Kroger

3 Years ago this Kroger was amazing, in the past few years the quality of the employees has reduced. Almost every time I’m in this store there is an aisle blocked because they are stocking the shelves, the only problem I have with this is that they do it during peak shopping times and it causes traffic. Other stores that I go to I hardly ever see people stocking the shelves during these times. I have also come to this store multiple times and they are completely out of some items which was frustrating because I have come to the store for a specific item and they didn’t have it; it was a complete waste of a trip. This Kroger is huge and I expected them to have all the regular items in stock (like cilantro). I have also had some bad experiences at the deli counter. One time I went up asking for ¼ lb of deli meat and the woman seemed to have understood me, but she ended up giving me 1lb. I can’t eat the entire pound so I politely asked for her to correct her mistake and she gave me a big attitude and rolled her eyes. Another time the lady at the deli counter asked me what I wanted, and then she saw people she knew and started holding a conversation with them when I was trying to give her my order. I had to wait for her to finish her conversation before she assisted me, I then repeated my order a couple more times and it seemed like she didn’t understand me. I thought it was really rude that she interrupted me saying my order to talk to her friend (the conversation was couple of minutes; it wasn’t a brief hello). The people at this Kroger are not as nice as the people at my home town Kroger. Don’t get me wrong, there are some really nice employees here but in the past year the quality of the store has gone down.

This Kroger is nice and well-​kept. The floors are always clean and items I need are always in stock. The team members working here are also kind, one of them happens to be the same guy who works at my cleaners! lol
The produce section is organized and has fresh fruits and vegetables that are not «needing attention.» That says a lot about a grocery store… their produce section. The meat and deli are also kept in the same manner. I think the middle of the store is where you’ll find most of the boxed/​packaged items but there is a larger variety than say Tom Thumb or Neighborhood Walmart. I love this Kroger and wish the Unilocal page indicated it was «Signature.»

The common sense of the cashiers here is non existent. Management is to busy socializing to address there incompetence.

Produce ALWAYS fresh. And they have the most helpful staff ever.
I shop here almost twice a week, the store is always clean. The meat department always has the best meat to offer and the clerks who work in that department are very knowledgable. I can say the same about the other departments also.
I also see the mangers on the floor helping the customers and the employees. So that’s a good thing.
The gas station outside comes in handy. Nothing like 3 cents off per gallon.

Like all Kroger’s, this customer service is terrible! No smiles, no «how are you doing», or the simple «do you have a Kroger card?» The only thing that keeps me coming back is the slightly lower prices compared to Tom Thumb or Albertson’s. Prices are similar to Wal-​Mart. If there was an H-​E-​B here I would never come here again.

For the folks that always rag on Wal-​Mart for being so crowded and no place to park. Have you ever been to this Kroger?
The store is fine and has anything and everything you will ever need. The service is just as good but the parking and checkout.
This place is NUTS.

I have shopped at this Kroger for many years. The service has been hit or miss. The deli and meat department have always been awesome. Today, took the cake! I had an employee laugh at me when I said hello to the bagger. When I looked at her she continued to laugh. I let the manager know, and the cashier told him she was laughing at Minions. How lame and rude! Sadly, the manager believed her and had no concern that he lost a customer.

Kroger store are always busy and crowded people in DFW love Kroger. I like Kroger also the stores are big clean plenty of items to buy. The fresh produce is always plentiful and fresh looking. The shelves are always full not needing to be restocked. The meat department has good choices and they have good sales on meat. The bakery has very good cakes. The wine selections are also great.
People complain about Walmart being busy will Kroger is just as busy. The prices are better at Walmart. But Kroger has more unique foods hard to find items.
Service is good no complaints. They seem to have plenty of cashiers so the wait is not to long.

This is the grocery store we visit most consistently, where we do the bulk of our shopping. Tom Thumb is great for when we need a few things last minute, and Whole Foods is where we shop for a special occasion or ingredient. Kroger is the happy medium!
We enjoy this particular location because it’s so nice inside. It’s updated, tidy, well-​staffed, and aesthetically pleasing. Clean floors, pretty produce, organized shelves. Not as enjoyable to browse as a Whole Foods, but still nice and comfortable. Kroger has a great produce section, plenty of organic/​gluten free products, a nice deli (not much cheaper than whole foods though, honestly), and a beautiful floral department. They even have an impressive garden section out front with bushes, flowers, trees, fruits, veggies, herbs, planting pots, soil… If they had a bit more variety, I might not need Home Depot for my gardening goods anymore. Weird. They also have pretty nice home/​holiday décor. Great variety — I always find something I want for my kitchen or backyard, and I almost always leave with new candles.
My only qualm? Eh, I don’t think this Kroger has the best meat selection. Most cuts (seafood and steaks) seem overpriced and underwhelming in quality. Sometimes we stumble upon great deals or find a decent option buried in the «manager’s selection» section (meats about to expire), but those times seem like a rarity. It’s definitely hit or miss.
I’ll update if my feelings change, but for the time being, Kroger has been our tried and true, most-​likely-​to-​visit grocery store since we moved to this part of Arlington. It’s affordable and covers like 90% of the things we shop for.

The setup, cleanliness, helpful nature of the staff makes me want to bypass four other Kroger locations nearby and drive to this location instead.
The setup reminds me of Whole Foods. They have a sushi bar, fresh bakery, and a lot of hard to find brands.

This is the closest «good» Kroger to my house. It’s a Signature store, so the deli is stocked with those $ 9.99/lb Boar’s Head brand meats, and they have a mega cheese section nearby. The produce always looks incredible. They don’t have much in the way of baby foods, snacks, formula, etc however.

I luv, luv, luv this store. It’s clean and no long lines. The fruit selection is too die for. Reasonable prices. What more can a gal ask for? Gr8 place 2 shop!!!

This store is so clean and organized! The staff is always helpful. I come here at least 3 times a week. The deli is good the sushi is AWESOME and the bakery always has a big selection of yummy desserts!

I just live their deli, olive bar and sushi. Omg the sushi. Did I mention the sushi?!/? Yes it’s that good for a grocery store.
I live the customer service in this place. You can’t top that one.

I’m pretty well a convert to the «prices usually cheaper without a stupid card» Walmart grocery stores, but this Kroger, maybe because it’s a «Signature» store, has some stuff specifically that I go in for.
First of all, it’s a nice Kroger, always pretty clean, go in during daytime hours and it’s pretty easy to find someone to help you if needed. This store has a nice selection of different items in the deli and bakery as well.
But let’s get down to business here, I go in because in all my lunch meat travels, I’ve found Boars Head to be pretty well the best stuff out there, and Kroger Deli is the only place I know that sells it. I get pretty tired of local options to eat lunch, so for a good while now I’ve been just putting together a sandwich at work. After being overly depressed at the sad offerings at the Thumb and Walmart, I wandered in here one day to see what they had.
This Kroger, anyway, carries a huge selection of Boars Head. I had no idea there was so many ways you could pimp out a turkey, holy white meat! Oh yea, not to mention the chicken, ham, roast beef, and they even got different bologna and other stuff. The stuff is good, and there’s so many choices you would be hard pressed to get bored with what’s available.
Good news, Boars Head is some good stuff, and Kroger carries a TON of it. Bad news… oh crud, it’s Kroger, AND it’s Boars Head, so it ain’t cheap! Average price seems to be about $ 9 – 10 a pound. I suck it up, and get what I need to get me through the week, but the idea here is, I don’t get bored after eating it once, I buy enough for several sandwiches, and it’s worth it.
Also, Kroger has a pretty good bakery, although I found out they «import» some of the stuff in from some place that’s doing all the baking apparently. Bad news is they quit bringing in something I was buying, but not a big deal since for work I occasionally have to drive somewhere, and there’s a Kroger in Bedford who still brings it in.
I’m sorry folks, but while this Kroger is nice, prices can be a good bit higher than same brand elsewhere, even with the STUPID CARD. But it’s nice and quick (with the self checkout anyway) and it’s a great place to pick up a few items, but if I need major groceries, I go slug it out somewhere else.

Kroger is my go-​to grocery store. It’s always well stock, organized and clean. Lately the bagged salads in the produce department are not that desirable but other than that you can find me at this particular location picking up groceries. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

Quick run in for my caffeine fix, and thought I would buy a sandwich to take to work… Store as always is clean and well organized. The problems began when I made it to the deli to find a sandwich. The selection was abysmal, and there was no one there to work the build your own. The two people in the deli meats informed me they don’t work that station. After about 5 minutes I had no more to waste, and went to the checkout, where I and another customer waited about 3 minutes at the open register for the cashier to arrive. She then walked away to talked to her colleague before finishing my 4 item order.

My favorite Kroger store! It’s a little out of the way from where I work and go to school, but I love going here because they have sushi.
Actually that’s probably the only reason.
It’s a huge place and very clean. But I went to buy a cake one time, and the bakers weren’t very friendly. I was scanning the cakes and asked if they had ice cream cake. «It should be out there,» was the curt reply.
They also have a gas station, but most of the time you kind of have to wait in line to pour gas.
From my experience, the self checkout lines were always quicker than having to wait in line for a cashier.

I don’t know, ever since I’ve been exposed to Whole Foods I have a redefined understanding of «fresh» «local» «organic» «healthy» and «customer service.»
Sure, we go to this Kroger. There are a couple things that we go for. We RARELY do canned but when we make sauce we get their organic canned tomato sauce because it’s cheaper than Whole Foods, only because Whole Foods sells the 8oz and not the 16oz. Sometimes we get our organic tomatoes from Kroger but we honestly haven’t been in a while.
I always use the self-​checkout and the people there are on their phones, not paying attention, or talking to someone else. At the same time, I can only really compare it to other Kroger chains because Whole Foods is way out of it’s league, in terms of grocery stores. Excluding Whole Foods, this Kroger is better than other Kroger’s and other grocery stores. It’s clean and we can get things for cheaper. It’s just limited on it’s organic options and the organic options are more expensive than Whole Foods.
Will I go back, ya, but only for a handful of things and probably once every three weeks.

Easily the best grocery store in North Arlington. Tom Thumb a few doors down is over priced and under stocked compared to this kick ass Kroger Signature.
GREAT seafood selection and butcher. Amazing produce, all fresh and turned frequently. Also you can find stuff here that I doubt even Whole Foods has.
Prices are amazing considering the quality and variety you get. You pay regular Kroger prices for Tom Thumb/​Whole Foods quality. I dig this joint and drive past a regular Kroger and a Tom Thumb to get here.
