Yes the owner Osama seems to be a nice guy and have brought my vehicle to him before but after the last visit I’ve decided to go elsewhere.
I had issues with my brakes, so the decision was made to replace existing all the brakes.
I was more than willing to have the brakes done as I was concerned about the safety of driving the car.
I was never called that the car was ready to be picked up, the shop seems very disorganized if Osama is not there which on this occasion was the case.
After picking up the car, paying the bill and driving off I noticed I still had the same vibration on the front brakes. I went back to the shop Osama was back in the shop. Told him the brakes weren’t fixed, so he drove the car and noticed the vibration too.
He told me to just drive the car for a while and it should be fine
Well the problem continued and the next visit was not much help, as the brakes still vibrated! He suggested spending more money to maybe fix the problem, but his tone suggested it was a wild shot.

Went in today to get my VA state inspection and was quickly attended to by Osama. He was very friendly and provided me with a checklist once he had finished and a receipt. I was very happy with the quick service and good attitudes.

Great service. Great deal. Owner is very friendly and helpful and let me know when someone else was ripping me off. Definitely making this place my go-​to auto place!

Excellent service and price. It is a pleasure and a rarity to go to a tire shop and not feel ripped off. The owner is a gentleman and a pleasure to do business with. No up selling just a fair price and efficient service. Will definitely be back.

Needed to get oil change and break pad change. This place has really competitive and reasonable prices. Very honest about what needed to get done. Didn’t try to pull me in for excess charges like a lot of other places. Glad I found this gem. Will come back for future service.

Osama and his staff are genuinely good technicians and honest to a fault. I’ve had my car serviced by them for over five years, and always have a good experience, whether a large or small repair. This includes changing the transmission, brakes, belts, tune-​up, inspection, oil changes.
They’re absolutely the best and a great little local business to support!

*** Started this review in 2010, so my review reflects service from then. However, I did enjoy the service and they didn’t give me the stink eye for having a smart car, so my review still stands :)

This is the place to go to get your inspection done. They’re never too busy, and they do inspections quickly. They help you pass during the test if there are small things that need to be addressed. The owner Osama is a nice guy running a good neighborhood small business. For other repairs they have fair pricing and low diagnostic costs. Would go there again anytime my car needs servicing

Had a timing belt change done, but unfortunately the engine cover was refitted incorrectly which ended up nearly shredding the belt, I ended up taking it to Don Beyer Subaru Alexandria to have the belt replaced. Don Beyer pointed out the error and a tear in my right front axle boot that had been spitting grease onto the hot engine causing a burning smell since I’ve had the car — shouldn’t have been missed on the inspection. I’ll still take my car to Barcroft for routine work but not major.

I had my inspection done there. Fast and easy. $ 16. No complaints.

It took them a week to get in parts that were supposedly going to be available in only a day. But that’s okay. Timing isn’t everything, you know. So, we can safely say I was more than pleased to get to see my car back after missing it for three weeks. To my surprise, when I first got my car back, a brand new terrible clicking noise was coming from the back.
When I went back for them to finish their job (I had to pick it up, go on a trip and come back to get new wheels and struts on the car), in total $ 1500 was spent for new wheels, having to reset all of my radio settings, a new clicking noise on my car, a mysterious 400 miles on my car (perhaps 100 new miles per new tire just for good measure?), and for them to use at least a half a tank of gas. This ensured that my car, which has never seen the gas light before, because I treat it like a king, got to use the gas light for the first time (A definite plus!)
Basically, if you’re new to the area, and looking for a place to get screwed– and ladies, I know it’s a tough dating world out there– here’s your chance!
In addition, when I went to pick up the key to my car, they gave me two sets of keys, including one to a Ford– with the Ford logo written on the key. I drive a Saturn. Neither key was mine, so I guess if you’re looking for a free trade up, Barcroft Auto Center is also a good place to go.
Lastly, they aren’t all that good at timing and money, so make sure to ask how much the repair will cost and when approximately it will be done. Unless of course, you like the thrill of the chase…
UPDATE: I have discovered the reason why the car has 300 new miles on it. The owner of BAC’s car broke down last week and he needed a car to get around the county with while I was out of town. Whose car did he choose for his joy rides? This girl’s!
