Bentley’s Pet Stuff

Got a chance to finally see what the new store looks like. I was very impressed with the shear size of it much more room, cute treat bar, love the tree behind the counter. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable, and very nice. it’s a toys r us for dog’s with buffet, since they everything a dog could ask for.

After years of shopping at Bentley’s in Arlington Heights, Schaumburg, Long Grove, and Libertyville, I am so thrilled to finally say there’s a store in Crystal Lake, and it is just as wonderful as the other stores in our favorite pet store line!
Lisa and Giovanni have always treated both human and canine customers with great warmth and respect, and they’ve passed that along to all the workers in their employ. I can always count on my Maltese, Minnie, getting showered with attention, treats, and love, no matter which Bentley’s we shop. She especially loves shopping the «chewies,» aka bully sticks, pizzles, moo taffy, etc., and I love that they actually keep her occupied for more than a few minutes! The Crystal Lake store has treat carts that resemble old-​fashioned wooden produce carts, and they’re adorable! We were bouncing back and forth between the one that contained bully sticks and the one that featured Whimzees, so there might have even been a third cart. I can’t remember because we stocked up on a bunch of items from the other two before investigating other areas of the store.
We also bought some new canned food to try, which is never a concern for me because Lisa and Giovanni take great pride in selecting food and treats that are healthy and high-​quality and good for our best friends’ digestion. They’ve also given us mini sample bags of dry food to try (my Maltese eats both wet and dry) so we can see if she likes it before we buy a larger bag. It’s a huge relief to shop somewhere that treats animals with such genuine care.
And of course, the thing that first drew us to Bentley’s back in Arlington Heights was the doggie bakery case! Doggie cookies, donuts, birthday cakes, cannolis … we’ve tried most if not all of them, and they’re just as much fun for me to purchase as they are for Minnie to eat.
I could ramble on for days about what a great pet store Bentley’s is, but the best thing I can tell you is to just head on in and experience it for yourself. I’ve recommended Bentley’s to dozens of animal-​owning friends, and every one falls in love with it just as we did. :)

This store is the former Bentley’s Corner Barkery on Evergreen. They’ve since changed their name and location, but it is still the same great service and products (toys, food, treats, wearable items) only in a larger store about a 5 minute walk from their old location.
We’ve had a few dogs and have bought food from several different suppliers because we were always in search of the best. When we found Bentley’s, we discovered a place committed to only carrying food they know to be the highest quality because they care about our pet as much as we do.
One of the things they do to guarantee the food quality that sets them apart from other food suppliers and impresses me enough to earn my loyalty, is that every time they get a shipment of food, they check all the ingredients to make sure the supplier hasn’t substituted ingredients to make a better profit at the expense of degrading the quality of the food. That attitude tells me I can trust them to always deliver the best food I can buy for my dog.

Just went by their store. It has a «For Rent» sign on the Windows!!! I thought they were just closed for remodeling!

If you love your dog and you live in Arlington Heights you should absolutely we already shopping at Bentleys. The staff is friendly and extremely knowledgeable and their prices are very reasonable for their high quality selection. I love bringing my dog into Bentleys to pick out some treats and snacks for my favorite furry friend! Keep up the good work Bentleys!

I discovered Bentley’s Corner Barkery from when I used to go to Pure Juice Café right down the street. I love the atmosphere of the store, their selection and the activities/​vendor events they host. They routinely have sales on different brands of dog food and pass on raw dog food vendor coupons to customers instead of keeping them as profits for themselves. The staff recognized me and my beagle pup Lucy when I took her to the Schaumburg store (now moved to Hoffman Estates). I like being able to bring her to a store where she is welcome.
The owner helpfully came over to help me when I was looking for a natural dog food for my pup. He advised me on grain-​free foods because of Lucy’s breed and provided me several free samples to try on Lucy. Lucy is a very picky eater and had already rejected several different kibbles and wet dog food. She loved the Stella & Chewy’s but threw it up. They took it back without any hassle. Eventually, another knowledgeable staff member told me how there is no single kibble that appeals to a variety of dogs
My colleague shops here for her rescue pit bull puppy and recommended the indestructible Bionic toys. Lucy could not destroy it like she did all her stuffed toys and the PetsMart squeaky dragon that was supposed to keep squeaking when when punctured by puppy teeth. My pup is very playful and oves rubbing her head/​body in the grass. I like their natural ear rinse with cloves since it guards her flappy ears against ear infections and masks the post-​play odor of her head.
I highly recommend this store to dog owners who are willing to spend a little extra for natural pooch products.

My family and I have been shopping here since the day Bentley’s opened! Not only did I see knowledgable staff, but I saw people who honestly cared about what our pets eat. my dogs love Fromm and love the life of Riley Treats. I recently adopted a new puppy, and as soon as I came through the door to buy some toys and training treats one of the staff ran up and offered to watch my pup while I shopped around! :) I can honestly say, I look forward to going to Bentley’s as much as my pup does!

Bentley’s is everything that a small business should be. Their facilities are always immaculate and clean; never smells like pups! They have expanded their brand into multiple stores which can often be the downfall of a business. This is definitely NOT the case here! You can tell each store is given the time and attention it deserves and held to high standards.
The owners are truly amazing animal lovers who have dedicated their lives to providing the highest quality of pet food and supplies to their community. The staff at each store is knowledgeable and friendly, often remembering personal facts about customers (both 2 and 4 legged!).
I am a veterinary technician at a local clinic, and refer all of my clients to their local Bentley’s for their pet supply needs. They have a huge selection of quality pet food from trustworthy suppliers so I never worry about where the food is coming from. The Bentley’s reward program is great too, where you spend XX dollars, you will get a certain amount off on your next purchse.
At home, one of my pups is a lil Nekkid Chinese Crested and they have a wonderful selection of high quality clothing to keep her protected from the elements when she needs to be.
I could go on for days about my love for Bentley’s, but you get the idea. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Everyone should become a Bentley’s customer!

Not to sound like a broken record, as all the other reviews here are 5stars. But we love this place. The people are great. The food is reasonably priced. And it’s locally owned, selling mostly local products, what’s not to love!

We just love this place! We’ve been coming here for the past 2 almost 3 years. The selection of healthy food and treats is amazing, the owners and the entire staff are very sweet/​helpful/​knowledgeable, and our little French Bulldogs feel right at home whenever they are able to stop by with us. In fact, our pups love the shop so much that whenever we are near, they start to veer of in that direction even if that’s not where we’re going, or if we’re passing by, they’ll just stop dead in their tracks in front of door — that’ll really throw you off guard if you aren’t ready for it. Would definitely recommend!

We brought our Lucy here to get some special bakery treats for her first birthday. She loved it and was like a kid in a candy store (no, maybe that was us). The staff greeted her with treats and when she sat and offered her paw they thought it was so cute that she got even more. She walked through the store sniffing everything and picked out some of her own presents. She also got some special Happy Birthday frosted treats from the bakery counter and walked out a happy dog. The small store carries just about everything you could want and there’s a small parking lot in the back.

What can I say about Bentley’s? Personally not much. But my dog Coco Joe Rodriguez, (aka #RocketJoe44, #mansbestfriend) has this to say:
–I like duck, venison, salmon, tuna, and foods with vegetables. I can find it all here!
–I like toys that last. They have them!
–I am always the best dressed Chiweenie Dog in the room. And they have a fine selection of apparel to fit my active lifestyle! One cannot be dressed inappropriately when chasing chipmunks and squirrels!

What an adorable pet shop! Don’t get lost in the «bakery» element. Yes, they have a great variety of fresh baked goods for your furbaby but they also have toys, food, clothes, and much much more. Pretty much most things you need for your pet! They have the high end stuff (merrick, fromm, stella & chewy, etc) for reasonable prices! They offer frequent shopper perks plus additional perks for food purchases. I live in the city but work out here a few times a week. I am very pleased with this place. They have a great return policy on their goods which I find to be priceless when it comes to my diva morkie! I’m talking they allow returns for clothes, shoes, food, etc. I will be returning pretty frequently!

Stopped in this cute little shop today with my new puppy. Kevin greeted me and immediately began asking questions regarding his food. He was full of knowledge and support to a new dog owner like myself. He was very kind and helpful to both me and my pup! We left with lots of yummy, healthy samples and some fun goodies for Clyde. Will definitely be back based on the amazing customer service!

Such a cute little doggy bakery my puppies loved all their snacks i got them. They carry a bunch of organic stuff and the prices are pretty good. The staff is very nice and helpful. Also if you sign up for their mailing list they give you a little goody bag w dog food and some treats inside!

I see you checking in at all these nice restaurants to stuff your face with marvelous food. Yeah, I’m talking to YOU! But what about your little friend at home?! They deserve a little surf and turf from time to time, too!
Bentley’s Corner Barkery, located in downtown Arlington Heights, is a locally owned and operated pet food store. They provide natural, healthy, and organic products for your pet. Yes, some things are probably a little more expensive than what you may be buying now, but most of it is actually not much more money and is affordable. Plus, you can spend a couple extra bucks on your fur ball of a family member. Lately, I’ve been picking up my kitty some Fromm cat food in different varieties of flavors, and let me tell you… she can’t get enough! «Meow, meow, meow», while nudging the bag, is all I hear from her. She sure doesn’t do that when I feed her Purina. Nothing against Purina, which we still purchase, but now that she’s tasted the good stuff, she has a deeper appreciation for food, like myself. ;) That, or she’s just really hungry.
At Bentley’s they also have… wait for it… a bakery case filled with all kinds of treats for your pet! If you don’t have a pet, it’s a good spot to snag something for a friend’s feline. They have cannoli, biscotti, sport themed cookies, cupcakes, treats with funny sayings, donuts, and more. They even have birthday cakes! Oh yeah, people celebrate their pet’s birthdays. Not me, but people do.
The staff is always friendly and as helpful as can be. Everyone has been informative any time I’ve gone in. They have your pets information stored in their computers so it helps personalize your experience. You can even bring your lil’ guy in to shop with you if you like!
Your pet wants you to shop at Bentley’s Corner Barkery. Trust me.

This place. They got all that. Okay, I didn’t witness any human sacrifice, per se, but I’d be willing to bet 90% of the owners and shop-​keeps here would gladly throw themselves in front of a bus to help a furred friend, so I’m gonna count that.
Right when I walked in I knew this place was a total 5-​star. They’re doing a beer-​drive (like instead of raising money, they’re collecting donations of beer) for an event a local animal shelter that I’ve actually had my eyes on for a while that helps elderly and abused animals find their forever home is throwing this month. I could spend hours on their site and while the stories are sometimes heartbreaking, it’s really nice to see that this foundation (Young at Heart pet rescue —
) exists.
Their selection of food, toys and baked treats was on point. So on point that I bought a bunch of dog bagels and biscotti from the bakery and I don’t even have a dog! … but I do have many friends with dogs so I happy to be able to support this store and gift some tasty goods to a pup named Riley.
I was also impressed with their selection of cat products, of which I do have a mild need for… not that my little dudes need any more toys or treats, but I like to spoil them every once in a while even though they aren’t always the best behaved. They carry the best cat tree (locally made from local wood) that I already have two of, but they had a design that I’d never seen before and it was tempting to drop another small fortune on another tree, but I worried that my loving roomie who also happens to be allergic to cats, might kick my ass out if I came home with another giant cat tree.
They carry my guys’ favorite brand of cat nip products (Yeowza) as well as some locally-​made dried fish good that I got thinking they love — but they weren’t too sure. One of my boys ate it, one just sniffed his, and the other snapped the heads off, which I found laying around my apartment in various spots while searching the floor for a fumbled earring. So now there’s actual smelt fish heads all over my place, but they were nominally priced and I think I can train them to eat the rest properly so as to avoid the heads all over in the future.
I picked up a few toys, too, in addition to the Yeowza brand catnip banana that my guys totally freak for. One of the toys was called ‘Shelby the long-​tailed hemp mouse’, and they pretty much fought over who got to ‘kill’ it first. It was super cute… you know, as far as killing machines go.
In the end, I had one hell of an experience and I was downright shocked with how affordable everything was. I can’t recommend this place enough and can’t wait to head back for more goods for my boys.

What they don’t have is a huge selection of doggie accessories.
What they do have is great customer service, well informed staff, and healthy food and treats for dogs!
I brought my Great Dane with on a shopping expedition and Mikey was offered a tasty sample of a chicken treat (not made in China) which he happily gobbled up and began drooling!

If I could write this review from my dog’s perspective it would read a little something like this…
…mmm fresh treats… is that a cannoli?! want. i smell food. lots of organic food. my mommy makes me eat that stuff. i think it’s better than the grocery store crap, or that’s at least what she tells me. yay for grain free, i think.
…*sniff sniff*…there were a lot of dogs in this store. good thing there aren’t any in here right now because I hate my own kind. oh hey nice store lady, thanks for the treat. oh look, toys. beds. collars. more food. i like this place, as long as i’m the only doggie in here. bishes.
So, there you have it. organic food, nice, knowledgeable staff and plenty of treats and fun for the pups in one local shop.
