and it is perfect every time. The bread is outstanding. I know someone from Philly who says JJ roast beef is just as good as any hoagie hes had back home.

I never understood why so many people liked this place. I guess the first time I had Jimmy John’s I didn’t order the right thing. I ordered the Beach Club with wheat bread. Well, I didn’t care for it too much. So it took me a while to come back here and when I did, I ordered the same thing, the beach club, but this time with the regular white bread. Just by ordering the regular Jimmy John’s bread made me realize why so many people love this place. Their bread just brings the entire sandwich together. The Beach Club is the only thing I have ordered from here and I will probably stick with it since I love it. The only thing I would change is the fact that they don’t use fresh avocados for their sandwiches, but a avocado spread. The customer service is great and they make your sandwich pretty fast. If you like your sandwich with a kick, you can add peppers.

I must say, I love all of the Jimmy Johns commercials that I’ve heard on the radio. This was my first time trying the establishment. not impressed. not one bit. I ordered the Vito(Italian sub) where was my «real tasty vinaigrette» that was supposed to be on my sub? did they forget to put it on? was it on but I couldn’t taste it? I might give it another try and ask for EXTRA vinaigrette next time.

This is a standard Jimmy John’s. A good place to grab a quick sandwich and some chips when you’re in a hurry or just need a no-frills bite to eat. Based on the food, I’d probably give this 3 stars, but I’m bumping it up because the employees are extremely friendly and nice to me every time I stop in, so I’d like to give them a big thumbs up for their customer service. Since I live nearby, I end up passing the store late at night and often grab some day-old loaves of bread. It’s great for breakfast toast or with pasta sauce, and recipes that call for cubed bread. I definitely end up going here more for bread than sandwiches, but sometimes nothing hits the spot like a vito with hot peppers, or even just a simple BLT.

Love Jimmy Johns now. I really do. I’ve been here 06÷25÷12, 09÷05÷12, and 10÷18÷12. I have had subs and sandwiches. Chips and pickles. Cookies and drinks. I love it all. I am trying hard not to turn this into a habit but it is so hard. I love this place. The people are nice, the sandwiches are fresh, and the shop is clean and only a 5 minute walk from my office. If there is one thing that gives me pause, it is those grains in the multi grain bread. They are just too hard. And there’s just too many of them. Otherwise, the food is awesome. Oh, and when they say«order on the app and pick it up in person» they mean it. And you do not have to show your credit card a second time either! I am a huge huge fan of Jimmy John’s!

I didn’t even realize that Jimmy John’s had made it to NoVa until I walked by it this morning, but I’m glad they have! I have to admit that I actually prefer Subway’s bread; while Jimmy John’s is a more traditionally high-quality baguette, there is something about the doughy Subway style that I like. That said, Jimmy John’s meat and fillings are much higher quality, so I’m pretty happy with either one, and now that I know this is here, I can mix it up between the two. The staff seemed quite friendly, and pretty efficient for such a small space!
