Lots of stuff omg. I am so happy to have found this place. Picked up all my curries and other spices, milks, waters, breads, chutneys, yassss. One star off because maybe they are dubious of white people, which is why they didn’t smile much. I love you anyway!

As often as I visit the Tandoor –which is right next door to Bombay Bazaar– I’ve never stopped in to this nice little shop. Although little might not be the right descriptor for this deceptively deep store packed with flavors and ingredients from all around the world. The selection was crazy, like nothing I’ve every seen. Though admittedly, I’m not much of a cook. But my daughter is, and while we were in a hurry today and short on time(we only took one item and a snapshot to share on Unilocal), I’m eager to return to Bombay Bazaar and try some of their items. For cooking or for dessert treats all around the world, they have a great selection. We will definitely visit this shop again. And if you’re in the mood for something outside the usual to cook or to take home and try, this is the place to go! Cheers!

Finally experiencing Bombay Bazaar made me so happy and sad at the same time. Sad that I’ve lived relatively close by for almost 3 years, love ethnic cuisine, and never stopped in before. I’m a fool and must make up for lost time. The interior isn’t exactly aesthetically pleasing — it’s pretty run down with dingy and outdated floors, walls, and shelves. Unattractive fluorescent lighting and items sort of piled about. But everything seemed ultra-clean and the store is easy to navigate, which is what counts. The variety and quality of products here is stellar. When do you ever see whole raw garbanzo beans? Where can you find the biggest bags of basmati rice known to all humankind(and multiple brands at that)? So much produce, every kind of flour you can think of, herbs(curry leaves!), and an incredible array of whole/dried and powdered spices. Soooo many types of salt and pepper, curry, masala, chutneys, incense & candles, yogurt, fresh baked goods, SOMUCHGHEE, a large selection of frozen foods, candies, and a ton of pre-packaged cookies, breads, and cakes. I was the only person in the store at 4PM on a Wednesday, but the staff was nice and I was able to get in and out quickly despite my lengthy browsing.

I may not be the best reviewer in that I don’t frequent the Bombay Bazaar, but as my skill level of cooking Indian cuisine increases I plan to be a regular. This packed store has more than enough to keep you scanning up and down the aisles for what’s on your list and what’s not. I think I debated between the HUGE bags of rice for a while and then couldn’t get through the jarred curries, chutney, mint and sauces without wanting to put everything in my basket. Everything on my list from garam masala to saffron or kesar was there. I bought more than I needed and still got out of there less than I would have at Whole Foods(my only other option it feels like for unique spices).

I’ve been going to get my monthly groceries at the Bombay Bazaar for quite some time now. The stocks are fresh and the store is adequate for a typical Indian home. Although the prices are a bit high but they can be compromised for the quality of the goods.

Clean Indian grocery store! They have a nice selection of Indian spices, snacks, grains, frozen foods, and canned goods. Lots of imported foods, but they also carried a lot of Made in USA Indian food, which I prefer if given a choice. This place is much cleaner than the Taj Mahal grocery on 75 and Beltline, but no food stands in the back.

Early last year i visited this place for the first time after having my lunch at Tandoor Restaurant. The place looked barren, most of the shelves were empty. I visited the place again today. And what a surprise, they have re-innovated the market. The owner has been changed. It now offers almost everything that are available in a usual indian market, and none of the prices seemed to be higher than indian markets at Irving. The vegetables looked fresh. They have some frozen fishes also at a very good price. I am happy that i don’t need to drive to irving every now and then for grocery.

Bombay Bazaar is a GREAT find for an Indian grocery right next door to our favorite Indian restaurant Tandoor India! Jay, the owner & proprietor of Bombay has an excellent selection of Indian spices and mung dal, among other items. Store is easy to access in the small shopping center(look for the Starbucks in the front and drive behind it, more stores are there) and well lit. Jay cheerfully assists w questions or label reading(often a challenge for me since I can’t read the labels if not in English) and sorting out ingredients since I often bring the recipes w me to purchase what I need. Also, Great Indian herb supplements too at a fantastic price a ¼ of what we pay at Sprouts and Whole Foods(we still love them btw, but why pay their prices when we have Bombay???) Now we buy our Ashwaganda, Guggul, Shatavari and Triphala only at Bombay! thanks Jay!
