I just had the breakfast burrito, one word will describe it… Amazing!!! Now this place has fresh ingredients. The staff is very friendly and professional. I also thought the gift shop was nice as well. I will definitely be coming back soon.

Tarts and bakery items = Yummy, expert, awesomeness. Food = Not so much Came in to pick up a tart to bring to dinner at a friend’s house. We decided to eat lunch after looking at the nice selection of sandwiches and chose the chicken salad on croissant. No croissants left. It was 12:15. Wouldn’t have mattered because the sandwich, which we ordered on french bread, came and had a minuscule amount(for $ 7.50) of dry, flavorless and over-onioned chicken salad. Literally four bites of actual sandwich and the remainder was bread and lettuce. Seems like a nice place, so I hope they consider re-working the kitchen side.

The tarts are to die for! I love the fact that they do take out, I can pick up lunch or dinner. The tri-tip and grilled chicken are always freshly grilled to perfect, I also love the twice baked potatoes.

She must be High or Crazy? I think the owner of The Farm must be high or crazy. I ordered my food and a coffee, set it on my table, took one bite, stepped away to look at some of the gift items displayed next to where I was seated. A woman came up to my table while I was looking at the gift items, for a moment I though it was a homeless person wanting something to eat. She picked up my plate, looked at my food while holding it at eye level, I said to her«excuse me» as she walked away with my plate. She looked back at me and said«its ok, its my place, I just want to do something with it». She then proceeded to take it behind the register/counter and conversed with the cashiers. I promptly demanded a refund. The owner tried to talk me out of wanting a refund, the girls at the register looked embarrassed of the owners actions, owner acted surprised and apologized. I told them” I have a thing about strangers touching my food once it has been served to me”. This woman(the owner) had to be high to have though it was ok to walk away with a customers food while they were still eating and think that acceptable on any level. My recommendation: If you intend to purchase and eat food at The Farm stay close to it a guard it! I won’t be going back the experience was just too weird.

Oh my. The tarts at the farm are the best tarts I’ve ever tried. They are very pretty, and tasty. They’re perfect for a party or an event because I’ve never had anyone not like it… And if their is leftovers(which is rare), you’ll have no problem with it :) Everything else I’ve tried here is good too, the pastries, soups, etc.

Delicious, fresh food, large portions. Kids had Mac & Cheese, which was really creamy and tasty. I had the club sandwich which was huge. Everyone in my party loved the food and thought the atmosphere was great. Really cute gift shop too.

This is a beautiful and comfortable café, with a relaxed atmosphere, a wonderful gift shop and delicious desserts. I can always tell if it is someone’s first time here, because you hear a chorus of «Oohs and Ahhhs» for about 15 minutes as they wander through the gift area. A treasure of a place.

Great coffee and meeting spot. The bakery is fabulous, my favorites are coconut macaroons, right after I finish my huevos Rancheros! It’s also my favorite place to pop in when I need a gift for a birthday or hostess gift, wonderful selection of fun stuff.

Best fruit tarts ever!!! There is a cute little shop inside that sells stationary, lotions and jewelry. This is a must stop for me whenever I’m in the area.

We come here often for their baked goods and if I was going to only rate the bakery, I would give 5 stars. However, because of our experience in the café, I can only give 3. We ordered over $ 60 worth of food, and initially asked for it to go. I got a house ice tea in a to go cup for $ 2.50. We ended up eating there, and I asked for an ice tea refill. I was told if it was in a «here» glass, they could refill it, but because it was in a to go cup, they would have to charge me full price. The staff went so far as to say they«don’t support this practice» and«there is nothing I can do». The final kicker; «I would get in a lot of trouble if I refilled it for you». The other staff member echoed the same. Really? An employer who doesn’t support good customer service?

Best fruit tarts! The rest of the offerings are standard and good but the thing that makes this a place to go is the tarts. In my family this has replaced birthday cakes.

Despite trying other fruit tarts all around the Bay Area, I still drive over an hour and a half to The Farm Bakery and Café to buy a fruit tart. No one makes the fruit tart like they do. Their crust is flaky and crisp, the fruit is fresh and they normally have different configurations of fruit in case you don’t care for a type. I have brought numerous people here for the past 15 years or so and everyone has become a fan of their fruit tart and other pastries. The service here is exceptional. Every person who works here is extremely knowledgable and friendly. There is a small private parking lot in the back which is convenient since the bakery is on the Cabrillo campus and street parking could potentially have you park about the equivalent of a block away. They have tables to eat indoors and benches for outside. If you love fruit tart like I do, this is the place to go to have it. I assure you, you’ll The Farm as much as I do!

I was introduced to The Farm by a good friend. I have been addicted ever since. Live in Los Gatos so have to make excuses to head over to eat and shop. Their desserts are divine. You cannot get anything that is not yummy. Cookies are good but not as great as their pastries. Eggs Benedict delicious with a lovely hollandaise. My son loved the pancakes. Latte is smooth and the coffee nice. Now the gift shop is amazing. Can never leave without spending some change on all the great items they have. So nice that this place is not far. Heading there today. This review made me hungry!

I posted this on Google as well. I bought some food, and other things(socks, and gloves) but because of their machines, it never went through. It all got voided, and I thought that was the end of it. Until I got charged for the food even though I’m not allowed to take it. I go back trying to get the refund or sandwiches after it’s done processing in my account, and because of a new girl I was never given the receipt for the food. They go back to try and figure it out, and once again the computers aren’t working. All while the manager sat there talking about how they’ve had customers lie to get food, which I get, but she sat there, and more than once said I was lying. I wasn’t. It was insulting to say the least, and didn’t know how to smile, and I was disgusted. The only redeeming quality is they gave me new sandwiches today but kept my name and number in case«something happens» At this point I’ll pay for another 2 just to be finished with all this. This will be my last time shopping at The Farm.

I used to love coming here for the basic breakfast once a week – eggs over easy and hash browns. Nothing too fancy, but the homey atmosphere was relaxing, you could sit outside on a nice day, and the food was good. But, the last three times I came for it, the short order cook burned the heck out of my eggs. Eggs over easy with a thick crunchy brown crust are just not appetizing to me. The first two times it happened I sent them back. He just trimmed the edges until there wasn’t much left but yolk instead of making them again. The third time, he burnt both my eggs and my wife’s huevos rancheros. I took them back up to the counter and told them what was wrong and that it was the third time this had happened. They asked if I wanted new eggs or my money back. I said, no, we were just tired of having our eggs burned and left. It’s a shame really. It’s not that hard to make decent eggs and they clearly know how to cook here. I don’t know whether it’s just the guy on the griddle not being good or not paying attention, but 3 times is enough chances for them.

I really enjoy my lattes, they are nicely flavored and the espresso is not bitter. Breakfast is good too, it is perfectly portioned. While waiting the gift shop area is super fun to browse around, even though it is boutique pricing(everything including food is overpriced) it is still fun to look at. Although it is a bit expensive, I enjoy this guilty little pleasure a couple times or more a month. I have bought several things from the gift shop too… because they were so cute! Watch out! They’ll trap you :) My only real complaint is the friendliness of the staff. They always seem irritated or put out by having to help people in line. I’ve only had 1 super rude girl, and 1 super sweet girl and the rest are just bland in their service and smiles. They should really be greeting customers and acknowledging people in line… or at the very least smiling. I have been coming here for a long time and I am a professional in customer service so maybe my opinion is a little biased? Either way, I’ll still come here because it is delicious :)

3.5÷5 solid stars Wow! Their tarts are delicious! Their crust is buttery and delicious. I have been fortunate to try two different tarts: 1) Mixed fruit tarts(blue berries, kiwi, strawberries, nectarine etc): 4⁄5 yum, delicious and probably my favorite. 2) Raspberry jam tart: 2.5÷5 eh, this was okay. It was raspberry jam, and not actually raspberries on top. I prefer the first two over this one.(not pictured)

You can tell this is a total hangout for the Cabrillo college crowd with laptops and textbooks spread out on most tables. Needless to say, with all the study sessions going on, it was a little loud and crowded for my taste. Huge chalkboard menu(I hate that) chock full of soups, sandwiches, salads, quiche, coffee drinks, pastries, cookies, and yes, the fruit tart looks amazing. For breakfast, lunch and dinner order at the counter, they give you a number and you go find a seat. Don’t be fooled into thinking that the 3 – 4 tables when you first enter are all there is, there is a back room to the left with lots more seating. My husband and I both opted to try the Club Sandwich($ 7.75): roasted diestel turkey, nitrate-free bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise on sliced, toasted French or whole wheat bread. We also ordered two mango iced teas to complete our meal. It was good but nothing special The gift shop offers unique jewelry, personal accessories, books and cards, housewares, toys and children’s apparel, body care and more. It was staggering how much merchandise was crammed into such a small space. I regretted having all my Christmas shopping done as there were many things I could have purchased. Oh well, I’ll just have to plan a return trip. I’d definitely go back and have a nice cappuccino and a pastry or sit out on the nice sunny patio. Very nice!
