The new Alewife Automotive Center is a full dual level Body Collision Repair Center and Complete Automotive Repair Center. With a totally revamped upper & lower repair area and the addition of a modern and high-​end waiting area, we are thrilled to have our loyal customers visit us with pride. We are also delighted to continue to carry the Hanson & Tilton Collision name that has been providing the highest quality of paint and collision repair since 1936. With the staff from both companies joining powers, we expect nothing less than superior Auto Repair & Collision Repair Quality under one roof! History

Established in 2001.

Hanson & Tilton Collision has been serving it’s clients from this location in Arlington since it was founded in 1836 and boasts three and four generations of return clients over many years. Current owner, Wayne Stevenson, moved in 2001 to allow Larry Malone and Joe Nunes the ability to enjoy retirement.

Wayne prides himself on providing cutting edge technology, and superior quality on every job. He believes in providing an honest opinion to every client, and guarantees his work with a lifetime guarantee.

This place is awesome. Period.
Over the last 6 months, two separate people decided it would be fun to crash into my car. Not good. The first time, I stumbled upon Hanson and Tilton through a friend and I never want to take my car anywhere else.
Wayne is fantastic. He is very good about communicating progress of the work. My last claims process was a nightmare due to delays by the insurance company, but Wayne and Hanson & Titon kept me sane. He also cares about doing good work and making your car look like new. (Also — both times, my car has come back with a clean interior as well!)
I hope I don’t need their services again, but if I do, at least I’ve got a place I trust.

Just stellar work and service with a great sense of customer service and loyalty. They worked on my 15 year old car that I want to get to 1 MM miles, and it looks like it came off the showroom.
Most importantly, it was done when they said, within the estimate, and Wayne communicated throughout via email. Just wonderful.

I just went to pick up my daughter from a music class across the street from this place and got cat called by one of the «men» in there. Seriously? By all means go there for repairs if you enjoy getting your car worked on by misogynistic creeps.

My 9-​month old 2010 Subaru was sideswiped by a big, black BMW. The entire passenger side was dented. The back quarterpanel of the hatch was crushed and the wheelwell damaged, the back door was deeply nicked, the front door crunched, and the front wheelwell crunched. I was so unhappy.
My mechanic Steve at Arlington BP said one thing: take it to Wayne at Hanson & Tilton. Don’t go anywhere else.
And he was so right. Wayne took in the car, helped me arrange for a rental, estimated the repair time quite accurately and did an amazing job. When I got the car back, it was perfect, maybe even better than new — the paint color somehow seems richer. The interior was clean, all my stuff was there. I couldn’t be happier.
Hanson & Tilton was on my Arbella insurance ‘recommended’ list. Other friends have taken cars there with similarly excellent experiences.
