Complete auto repair on all vehicle makes (American, European, and Asian) and models including SUV’s, trucks, hybrids and diesels. We are a free company. We are environmentally conscious company, oil is reclaimed and used in off shore ships for fuel, we pay to have antifreeze cleaned and reused, batteries are stripped of precious metals, and all metals are recycled, floors are cleaned and mopped so no oily water runs into storm drains. Our filters are shredded and recycled. Air conditioning Free-​on is evacuated, tested for contaminates and if clean reused.

Rathy and VJ started VJ’S Auto Service in a 300 sq. foot one stall gas station 15 years ago. We grew our business steadily and consistently over the years. We were very fortunate to have great number of customers support helped us to expand and relocate in 2001. This move gave us the room we needed for further expansion and better timely service to our customers.

VJ in own right is a Master Technician. We have seven full time employees, eight bays and a total of 5000 sq. between two buildings. We repair & service all foreign and domestic vehicles. We also repair any size recreational vehicles.

We are blessed with two children who are 19 and 15 years old. Our daughter Diviya is in her junior year in University and our son Dharshan a sophomore in high school.

I want to say thank you to Michael at VJ’s Auto Service. On May 23, I was driving around in my significant other’s 2DR Lexus 1990– excellent condition, and then when I parked the car… I noticed the splash guard had fallen off. I got nervous and quickly searched via Unilocal for an auto repair shop that can fix it right away.
Michael took my car in. And the car was fixed within 10 mins. He was patient and very kind. He also did not charge me. (I was expecting a whoppin’ $ 50).
I am very grateful for VJ’s Auto Service. The facility is clean. Service is terrific. Reps were patient on the phone with me.

Reasonable labor rate! Quick and friendly service! I took my dad’s car here to change a belt. This place was about 40 bucks cheaper than the dealership. Great follow up too! Got a phone call after the repair, and even a letter in my mail! Above and Beyond!

Had been looking for a place to service my Chevy. The dealership I bought it closed. That was a few years ago so would have had to find one anyway. I came to VJ’s when my engine light came on. I got a ride home and waited to hear what was wrong with my car. Michael to tell me that my car was burning oil faster than expected so my oil was low. Well it turned out that my transmission may need servicing. My initial reaction was, «NO» but I agreed that they check and d the work. Well a little while later I got a call from Michael,. Turns out the parts that needed servicing were under warranty. Not only did they get my car to the dealership in Pasadena but they spoke with their mechanics themselves and took care of keeping me updated as to the repairs. Then they picked it up & brought it back to VJs. Best customer service I have ever had. I am thrilled to have found this awesome shop!

The business owner is misrepresenting what happened. On day one they informed me that the filter they had in stock was rusty and they were waiting for a new one, I told them I would wait and pick up the RV the next day with oil changed. The next day I called to see if it was ready and was told I needed new tires and the oil change would not be performed unless I spent $ 1,500 on tires. On day Two I told them I would pick it up with no service performed. Later that day I agreed to purchase their tires at an outrageous price. I hadn’t much choice I was already 24 hours late on my trip.
Checking tire pressure as required by statute means just that, properly inflate the tires. Not harass the public to spent money.

We recently moved to the San Gabriel Valley and had to find a new auto mechanic. Fortunately I checked on Unilocal and found VJs. Everything about VJs is great from it’s convenient online scheduling availability to its exceptional customer service. Although their estimate for everything that needed fixing was higher than the actual cost after the repairs were made, I was relieved to be offered a credit option that allows me to pay the total off within 6 months without interest. On top of that, I received a discount as a AAA member. But I was really most impressed by the customer service, particularly the respect, care and consideration with which I was treated. I was offered transportation when I left my car off, but didn’t require it since my husband was able to pick me up. There was a small but comfortable waiting area. The personnel were all friendly and personable. I won’t hesitate to return to VJs as needed or to recommend it to family and friends.

Fixed rv in a day and the bumped rv pulled in right behind

I am extremely please with the service that was offered and the work that was done on my car. The roof of my convertible top 350z opened up while I was driving on the freeway at 7:00 AM. I could no longer drive and there were not many shops open at that hour except Vj’s. The staff was great — warm, helpful, did not try to rip me off at all. They explained everything to me in great detail and told me what the problem was. This is not where it ends, they actually troubleshooted the issue for me and came up with an alternative, cost-​effective resolution for me! Which is what I really really appreciated. I did not have to wait too long, and was able to doze off comfortably in their guest lounge. Not only all this, they even followed up with me to make sure that everything was working find and I did not encounter any further issues. I live in the Valley (about an hour out from where they are located) but I will still choose to drive all the way out to Vj’s to get any service done on my car hereon. Thank you so much!

I had to have the entire a/​c system replaced on my 2005 Jaguar S-​type. This involved removing the entire dashboard & center console. I wanted to inspect the dashboard once removed and VJ’s called me just as I asked and allowed me to visually inspect as well as take many detailed photos of the car. The tech was highly skilled and we went over everything that was removed. Since everything else was in great shape, nothing additional needed replacement. He noted someone had worked in the center console, as there were some screws missing. He said he would make sure he replaced them! The tech also cleaned and vacuumed everything before putting it all back together. I love that their work has a 2-​year, 24,000 mile warrantee. I was worried that there might be scratches or dirt marks, but when I picked up the car, it was cleaned and looked just like new. Wow. Although this was a pricey, labor-​intensive job, the a/​c blows ice-​cold at idle (and above) and I am confident everything in the dash is assembled just as when the vehicle was new. They noted that the front end needs bushing work, and provided a detailed quote. Not pushy, and I will be back to do that work. This is a shop that is as professional as the dealer, but without the dealer-​gouging prices.

Awesome service! I took my car to another place and they told me that I needed a new alternator for my car, which later I found out that I didn’t need one. I took it to VJ’s, and they told me that I just needed a new battery. My car’s been running great ever since. Such an honest bunch of employees. They are great. They are the definition of customer service. They even went above and beyond to fix my side mirror. :) Definitely recommend these guys.

Go to the dealer… it’s cheaper! Had work done, part was $ 90 at local auto shop VJ charged $ 250! Labor was $ 350. Called local dealership asked for a estimate and they quoted less.

Took in my 2003 Ford Expedition to VJ’s for the first time. The A/​C air was not coming out the 4 main vents and there was a clicking sound each time I put on the rear air. Tommy was very helpful and Bruno did an excellent job repairing both issues. Had my car back that same day! I asked them to check the rest of the car and was advised to change all my cooling system hoses which had been on for 12 years! Just found out the work I had done at VJ’s was way overpriced!!! My bad for not doing my research! Expensive lesson learned. That is why I had to go from 5 to 3 stars. Although I will say VJ’s does quality work, just way too expensive! The exact same repair at another local shop was $ 350 less! Don’t be fooled by the AAA endorsement. It only rates quality of work and does not factor in cost of repair. VJ’s recently saved me money by advising me not to use Arco gas and to switch to 76 or Chevron. I filled up with 76 and added a bottle of Lucas Upper Cylinder Lubricant and Fuel Injector Cleaner to my gas tank which solved the problem I was having with sluggishness, rough idle and hesitation at freeway speeds. There was also a noticeable power increase! Thanks VJ’s! I raised my rating from 3 to 4 stars for their helpfulness but high cost of repairs keeps me from giving them 5 stars. Had to go from 4 to 3 stars based on recent discovery of unsatisfactory repair. A special nut with a collar was found by me under the seat where the rear passenger side seat belt guide had been taken off to access a panel in the back to replace an A/​C servo. The mechanic used a regular nut to reattach the seat belt guide which resulted in the seat belt getting jammed often. As soon as I removed the regular nut and replaced it with the collared nut I found, the jamming problem was resolved! Very disappointing!

These guys were so helpful in getting an issue fixed. They took my truck in right away, were super-​friendly, and extremely attentive. These are guys who clearly care a good deal about what they do, in addition to actually knowing what they’re doing. They’re not really close to where I live, but I’ll make the long trek to Arcadia for future service.

I came in due to a coolant leak. I wasn’t sure where it was coming from. I didn’t have much time but Vj’staff offered me a ride to work while they inspect my vehicle. I later on received a courtesy call from Vj’s staff and I was informed that I had a radiator leak. Not only did they get an Enterprise vehicle delivered to me at work but Vj’s provided a welcomed discounted rate. Best service I received anywhere!!! Thank You Vj, Bryan, Tommy, Jose and the rest of the staff.

Overall, this is an overpriced mechanic. They staff is very pleasent to deal with, however the bottomline is I was charged more then the Hyundai dealership to replace my 2011 hyundai sonata starter; I know this because I called the Hyundai dealership in Glendora and they gave me a quote. They were booked for the day so I went to VJs.
Only go here if you have no other choice…

Horrible… took advantage of me. estimate for $ 148 to fix my 1968 Mercedes that needed new spark plugs and hoses. Went to pick up the car and they charged me $ 1533. without even telling me the cost of the new estimate!!! am reporting them to the Board of Automotive repair immediately.

I love taking my car into VJ’s! When it comes to repairs on my car, I’m always skeptical about who is servicing it. I currently live in Sherman Oaks but am always willing to make the drive to Arcadia to get it serviced at VJ’s.
Not only is the customer service awesome, but VJ does a very thorough job with every bit of the repair to see that I’m satisfied. He also includes me in the process, educating me every step of the way with the service. And if something ever goes wrong, he immediately gets back to work on it until everything is in top running shape.
Ultimately the greatest feeling I get when I go in to the shop is that he treats me like a family member! I love it!
