EyeCare for You is a locally owned and operated, family-​oriented practice that was founded on the belief that the highest standards of quality should be applied to all aspects of eye care. We believe that vision exams need to be comprehensive and should utilize the latest medical techniques and technology to provide the most accurate diagnoses.

EyeCare for You is a family business run by a husband and wife team with the support of its wonderful staff. We understand that life is busy and your family has places to be. We value your time so we don’t overbook our appointments and we always strive to have the lowest possible wait times.

We believe that caring begins by taking the time to listen to the needs and concerns of our patients. Our goal is to never rush any exam and to ensure that all your questions have been thoroughly answered. This helps us establish trusting relationships will all of our clients. Meet the Business Owner

Kara R.

Business Owner

Dr. Kara has been a practicing optometrist since 2009 and loves seeing patients of all ages, from infants to seniors. She enjoys taking time to listen to her patients to help develop a better understanding of their lifestyle. With this information, she creates custom recommendations for her patient’s visual needs for the comfort, health, and long term protection of their eyes.

During her rotations in Optometry school, she worked at the internationally renown Perkins School for the Blind, School of Helen Keller. Since this time, she has had a focus on helping patients with low vision improve their functional abilities. She also enjoys working with children and has a passion for detecting issues early to prevent long term vision problems.

Dr. Kara is an enthusiastic volunteer and in 2011, she established a vision clinic at the Raleigh Rescue Mission, providing full eye exams and glasses to hundreds of the Raleigh homeless community. She continues to volunteer there regularly.
