Cinemark Tinseltown

My first time going to this location was to see the point break movie. The employees were young and full of life and made the experience that much better. They were really nice and comical about everything. The most interesting part of the trip was the pricing, at 6.75 for adults this knocks all other movie theater pricing out of the water besides drive in movies. I was blown away by the pricing and the price of the snacks were not extremely high either. I was able to buy everything for under 14 $. The snack packs that they have included both popcorn, a drink, and candy all for a about 6 $ the same as a movie ticket. With affordable prices this place is number one if you are in the area I would highly recommend coming and checking out this spot.

Horrible customer service. Dirty floors and broken urinals. Security guard screams at patrons instead of saying exit this way please it just yelling what not to do.

Unbeatable prices! Sure its surroundings are not very pleasing to the eyes, but once you get in there and the lights shut down, there is no difference at all. Can’t compete with this place (:

Over the past few years this theatre appears to have become very popular. I’m sure its probably due to my glowing review. Anyways there are a bunch teenagers who go here and can be loud which is annoying, and they really can spend some extra cash on deep cleaning please. I still like the price and location but this is no longer my fav theatre. Im currently digging the reclining seats at Movies 16 :)

The Six Flags Mall is a shadow of its former self. The movie theater is not much different. If you’re going to the movies for the glitz and glamour of the theater itself, you might consider going somewhere else. Let’s face it, this place is kind of creepy looking when you walk inside and to be quite honest, I myself wouldn’t feel all that comfortable coming to watch a movie here at night.
However, you cannot beat the price. $ 3.50 for current movies is a steal. I used to frequent this place a lot while I was at UTA simply because it’s so much cheaper than going to Studio Movie Grill or the AMC at the Parks Mall.
Granted, you’ll likely encounter better food options there, but one thing you won’t likely encounter are crowds or fussy children.
It’s not the greatest place to go out on a date, but it’s great if you’re bored and want to watch a movie at a cheap price.

Can’t beat $ 3.50 matinée and $ 5.75 regular ticket. Why pay full price for new movies? I also joined the Cinemark club so receive weekly coupons and in addition I signed up for Cinemark mode and always receive rewards!

This movie theater is rather old and in not so great of a neighborhood however the tickets are so cheap that I can’t help myself!!! $ 3.50 for a matinée people and 5.50 for a evening show. It’s about a 20 minute drive from my house but if I wanna do a movie marathon I definitely come here. I can watch two brand new movies for 7.00 on a Saturday afternoon. My local cinemark charges 10.75 for a ticket and a matinée is still overpriced at 7.75! I love movies and I love this place for keeping them affordable!

I’ve been going here for years and I love it here. You can’t beat the price and the management works hard to keep the place clean. Even though it’s in a closed down mall this place is well maintained and they offer pretty much what the latest movie theaters are offering with the exception of a full menu and vibrating seats and such. The movies are shown in digital format with top of the line surround sound systems in every theatre so u can pay 5.50 there or 9 to 10 bucks elsewhere and get the same experience my money is going on Cinnemark.
Only down fall is that at certain times when u go the crowd can be a little annoying as in some ppl let their children run aisles and talk during the movie or you may get some smart ass teenager trying to impress his or her friends and be an ass but all the years I’ve been going I can count on one hand the bad experiences I’ve had so I still consider this place a win. Best times to go or late at night or an early show and NEVER SEE KIDS MOVIES THERE!!! At that price people come by the bus load and the kids don’t shut up and the parents don’t care. If you’re wanting to see a kids movie I’d go a little more upscale and pay more for a crowd who will bring well mannered kids.

I love coming here because it’s very affordable for movies. There is nothing much around there other than the cinema itself but it’s good for matinée shows as it’s only $ 3.50 for a ticket! It is also usually not very crowded and they have comfortable seating!

For folks living in Grand Prairie and Arlington this movie theatre is very convenient. Their matinée shows are for just $ 3.50 on weekdays including Sunday’s. Seats are allotted on a first come first serve basis and the theatre is never sold out so one doesn’t have to worry about getting those seats where your neck aches.
The other good thing about this theatre not being sold out is that parking spots are easy to find. The screens and the seats are in tip-​top conditions and there isn’t really anything to complain about.
If you are looking for an inexpensive movie outing with your friends or family I’d recommend this place.
Also for food there aren’t too many options as the food court in this mall is not operational. However only a place called Italia is open here an they serve a descent pepperoni slice.

Can’t beat the price! This is the only place i go to watch movies. Comfortable, Clean seats!

Came with my friends left my seat to get popcorn and this lady came and took our seat by putting her purse in the seat! There was no attendant to help with this dispute! Ridiculous! Can’t even enjoy the movie! They rectified the situation and gave us passed to see the movie again! Yea!

Not bad but a subwoofer was blown or not setup correctly and was clipping real bad. Luckily I only heard it during the previews. Also the AC was turned up or something. It was pretty warm in there!
It was clean though! Also searing was pretty good. Prices were great too.

This movie theater is actually very nice, on the inside. I specify the inside because the theater itself is actually in an abandoned mall. So if you’re like me and your GPS brought you here, don’t worry, you’re in the right place.
The lobby was bright and inviting and the concession stands were well stocked as well as very reasonably priced. However it was kind of strange that the only staff member I saw was the woman who sold me my ticket. There wasn’t anyone behind the counter or taking tickets. In fact the only other people in the lobby were other customers.
The movie started on time and the theater was very clean, no damaged seats and the audience was quiet and attentive. Over all it was a great time. However the reason for the low stars was because the whole time I was in the theater it felt spooky. It was a nice theater in an abandoned mall! With no staff! They make horror movies that start that way! Gah!

Great movie theater cheap price for cheap people, a lot of holes in the streets, really poorly constructed inside, looks like this movie theater going to fall apart any month now, anyways great movies for cheap price :)

Alright. Since my last review, I’ve noticed a couple of things which kind of mar the experience here:
— Some of the screens have very, very visible defects. I’m not a picky guy, but these aren’t minor defects: dead pixels or bright red spots and tears. They’re noticeable during the film.
— I feel like the upkeep has kind of slipped. The theater seems busier than before (which is good!), but the staff might be struggling to keep up.
— There’s some competition on the cheap-​seats front. I saw Despicable Me 2 at UTA for $ 1, and they threw in popcorn! You don’t get the ‘movie theater’ experience, but the cost savings are hard to argue with.
— Other theaters in the area have matinees which are a few dollars more expensive, but offer much better audio and video experiences. My wife and I saw Gravity in 3D at Rage Motion Picture in Fort Worth and we were blown away by how great the film looked and sounded.
Does Cinemark still fill a need? Sure. That said, I think we’re moving towards more DVDs at home for dramas and slightly pricier theaters for action and adventure films.

it has a creepy parking lot. The mall entrance is creepy. But once you pay your $ 3.50 and slide in to the actual cinema, it will all be ok. If you want to see a current movie cheap, this is your spot.

As other reviewers have mentioned, the theater is in a run-​down, scary mall.
While the price is nice, we saw a new movie for $ 3.50 a piece, BUT honestly I would rather pay more and have better experience. The theater was nice enough — clean and a good movie experience; but the quality of the crowd was terrible. Rude, movie talkers, low-​class, texting and talking on their phones, teen-​agers running wild. Honestly, the whole place is just ghetto.

Me and the the hubby just saw the 4pm showing of Hunger Games Catching Fire. The tickets were $ 3.50 each, $ 7.00 total for a movie that just came out yesterday!!! Whoohoo!!! Excellent value!!! Can’t wait to come back. Date night on a budget, oh yeah!!!

The lowest I have ever paid for movie tickets. I caught the new Harry Potter and tickets were $ 3.25!!! There were five other people in the theater not counting my group. We sat in the back and noticed a urine-​like smell. It wasn’t too bothersome and the seats were comfortable.
One more thing, we took the side exit out to the parking lot. The sun was still up so once we opened the door to exit, we were blinded by sunlight. Not to mention, the exit leads right onto to road. Careful people!
