JPM Catering and Events

Delicious seasonal food. Just had JPM cater my wedding this weekend — the service and food were exceptional. Not only does Jen know her stuff, she is an extraordinarily sweet person. Thank you JPM! We had so many compliments on the food!

The good:
Jennifer’s attention to detail, commitment to high quality food, and outstanding service.
The scene:
A summertime Sunday morning wedding with 90 guests where any number of things could have gone wrong. A lot of the rentals we were using were shared by a catering company who worked a wedding at our venue the night before. At THAT wedding, the power went out. Despite this, we arrived to find the area cleaned, rentals stacked and waiting. Jennifer’s crew wasted no time in getting things set up and they really knew the score without having to ask a busy bride/​groom/​wedding party where exactly things needed to go. They were on top of it. People gathering for the ceremony were treated to miniature donuts garnished with fresh strawberries. The cocktail hour that followed the ceremony featured mimosas and bellinis (a peach purée champagne cocktail that was really a home run). When the reception began and we were seated, table service (of champagne) was given to us more or less immediately by three different servers who were very pleasant and helpful. Food was brought to my bride and I and oh my goodness, it was delicious. Brunch food to die for; french toast with local fruit toppings, juicy pork sausage, sweet potato hash, three kinds of quiche, a heaping tray of bacon. Jennifer also gracefully accommodated an outside dessert which we provided. We purchased a bunch of pies elsewhere and she brought an amazing multi-​tiered platform to put them on. Again, all was set up without the need for frivolous questions and the tasteful décor was almost as tasty as the food itself. The staff of JPM worked tirelessly through the 93 degree heat and were always quick to refill water or champagne glasses. One bartender with a shaved head was particularly hilarious and obliging.
The great!:
In our planning sessions, we mentioned a slight Peter Pan theme to our wedding featuring lots of feathers, clocks, crocodiles, that sort of thing. Jennifer went the extra mile and talked to another client of JPM’s, a clock repair specialist, who then secured us a bunch of clock parts to use as centerpieces/​decorations for free.
We appreciated Jennifer’s hard work so much, it really made our day that much more special.

JPM catered a party for more than 100 at house last weekend.
Here’s what was great:

Here’s what was not great: nothing.
In short, this was a perfect catering experience. In particular, we were able to have a party that had the look and feel of one that we hosted/​cooked ourselves, but only scaled up to a size that of course we could not handle ourselves. This was the product of three visits to the house scouting things out, 2 reconnaissance missions to the tasting room, and countless emails. That is, JPM does its homework and delivers on it.
Especially for people who are catering for the first time –like us – JPM Catering is a particularly excellent choice.

J did a lunch buffet Party celebration for 40 persons last May 2014 in my home. It was amazing. The center pieces were unique, eye catching and created the exact drama and ambience. The food was delicious, beautiful, original and displayed perfectly. She was very inventive, open to suggestions, very accommodating, turning out impeccable quality at every turn.
Her serving staff were excellent. I can’t say enough positive things. Best of all everyone in attendance whether a foodery or not, young or mature raved about the food, display, experience, center pieces. Could anyone ask for more from an experience? Ruth Yaskin

JPM Catering has a place in Ardmore, PA called the «Tasting Room». I went in there a few weeks back and got the best meal I have had in quite a while. I found out how a Rubin sandwitch can become something extra special so I suggest you give them a try. They have differnet specials each day so you never know what you will find. Though I have not used their catering the store front offers a nice place to grab a bite

We were so fortunate to find JPM Catering and Jennifer for our wedding on June 1^st. We started the planning process very early, about a year or more in advance, and Jennifer made our decision to choose them very well worth it. She was so helpful with any questions that I had and made me feel like a less crazy person for having so many questions in the first place! Our wedding was in a photography loft studio, Power Plant Productions, where you have to bring in your own catering. At first this scared me because you are basically doing a lot on your own, but it ended up working out really well for us because it became more personal.
The actual day of the wedding went by seamlessly. JPM had everything set up and ready by the time our ceremony started. I really didn’t even notice one hiccup along the way. The serving staff was friendly, welcoming, and extremely helpful. Our guests had really great things to say about them. The food was also awesome. Jennifer worked with us in our menu planning and helped us to incorporate our love for Germany by having an entrée option of chicken schnitzle with brown butter spaetzle. I’m glad we got to taste both of our entrees at our tasting way before the wedding because I was a ball of nervous energy the day of! Everything was really delicious.
The thing I heard the most chatter about was their signature cocktail, the Mandarin Kiss. I think probably half of our guests came over to tell me how much they loved the drink (which may have been heavily influenced by bourbon… but hey so what?!).
We were incredibly happy with JPM and would recommend them to anyone looking for a catering company that supports local, sustainable practices, but is also just really awesome!

We used JPM to cater our wedding in June 2012, and could not have been happier. Jennifer did a great job working with us on the menu, and showed great flexibility as we had 2 locations for her to cover. The wedding day came off without a hitch. Everything, from the drinks to the snacks to the meals and after, everything was great. The food was even better than I’d remembered from the tasting — this is not standard «wedding food», it was delicious!
The staff were also prompt and professional.
We think JPM did a fantastic job, and highly recommend their services. Would use again in a heatbeat!
