History
Located in historic Appomattox County, Falling River Golf Club opened 1965. It was designed with nine holes and later added nine holes to complete the course as designed. It quickly became a favorite for golfers of Appomattox and all over central and southwest Virginia. Falling River is a private club with over 350 members. Our facility is one of the best values in Virginia. Our 18 hole course has been the host of many tournaments. Our Banquet Hall facility accommodates many socials, wedding parties, and tournament events and is available for rental by contacting our Pro Shop for rate and availability.
With gently rolling hills and undulating greens, the course is challenging but fair. Falling River is always in great condition. The bent grass greens are true and moderately quick. Bent grass fairways will soon give way to Bermuda grass fairways. Falling River has many long range projects that will showcase the course even more. The official yardage is 647
