Discount Tire Store – Arlington, TX

Great customer service I arrived 30 minutes before they opened and planned to drop off my car for 4 new tires and just über to work. Other people arrived and waited at the door (it was warmer in my car) but they still took care of me first ;). After inspecting all of my tires they told me I only needed 2 tires as the back 2 had been replaced for various nails/​screws. They got my car started in and out in 20 minutes. And they rotated the other 2 as well. They are very friendly, at 8am on Monday!

I had a tire that needed needed plugged and the 3 employees I spoke with there were outstanding at customer service. I dropped my tire off for repair and when I returned they had it ready and although they were very busy they had my tire installed and I was ready to go in under 15 minutes. The best part was there was no charge for it! I now intend to use them in the future based on my experience from this first visit. I highly recommend them!

Discount Tires has slowly gone downhill over time. They do not have convenient hours because that are closed Sunday and they also close at 6 PM during the week. As the metroplex has grown they have not expanded hours and not they have a long wait. They have increased prices in services and are now not competitive. I will now start going to another tire store. They are not customer focused any more. The owner gives money to charity instead of paying his workers more. Charity is good if you can afford it. He can’t.

I had a pretty good experience here. The two employees that helped me were very nice and courteous. I only went to see if my tire had a leak and they went ahead and adjusted the air on all my tires. I did not have to wait long and it was a very easy process.

I unexpectedly found out I needed tires, and being your typical girl, I didn’t really know where to start. I live very close to this location, so I thought I would go to them to get a quote.
I was greeted by David and he was very friendly and helpful. He explained all the possibilities I could get, and why I should go with a 3-​star tire. He explained everything in a way I could actually understand… don’t forget, I’m your typical girl and don’t know much about cars.
After deciding to go with a 3-​star Yokohama, they pulled my car in and got to business. I waited about 20 minutes, and when it was pulled to the front, David noticed that they put on a different Yokohama tire than what I paid for. He apologized for the mixup and said it would be fixed quickly. A few minutes pass by and he comes to inform me, because of the mixup they were putting on Michelin tires! I was very surprised and very grateful! I will continue to go back for any tire needs.

Where to start… Installer could not remove a lug, so he continued to spin it with a impact while pulling on the wheel, and prying with bars. For over 30 minutes. In the end they sent me to a shop to have the lug removed, and replaced.
The shop removed it, after 2 hours of trying, and showed me that the hole was wallowed out from the spinning that the guy had done. They told me to come back another day, as they would be closing soon. They said they would recommend replacement of the axle.
I called discount tire, explained that my rim, and axle were messed up, and that the shop would fix it, and asked nicely for some refund for the time I would be spending to deal with the repairs. They refunded me 60 dollars (out of 600), and said they will not be covering the repairs…
Email me, I will find you a better deal, and quality service… I don’t want anyone to have to deal with the nightmare I am having with them.

We have been Discount Tire customers for 10 years. Our experience was good in the past, but not this time. When I arrived at Discount Tire, no warning lights were illuminated on the dash panel. Although I had no problem with the price or time it took to change the tires, the tire pressure warning light was on when I went to leave Discount Tire. I immediately backed up and went inside and they checked all the tire pressures and the spare and the light still remained on. They told me it would reset, it just took time. I left for a trip to Colorado for a month and the light was on the entire time! When I returned home, I called Discount Tire and asked them to fix it and they told me that the pressure sensor must be damaged. I explained if it was damaged, it was damaged by their technician. They denied any responsibility. After a lengthy internet search, I found that the tire pressure reset button must be set after changing tires. I feel that Discount Tire should know how to push a reset button. Very disappointed in their lack of knowledge on what is now a required feature for new automobiles and their unwillingness to deal with a problem they caused. I do not have an exotic car, it is a 2012 Toyota Highlander. To sum it up, they failed to press a reset button and then forced me to remedy the problem. My car was due for it’s state inspection and would not pass until this light was extinguished.

A year ago I purchased a full set of brand new tires here which I got talked up into for their 65 000 mile warranty. Well I might a well have bout heap tires from the Mexicans down the street because after 20 000 miles when they were balding, they refuse to cover them due to lack of rotations. I admit that as a car driver I should have rotated them 3 times by now and have only done so once, but I am good with math and that still doesn’t add up to 65 000 miles. They wouldn’t rotate them for me, which is what I went in for in the first place so I could have my good tires on the front. Never buying tires from them again. Not with the cost.

I’ve been a customer of Discount Tire for the past five years and the N. Collins store is now my favorite location. The employees are friendly, energetic, and great at what they do. I took my brother’s car here last weekend to patch a nail in his tire. I was so impressed with their customer service and expertise that I came back the following week to replace the old tires on my vehicle. Ask for Jimmy — he’s amazing and very helpful.

I Like Discount Tire stores and will continue to use them. Just not this location.
I took my BMW in to have new tires put on and the front office was friendly enough. I did see one of the techs turning his back to my car and was trying to donkey kick (back kick) my tire off the car. BMW rims a hard to take off at times but there is a proper way to do it and that was not it.
When I got my car back there was dirt on the passenger side that was not there before. So I knew they were trying to cover something up. I quickly discovered that the donkey kicker had kicked my back fender and chipped my paint. That was a $ 600 fix that they paid for of course but it did not have to happen if they would have done it correctly. Stay away from these guys off Collins in Arlington.

I have spent lots of money here. Always have been treated well.

My mom had a shredded tire and an old, worthless spare. Drew went above & beyond to make sure she got the new tires she needed and got back on the road safely, without breaking the bank. We LOVE discount tires!

Annoying sales practices. Long wait. Forgot to do my rotation (didn’t put on the paperwork). They do have a restroom, but no paper towels in the women’s RR.

I never bought tires here. I always buy them from Goodyear, but I should go back to buying them online and save some money and get more selection, but I don’t.
This is my go to place for getting air in my tires, FOR FREE!!! They have awesome service. They were even closed and since there were cars in the bay the fella went ahead and filled my tires, w/​o even mentioning to me that they were closed. The only way I knew they were closed is I asked the fella: «What time do you close?» And he said, With a smile:” We closed at 6:30 PM. His mamma raised him right!!!

SO I had another flat tire. Third in the past two weeks if you’re keeping track at home. I go in Monday morning, of course it’s super busy but I wait dutifully, enjoy some free water (which they offer), and chill. Well, an hour or so passes (which I understand, I feel like if they want to put the thing they have to do for free at the bottom of their priority list, that would be a logical business practice) and I am informed that the tire is too damaged to fix. I’d be a little afraid that they were trying to screw me but they’ve fixed two other tires with no problems recently so I figured they were telling the truth. Then he said he’d see if there was «an old tire in the back» that they could put on. I assumed that a used tire would still cost something but that it was much cheaper than buying a brand new tire. But then they put on this old tire, hand me my $ 0 receipt for tire repair, and send me on my way. With a whole new (to me) tire. Is this the policy? Was I just super lucky? I don’t know but it was awesome.
ALSO, I think they have a bathroom, it’s just outside of the waiting room. I heard a guy ask something (but not exactly what) and he was directed to the second door on the left once you step out into the garage. So there! I suffered for no reason! Or it was only a water fountain, I didn’t investigate for myself.

I bought my tires at another Discount Tire location in Arlington, but visited this one recently to get my tires rotated. This location is clearly the red-​headed stepchild of the Discount Tire locations in Arlington. It is lacking in professionalism, a public restroom and customer service. The Store Manager, Assistant Manager and one of the tire technicians were basically kicking it in the private office and showroom cutting it up with each other while customers were waiting and 3 employees were burdened with the workload.
Whenever I am in need of tires or rotation, I would steer clear of this location so I can experience better service.
