My name is Tuan Nguyen. i have been working in the automotive repair industry for over 18 years as an automotive technician for various dealerships and independent repair facilities. Throughout all the years I have taken into account all of the good and the bad things done by both independent shops and dealerships. After growing tired of working for impersonal dealerships and less than moral independent shops I decided to open my own facility geared at providing both the personal and financially reasonable service of an independent shop and matching it with the renown quality of workmanship and reliability of a dealership. It will be my pleasure to serve you in the near future.

The kind of stranger that drives by your house to see your car on jack-​stands and stops to see what’s going on …
… comes back 15mins later and fixes your problem that you’ve had for three days in less than ten minutes. Shakes you hand and tells me he lives down the street; if I ever need anymore help …
To only recognize, weeks later, he has a Fast Autoworks sticker really small on his car and I ask him about it — and he answers «yea, I work there — bring your car or your family’s car for any maintenance if ever needed»
… that’s the humble guy here at Fast Autoworks — who never mentioned he worked at a shop when he lent a hand two weeks prior. This is the type of people that work here — real, humble skilled professionals that are not OUT to get you or make money off additional service.
The story above was a real situation for myself about 10 years ago — and I still try to bring my car back to him because of his kind gesture, great work, and honest business.
Whether it’s just an oil change, regular maintenance or you want to tune your new wheels for some extra power — go no where else!

First off I just want to say the people here are really nice. I recently took my 2013 mustang because I had some body parts to put on, I had roush side and rear splitters, rear diffuser and front lip installed. Once the installation was done i noticed that they didn’t use any of the roush screws or even bothered to put the 3m tape as per the directions, as for the front lip, the roush directions said the stock lip had to be cut to fit properly, the stock lip was not even touched and the roush was put on top of it by force, it was just screwed on with some screws as well and guess what! It fell off on the freeway a week later!!! I am so pissed off in their lack of professionalism because they are a reputable company. I spent a lot of money on these parts and $ 400 on labor on these people. My car makes alot of noises as if something is flapping and its the parts i had taken to them and now they are falling off or are now completely off. I am so dissatisfied at the work done to my car. Hope everyone else has better luck than myself.

Absolute worst mechanic I have ever dealt with. I brought my Honda Civic in with a blown head gasket and they were to repair it. The owner replaced the head gasket and within days of leaving the shop the car overheated again. This time he told me it was the radiator and I would have to pay him an additional $ 300. Keep in mind he told us the radiator was bad because it had rusted out… honda radiators are aluminum and plastic… no steel. After paying that bill I took the car home and it overheated again, we took it back again and he stated that the radiator fans were bad and that would be an additional $ 300. I left to have the fans checked and found out they were both fine and that there was another problem. I also found that there was a coolant leak and that the new radiator cap they installed was bad. I took the car to a different mechanic that found that the oil had water in it and that the head gasket was not repaired properly. When I contacted the owner all he kept saying was no, no, no over and over again like a broken record and told me if I had a problem with his work I should come down and say it to his face. Very confrontational, took advantage of my son and the fact my Wife was in the hospital recovering from heart surgery to over charge us over $ 1,000. If you want to be taken for a ride this is the place to go, they will bleed very penny out of you if you let them.

A big factor in any shop that you entrust your prized possession with is the relationship. It does not have to be a long relationship, but sometimes it is just a matter of gut feeling. My gut feeling comes from an interaction with someone. The phone call was a little… let’s just say interesting, but the negotiation was what really got me here. The face to face interaction was what made me feel more at ease. After waiting 2 hours for my coilover installation, I went home feeling secure.
Little did I know that a week later there was going to found an installation that was incomplete. Coming in again a little discouraged, I at least left quickly without hassle and without questions asked. Phew! One of the best things a shop can do is treat you well while ensuring all the needs are met. I might just have to come back for my other modification needs.

I usually come here to get all of my car maintenance needs taken care of by Tuan!
First things first, I have a modded luxury sedan, and I am very picky about who works on my car. With that being said, I have been to Fast Autoworks numerous times for oil changes, a brake pad change, etc. and they have provided excellent customer service each time that I was there.
Tuan is very courteous and no BS; he will listen to your problem and help take care of it. He charges fairly and will not give you the run-​around about what is causing your car problem.
There is a couch in the reception area, so you can sit and hang out while you wait for your car to be worked on.
If you need a mechanic, this is your place!

I have them to do the installation of exhaust and intake on my ford edge. The whole experience is nothing but an excellent experience. The cost of the installation is very reasonable. The quality of the work is excellent. They are very knowledgeable as well.
I called in to make an appointment for the first thing in the morning. I dropped my car next day and it’s completed without any issue and timely fasion.
I will recommend them to anyone needs the car work.

So I got a little crazy with my tire fitment. yes, tire fitment. I have an 2014 WRX running 17×9 +35 with some 255÷40÷17. After throwing my wheels on, my tires were slicing the shit out of my tires. I immediately started searching for a shop to roll my fenders in fear of needing to replace $ 600 in tires.
I found Fast Autoworks and realized a few of my friends have visited this shop. I’ve been out of the car scene and industry for years so my view towards import shops was not very high. I was hesitant to entrust my brand new car with Tuan and Alec, but oh man, much respect for the work they did.
They were booked and although I made an appointment for 2PM, it was about 3PM before they got to my car. A little aggravating, but no biggie. They pulled my car in and started working on it around 3:15PM. What made my day was the fact that there were two guys working on my fenders. One guy was heating the fenders to prevent paint cracking while the other guy adjusted the fender roller. Oh yes I was impressed.
30 min later they were done and I have to admit they did a pretty good job. No more rubbing, no waves on either fender, and both sides were completely even. I think my happiness has a lot to do with the fact that my car is perfectly drivable now. I did some extensive canyon driving after an alignment at JC Autohouse, and there’s no rubbing at all! Steezy as hell!

The guys here have honest work, and they do literally just about everything when it comes to cars, from a simple oil change, to fender rolling, to swapping engines. But note that this is still originally based as a mechanics shop (as far as I’m concerned). They’re also a vendor of just about anything related to cars, so a lot of times I find it convenient to just go through them for parts. Tuan, Alec, and JJ are all very helpful. There’s times where they get busy and is difficult to move work around, but your needs will still be taken care of. I pretty much exclusively bring my car to them now for whatever I need, and recommend all my family & friends to do the same.
Oh, and not to mention, they’re actually AAA certified.

I come across this looking for a website on one of the most loyal perfectionist in the industry called fast autoworks and all i can say is wow… Twuan deserve repect for all his good work on something he has come to master in life and share. Kevin is by far one of the most knowledgable people i have come to meet. I own one of the cleanest s2000 in the sgv thanks to Fast Autoworks so keep the hate to urself because if you have dealed with them personally you know all this BS said on this post definitely has to be a joke-​land fan. lol On another note i never recomend people unless i have had the out most BEST service let alone experience… FASTAUTOWORKSALLDAY if u want more then expected to be achieved for you.

I’ve been going to Tuan and company for the past 4 years or so. The service is always good, prompt, and if there is a hitch or delay, they make sure to call me and keep me in the loop. The prices I think are fair, no one on either side of the equation is coming out far ahead.
I first came to him to replace my belts, which the dealer wanted to charge an insane amount for. after shopping around, I decided to go with Fast Autoworks, and I can honestly say my car ran as smooth as the first day I got it. 160,000 miles and counting, so they’ve done well by me.

I brought in my 2008 VW Passat after reading the great reviews on Unilocal.When arriving, the first thing that I notice is this is more of a tuner shop, geared towards Hondas and Japanese imports. There were a lot of fixed up rides in the front. The funny thing also is that I think there are only 3 people that work at this place and about 5 others that just hang out and «kick it». It didn’t look very professional to me and everyone there looked under 30. I decided to try it out anyway and brought my car in for a 15k service. I dont like to go to the VW dealer as they were charging a lot more. The guy wrote up the quote and said the car should be done end of day.
I picked up the car as promised and found out they also washed it. Not bad! That night, I drove my car and heard a strange scratching noise. I look under and it looked like they didn’t screw in my under panel correctly when removing it for the oil change! I had my dad take a look and he said, they missed 3 screws! Great, I didn’t want to bring it back so my dad had to fix it for me. A good mechanic is very hard to come by, when they tell you they did something, you can only trust their word as you’re not sure what they’ve done under the hood. In my case, I felt they were very careless and probably did a rush job. Missing 3 screws on the under tray, I wonder what else they missed when performing my maintenance?!

I’m updating my review based on a few things. When I had my initial suspension installation done here, I was quoted $ 60 for some additional work I needed to install a camber kit. After getting my alignment done and confirming the camber kit installation was needed, I called back and confirmed the price.
It has been over 2.5 months and just now did I find the time to buy the kit. I called to schedule an appointment today, and the quote more than doubled in price to $ 130! I’m no mechanic but judging from what I’ve read about this particular installation, it’s an hour’s worth of work on my car. So unless their rates just doubled, I don’t get the inconsistency. Then I called back to ask for a quote on some lighting installation, to which I was quoted $ 185, a sky high price for the exact labor I had done on an old car by a reputable shop in Texas for about $ 75.
With quotes like these, there’s no point spending the time driving out to Arcadia for custom car work. There’s not even a point calling anymore. Disappointing.
